This was a great find. I've been cooking Asian dishes a lot recently. They often call for very specific ingredients. This spot had almost everything I needed. Very Reasonably priced also! The guy at the register was also very helpful. I would definitely recommend!

Great Stop and Shop store for all your sauces, dumplings, egg rolls, fish and rice products. Tired of waiting in line for lottery tickets? Get them quickly here. Best kept secret in Bowie. A little hard to find if you don't know the area. Palawan is behind where the Centrone's pizza place use to be. Only a skip and jump from the Lidl supermarket on the "Old Route 450."

After my GPS said I had arrived, I could not figure out how to find this place. I am grateful for everyone's comments on Yelp saying it is hidden in the back of the shops. And behind the shops it looks like nothing is there. I was going to walk to the back but decided to drive behind the shops to see if there was any parking. There is! A lot of it actually. And there are some right in front of this market. Makes it easier if you're buying a lot of stuff. Lordis is the owner. As soon as I walked in she greeted me with a wonderful smile. I told her I needed a few things to make a recipe for mango and sticky rice. They had all the ingredients and she was even kind enough to walk around the store and show me everything. I also ended up buying other items. They have a lot of great frozen and grocery items. I am very happy I found this place and I hope to come back again.

A small specialty grocery store selling a specific food group. Check out the homemade ready food at the counter.

Store is small, not a big selection. The customer service though is excellent. Extremely polite, friendly and helpful.

Ask the Community - Palawan Oriental Market

Has the store relocated? I drove past that area TODAY (3/9/17) and didn't see it or a sign that it had been there.

I know this is hella late since you posted in March but, yes, it is still located in the back of the building next to the Klotz Institute of Karate.

The only major shock that I had was buying hot food and bringing it at home. The sticker shock on my food had me frozen and stalled for a moment then I got passed it. They have everything in the store just a variety is varieties of produce and cheese and meat which I don't eat. The breads are beautiful; I've spent more time standing in the aisle than I should have just looking over stuff. Do not go to the grocery store hungry that's a general statement for all grocery stores, but particularly Wegmans. I was walking down the aisles planning in my head how big a sandwich I can make or should I go to the deli bar and have them make the sandwich. There's so many products to choose from such as bread, condiments, cheese produce, and a vegetable even my faux meats. Wegmans has their own brand of plant base meats. I can take all of the ingredients home and build it as big as I want and as sloppy as I want. It was just too much to consider but I'm glad I encountered Wegmans. I'm gonna miss it when I go back to the West Coast. My suitcase will be full of Wegmans food instead of souvenirs from the various sites of the area.‍‍

The one I selected was in my opinion, a pretty good looking melon. It had the right coloring on the bottom and felt really heavy. However, after returning home, I proceeded to cut into it and I thought it was about to erupt! It started oozing a very strong and foul odor. I have never experienced this before. Given the condition of the melon I immediately bagged it and trashed it. So, the next day I returned to the store to speak with someone at customer service. I spoke with Sharon who was working the customer service department at the time. I told her about my experience and presented her with my receipt. She expressed her disappointment with my situation and asked if I would like to get one in its place. I told her thanks but no thanks. So she provided me with a store credit. She did ask if I had the melon with me to return but I told her there was no way I could bag it and keep it on hand to bring back. It was just too messy and smelly! I just wanted to thank her for assisting me and providing me with a store credit.

Especially when you have children with you. The condition of this store's bathroom is absolutely deplorable. I was disgusted, it is clear that no one has attended to this bathroom in weeks. I cannot imagine that a chain such as wise does not have the resources to hire a cleaning company to do the bathroom at least once to eat. In fact, I know they have the resources to do so given the prices of the groceries. it was disgusting tissue all over the floor, the floors were cruddy with dirt and grime, there was barely any soap, the paper towel dispenser was broken, the toilet paper holders were falling off of the walls, and the toilet themselves were broken and disgusting.
