We had lunch at Bodega on our trip to Charleston and it was great! I had a passion-fruit mango mimosa and a coconut mojito special and they were wonderful. My husband has an iced coffee with added flavoring and he loved it. My kids loved their breakfast sandwiches and I had a chicken salad sandwich and it was incredible. I ordered chips with it and got a bag of chips. I thought they were house made chips, so that was a bit of a disappointment. My husband also loved his chicken Caesar sandwich. Such a beautiful space. My mimosa was adorable! They made a butterfly out of an orange peel for a garnish. I ordered toast but it was more of a sandwich roll. The home fries were delicious. My friends enjoyed their espresso martinis and sandwiches. Generous portions and overall a good experience. Will be back to try more! read more

Went with my wife and three children here and had a great time. Excellent atmosphere and energy in the space, and the food was absolutely incredible. Two of my kids had a bacon egg and cheese, and my other had a Turkey, bacon, cheese sandwich. I had the Gropfather and split with my wife who got a special sandwich called the knuckle Sammy with grilled chicken, cheddar Jack, bacon, avo, and chipotle aioli. Both were excellent. We ate here for dinner last night since we were seeing a show at Charleston Music Hall. When I saw Bodega was nearby, we had to go! I've been following them on Instagram for a while and have always wanted to try their mouthwatering sandwiches. I hate driving downtown though so I haven't found the chance to visit until tonight. I ordered the Gropfather and it tastes as good as it looks. I could only eat half though because it's a huge sandwich! Luckily my husband wasn't able to eat lunch so he was happy to eat my other half. He got the Truffle burger and it was also very yummy and I love the B on the sandwich bun (very fun touch)! Service was great and the food was SO fresh. We also loved the fun atmosphere. I guess the only small complaint I'd have is their house chips lacked seasoning. They were pretty bland (my daughter got these with her meal). If I'm in the area, I'd for sure visit again and either make sure I have a buddy to split the sandwich with or know I'm going home right afterwards for leftovers! read more

I recently went to Bodega around 7am and had a nice relaxing breakfast. They are tucked away on a quiet little alley and decorated perfectly. Their vibe is out of this world good. The girl who took my order told me one artist did the entire restaurant and she did an absolutely perfect job! The staff were so friendly and answered all my questions. The sand which was massive and soooooo delicious. The ingredients were so fresh! The coffee was so good and I even took it with me when I left! I will definitely be back to Bodega maybe to try lunch or dinner as well! A must try if your in the area. read more

We stopped there after visiting the Children's Museum and we all enjoyed our meals. My son had the PB&J lunch box, my daughter had the chopped cheese, and I had the vegan chopped cheese. I love that they had something to accommodate both my picky eaters and my vegetarian diet. The only thing to note is that it is co-located with Share House so just make sure you are walking into the right restaurant. read more

Then the server took another 20 minutes to get us the drink and let us order. Food took an hour to come out and 2 if 4 orders were missing items. Food was decent. Also ordered chopped cheese...bill now $28...plus 3 sodas...bill shoots up to $41...and they forget our fries. $48 (including tip) got us a sub par burger and half of a peanut butter sandwich. Tried to eat kiddo's fries. They were like cardboard. Server was nice. She brought us an extra cookie since our fries were MIA. So loud I couldn't hear myself think. Won't be back. Really cute place! We liked the vibes and the sandwiches were delicious, but unfortunately there were some things that could be improved upon. We ordered soda with our meal and the cups were very small. When you are eating sandwiches (or pizza or anything bready) you typically want a good amount of drink to keep your mouth from drying out. So, I would suggest to the owner that he make the cups bigger that the soda and water are served in (would help the wait staff too from having to refill the cups super frequently). Secondly, the food took way too long to get for what we ordered. We just ordered 2 sandwiches (no sides or anything) and it took about 40-45 minutes to receive. Our server did check on us a lot though which we appreciated. However, I think because of the wait times, next time we will just order take out. Also, I think a $15 sandwich should include cheap fries. Seems again stingy on the owners part. I don't think soda, water, and fries should be breaking the bank. read more
