My second visit to Bob's was so much nicer than the first. This time I stopped to buy some fish as advertised on a sign by the road. The help was leaning on a mop, talking with a friend.I glanced at the clock. He complained bitterly that he had nothing to do all day. They talked for five more minutes about pickup trucks, girls,sports... Just by chance we stopped at Bobs for dinner. What a surprise. Parking lot was filled with local vehicles, always a good sign. Ordered lobster rolls, whole lobsters all was fantastic. Looks like a fish market, which it is but a lot of no too pretty places in Maine has great food. Baked stuffed haddock was great. Its included baked potato needed ten more minutes and seemed more boiled than baked. Lobster roll was very good. Seafood chowder was tasty but mostly potatoes. Calamari not bad but probably wouldn't order again. Kids chicken fingers only came with two and a bunch of fries. Fries were a bit soft but good. We ate there on St. Patricks day it was our first time there and I must say we loved it! it was pretty busy but got a seat right away, they were prompt and friendly. My absolute favorite for seafood. I ask to be taken here for every birthday, mother's day, etc. I regularly eat here as I get my hair done next door every 6 weeks. It's worth the drive from Biddeford. They have a senior citizen clam dinner for only $7 and it is the perfect amount of food. The french fries are hand cut and are excellent. Came here with my family and I ordered the lobster steamer dinner. Had a 1-1/4 lb steamed lobster with corn on the cob and steamed clams. It was very good and I enjoyed sitting outside. Everything is fresh. Will come here again next time I am in Sebago. read more

Food was fine, but the service was unacceptable. My dad ordered at the counter for the four of us and grabbed a seat just as we for many years when visiting Bob's. About 20 minutes later a server came by and said they were now a full service restaurant. My dad said he didn't know and she said something like - we'll figure it out. A few minutes later other waitstaff came over one at a time to stick their nose into the situation. The worst was when the young woman who took the order at the counter came over and rudely said, "You're eating here?! I wish I'd known that!" Forty-five minutes later she tossed our food onto the table and loudly proclaimed, "Here's your take-out!" (They actually served the food in takeout containers while everyone around us had their food served on regular plates. It was a little humiliating.) This whole situation could have been avoided if the cashier who took the original order had simply asked if the order was to be eaten there or for take out. There is no sign indicating the new system for this restaurant - how could we possibly know the new procedure? This was an epic fail. I will not be going back. I think all involved were simply concerned about getting a tip and could have cared less about our experience. A woman at a table near us actually spoke up to a server for us. She said, "I've been sitting here watching the interactions you all have had with that family (meaning us). You've been rude - you could have served their meals on regular plates and treated them kindly. A simple mistake was made and you could have fixed it easily." read more

Yesterday was my grandfathers birthday and he wanted seafood. He chose to try out Bobs. (His name is Bob so he thought it sounded good!) Since he recently had surgery and is unable to leave the house, we had to op for take out instead. My mom called to place the order around 5. We had a total of 9 dinners. We realized it was a large order and it was around dinner time so we said we could wait until 6:30 to pick it up. The girl took the order and said okay, see you at 6:30. A few minutes later, a different girl called my mom and said "unfortunately we're not able to do large take out orders between 5-6:30. The girl that took your order is new and did not know that. However we will do it as a courtesy this one time." A few minutes after that, ANOTHER girl called my mom and said that they won't be able to do the order at all, unless we wanted to wait till 7:30. Yeah.. no thanks. He's an 85 year old diabetic and can not wait until 7:30 to eat dinner. So needless to say we did not end up getting anything. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service. If you're not going to offer take out during dinner time, don't offer it at all. read more

The seafood here is very good. The atmosphere is casual. Prices are on the high side (especially for Maine standards). This would be a 5 star place if the service was good. Unfortunately it's not. No one bothers to clean the tables and the food is slow. What bothers me the most though is they give you NO lobster crackers, NO bib & NO wet naps when you spend $40 on a lobster dinner. Instead they keep them behind the counter and doll them out upon special request. I had high hopes this would be my go-to for lobster but it looks likes that won't be the case. read more

Overall, a great local seafood place. Now that the Weathervane and Newicks are both gone in the Portland area, this is about the best around. We received a surprise gift of lobster meat from my sister! The one thing I miss from Maine is it's great Maine Lobster! The lobster meat arrived fresh, tasted sweet, and there was enough for several meals! The first thing I made was what I call a Loaded Lobster Stew. And just as it sounds, it was loaded with sweet, fresh Maine Lobster! We also made lobster rolls and still have enough left for another feast or two. The next time we are longing for the great taste of Maine Lobster or other seafood, you can be sure we'll contact Bob's Seafood. (We don't find fresh seafood in the Arizona desert!) read more

I've been going here with my family for over ten years and we've never had a bad meal. Kid's plates are good, and the hand cut fries are excellent. The fried haddock and cole slaw are the best, and my SO says the lobster and steamers are perfect. Service is fast, and they usually check on you mid-meal. My husband and I enjoy the great food at Bob's!! We especially like the buy one/ get one 1/2 off Haddock dinners!! There is so much food, we probably should share one dinner!! The fish is always light and flakey, the fries always good (you have to try the Sweet Potato fries!), and the price can't be beat!
