Therefore, for that moment I felt like I was in heaven when I stopped in and saw the wine selections, my heart was happy, I felt like I was back home in Seattle, WA, and for those of you who have never been to Washington State, one thing you need to know is this, you can buy beer, wine and liquor very late at any grocery store, 7-11, gas stations and/mom & pop stores in and outiside of the city and that's why I was so happy to see Trader Joe's in DC had the option to shop for both groceries libations (wine). The staff members are always happy to help you find items, and customer service is always great, in my opinion. I love me some Trader Joe's, even if I'm not able to purchase wine at my local Trader Joe's, or not is still my favorite place to shop for my groceries since I eat the same thing I already know how much I'm going to spend on griceries. and I will take the drive. Probably a similar story for many others. Once we started to venture out we made small trips and avoided any large stores. Because of my food allergies (gluten being a big one but not the only) we live on a restricted diet and focus on organic and local food where possible. Until the pandemic we preferred Yes! Market on Columbia road. Well street market had opened almost across the street but we had not ventured there because of our cloistered lives. Since we started venturing out we have gone to this store and found it quite good. It has plenty of organic and wholesome options and in many cases has a wider verity compared with the smaller Yes! I am finding that they compliment each other in that there are items I prefer from one store or the other. I am glad to have Street Market in the neighborhood as a great compliment to Yes and a way better alternative to Safeway up the street or the crowded whole foods on p street.
