The seafood was fresh and tasted great, the prices seemed a bit high but for fresh seafood in the middle of the winter I guess it was OK. Lots of choices, I got a "Bob's Combo 3" which had Fried Clams, Scallops and Haddock and they were all very good. read more

Recently visited Bobs with family while on vacation. The new updated restaurant is very nice with a good atmosphere. However we found that the kitchen wasn't able to keep up with the number of tables plus take out orders. We were told the wait for a table was 45min but then the wait for food was 90min to 2 hours. Seems like the kitchen needed expansion too. The food was pretty good. I recommend the fish tacos! The French fries leave nothing to be desired. Would go again and sit in the patio area for a drink. But overall was just ok. read more

In 2015, there aren't a lot of places worth eating at in Windham. Bob's is one of the places that is. Unpretentious in every way, the seafood is fresh, and comes in generous portions. The fried dinners are tasty, and the lobster rolls are a good value. Oh, and it's BYOB. read more

So happy Bob's has reopened after their expansion. Really nice job with remodel and they still have their great seafood. We'll have to come back for a beer next time! read more

We've been here several times. The food is decent, but the prices seem a bit high. $22 for a lobster roll on a hot dog bun... no sides come with it, not even chips or a pickle. Not even any lettuce on the lobster roll. I did enjoy the fried clam/scallop plate. The fried whole belly clams were breaded and cooked perfectly as were the scallops. The plate came with a large portion of fresh cut fries, cole slaw and a roll. This was a much better value than the lobster roll. Again, good food but a bit pricey. read more

Bob's has a great atmosphere and the food is very good. The prices are very high for the amount of food that you get. The wait staff is nice and accommodating but the clam chowder came in a take out container on a dish and we were eating inside. I don't think I will go there again in the near future but it is always crowded so what do I know. read more

This place was very good, Started out with Some shark bites that where tender and tasty. The waitress we had named Val was so good and meals arrived hot. I had scallops with their homemade fries.Best scallops I've had , cooked to a dark golden brown and the fries are like the fair fries. This is a great place ,check it out read more

Just visited and the parking lot is 100 % ice. They didn't even attempt to sand or salt. Be careful, this is the second time I've been here and had an issue. read more

Only because I can't give it zero. Waited over an hour for a lobster roll. It never came. No updates no nothing it is obvious these people never ran a restaurant. Good luck if you go there. This place use to be great new owners blew it. read more

Overall the seafood was great, jalapeño Rangoon was absolutely our favorite and the variety of local brews on tap was a plus. The French fries were not so great. Seemed like they had been sitting out for hours, they were very soggy and had no crisp to them. The side of my main course is almost as big as the main, and it did not hold up to par. Hopefully the recipe for them changes soon! read more

All about supporting local business during covid. But this was some of the worst service ever. It took over 35 minutes to serve us fried chicken tenders that didn't even come tossed in the sauce? Just dry, plain tenders on a plate with sauce on the side. We cancelled the rest of our order after we realized that more than one table next to us had been served their appetizers AND dinners before we even got our dry...plain...tenders. We were told that we came during rush hour and there was nothing they could do. I could've gone to McDonald's down the street and came back before being served. Will not be going again and would not recommend. read more

We stopped here si.ply because the funny name "bob". We had been joking about it the whole trip so when we saw it we had to stop. At first glance inside we almost turned around. Then we saw the line for takeout. That many people told us we needed to look closer. We saw some fried clam plates and they looked great. Normally I say frying seafood is a sin but here it was awesome. Fried clams and fried haddock. Awesome. Steamed clams and baked haddock. Awesome. Extremely fresh seafood. Would be 5 stars but it is a bit expensive. read more

Incredible fried seafood! Good lord, I can't say enough about Bob's. Eat outside and enjoy the oysters, clams, and scallops. We did have lobster, but it looked delish. read more

This place is awesome... They are so friendly and aim to please...Food is out of this world fresh...and plenty of it. As a Mainiac transplant that now lives in NC...I really miss Maine seafood and can always get it here at a great price... not like the touristy spots on the coast... Bob won't cook or serve it if it isn't fresh... Use to think Newick's was the only place but guess where I go now!! read more

Always great to stop here. No hype and no hassle. Seafood always off the boat fresh and reasonable. Chowda New England style...superb. read more

The prices Are great but the cashiers try to be nice BUT I went in and my old 80 mother went to buy some fish. She usually has cash on her but she didn't she used her visa debit card. They asked her for a pin. She doesn't remember her pin. I said to run it as a credit card. The lady was telling me there is no way to do it. Here is some background on me. I worked in merchant bank card services. We actually use to service this company but they are all the same. You can choose either or but it is cheaper to use a debit transaction then a credit card. The cashier who knows everything said " thAts not true" it's all the same . Ummm no it isn't I know this for a fact. I'm trying to advocate for the older generation who don't know PIN numbers because let's face it a lot don't. Instead of taking a beat and saying... let me see what I can do... but to argue about how it isn't your fault . But it is. Lack of educAtion and that know it all attitude. Then as I was leaving she was looking at me like I was the crazy person in reality I know what I was talking about. You need to better educAte your employees. Because I don't want another elderly person come into your store and try to use a debit card and not know their PIN number and told they can't run the transaction. Bad customer services when just some education on how to use the POS system would mean a sale and a happy customer or what happens today. read more

Decent food overpriced. It was my favorite place to go for seafood for the last eight years. However, the price started rising faster than any other seafood restaurant around over last three years, while the quality of food remain the same. People's unproven hype that jacked up the price at Bob's. This year I found Dena's Seafood about quarter miles away. I am so glad that we found that place with good food at unbeatable price. That restaurant replaced Bob's for us. read more

We went on a Friday night and were seated right away on their beautiful back patio. It was a beautiful night, perfect for sitting outside. Most of us ordered fish tacos. After 50 min, I asked the server if she could check on our food. She said, "Oh, they didn't tell you about the one hour wait for food"? Ummmm...no. Why?...Apparently, they are so busy with their takeout orders, it slows down the food of the people who actually take the time to go there. Finally, after 1 hr the food arrived. The french fries were very dry and room temp...like they were frozen, then reheated. The fish tacos would have been delicious if they'd been served with some type of crema, or at the very least, a wedge of lime. There was absolutely no flavor. It did come with some type of salsa, but again, it was so dry and flavorless, it did nothing to add to the tacos. The sides of coleslaw were served in tiny plastic takeout cups. It's really too bad because with a few tweeks, the food could be so much better and the setting was nice. I definitely won't be going back. read more

Ok, so been going by ever since they reopened and place was packed. 130 pm today parking lot half full so decided to go onto Tap Room. Place pretty empty. Seats about 65 and about a dozen or so people there. Few more at take out side. Half confused on why still so many cars in lot. Help? Tap room nice, but generic decor. Dull plain Fabric art to dampen noise apparently. Would not know you are in ME----could be anywhere. Wait staff cordial, but appeared new. At one poibt, despite being not full, kitchen staff had to come out and tell server Food was waiting. A bit better dress code for wait staff would avoid ragged shorts that were too small and too short. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. But, Oh kinda bummed. Burger good size, but clearly not homemade. Fries all around limp----sitting under heating lamp? Clam bellies, ok but more fries than belly. Shade cooked to long, so a bit tough. Onion rings---crumbs but think coating. Just ok. Overall a "C" glad we tried but not worth a repeat. read more

Good fresh food!! Lobster rolls are good but remember to ask them to grill your buns! I got the fried scallops basket which was nice and fresh with a good amount of scallops and fries that are hand cut there and fried. They are busy so call ahead. My only complaint is that they should be making their cocktail and tartar sauce from scratch it would enhance their fresh food. You can also buy your fresh lobsters here and other fresh seafood. read more

Well the renovation is complete and Bobs has reopened. My first visit post reopening may be my last. What a disappointment for this Value seeking Thrifty gal. The Haddock Sandwich and chowder I previously got for $12 today cost me a little over $20 Ya, so not the spot I'll visit for a nice quick lunch anymore. Either Bob's isn't serving CUPS of chowder or my inattentive server didn't listen to me when ordering as I got a crock instead of a cup. The Haddock Sandwich also was a bit of a FAILURE with pieces of the noticeably Smaller portion of Haddock kept Falling apart, not what I want when attempting to eat a sandwich Even the Tarter sauce was a fail as there was no detectable relish or lemon among the Mayo... When ordering I was asked if I wanted french fries or Coleslaw. I ordered the coleslaw but it was not delivered with my food, so I he to ask for it. Bob's was Not busy at my arrival or departure so my order should have been taken correctly and all components delivered with it. As earlier stated I ordered a cup of chowder but since I received a crock I couldn't finish it and when I asked for a to go cup for my chowder, I was brought a container for the sandwich. I gave the woman a strange look of confusion and asked again for a container for my soup and waited a few minutes for it. I was NOT IMPRESSED with the SERVICE or the Haddock. Sorry Bob's, I was a regular a couple times a month before this renovation buy likely won't go back if this experience is representative of what can now be expected. read more

This place had its ups and downs for me. Definite "+s" would be some delicious, heart healthy seafood stew, above average french fries, and a "take out" style with a neat porch. What this placed lacked was a beer/wine cooler (only beverages sodas and bottled water) and being right on rt 302. Might be BYOB but not sure. Certainly deserves a peek if you're in the Sebago Lake area. read more

My girlfriend and I stopped here for dinner the very first time tonight and we couldn't be more happy with the service, food and atmosphere.

I want to update my previous review. We must have dined on an "off night" because everyone told us they were shocked by our first experience. So, it took us a while, but we went back to Bob's with some out-of-towners. Our food was amazing. The lobster rolls were delicious, the shrimp was piping hot and crisp. I have no complaints. In fact, when I asked an employee if the lobster rolls contained just knuckle/claw or if they contained tail, he went out of his way to include tail in our lobster rolls. I will DEFINITELY go back to Bob's!! read more

Giving 5 stars because I don't want to impact their business. First off: put up a sign in your taproom that says seat yourself, so I don't stand their like a fool for 5 minutes... beer is way overpriced. Mixed drinks were good, but pricey. Food was very good, just a little slow. Hang some curtains or some ceiling tiles to deafen the sound. Unreal loud. We sat in silence once we were done yelling at each other. read more

The fried clams were very good, but not the larger fat bellies others serve. The steamers were delicious also. Everything was piping hot, especially the lobster. Unfortunately for us, the lobster were soft shell, which translates to less meat until the lobster grows into it's new shell. They do not sell, beer, just soft drinks & water. But, you are allowed to bring your own beer inside to your table. Home made french fries were delicious, but tend to cool as we ignored them and concentrated on our seafood. Nice friendly staff. read more

Oh boy, let me tell you about their clams. Big helpings, not a lot of batter, delightful!! Great deck seating, BYOB , and easy parking. The wait times are a little long but are worth it. read more

Went to bobs for the first time yesterday. We are so glad we did! The food was awesome and the service excellent. We will be back a lot! My wife and I had the fish and chips dinner special! The fish was perfect, l also had a bucket of mussels! Perfect execution! My only suggestion is a plying suggestion. Didn't like that the fish was plated over the fries. My experience is that when this is done the fries get a little soft and soggy. This was the case here. We like them crispy! We will be back! read more

We were so happy to have Bob's seafood back online. The new digs are beautiful and the additional seating awesome. We were delighted to find an uptown new menu with all the old favorites there too. The wait staff was friendly informative and fast. The meal was great as usual. Deckhouse step back Bob's is back and awesome. read more

Lobster roll is heaping with fresh, tasty lobster and it's not swimming in mayo like a lot of places. Bottom line: it's delicious, just be prepared to pay. We had two lobster rolls, two cups of clam chowder and a kids cheese quesadilla (just tortilla and cheese). Add an iced tea and the bill was $44.95. Ouch. read more

Went to the Tap Room in August and came back for more Christmas week and also bought fresh seafood to cook at my in-laws. Food is great. People working there are super nice and attentive. Welcoming environment to everyone. We will be back next visit to the in-laws! P.S. stuffed haddock is a must try! read more

Simply the best ... Always super friendly counter people .. I love coming all year round .. Prices are very good. Fair market prices.

I randomly stopped here with some time to kill before a wedding over the weekend. The place was packed when I walked in. Counter style service, I was just looking for a clam roll to go. When I placed my order there was a hand written sign that said 25 minute wait on all orders. I thought that was appropriate (and kind of nice to know how long to expect to wait) given the amount of people. I probably waited ten minutes and my clam roll and onions rings were ready and boy was it good. My only complaint was the tartar sauce in the packets wish they had homemade but I didn't use much of it anyway. read more

Food was alright. Typical bar food. Out door seating is alot better than it used to be.

Good solid seafood. Portions are large and everything is fresh. It can get very busy so go early if you want a seat!

Stopped in with my cycling friends while riding to Portland. Nice bar area inside and nice seating outside. I had fried oysters, another ordered the lobster roll and the third had the fish tacos. All were good, but I think the fish tacos were the best. I stopped on my way back and had them. Good beers on tap. read more

it is my 19th summer in Maine and each time i'm here i HAVE to stop @ Bob's Seafood. the freshest seafood, amazing service and fantastic prices. Bob's Seafood is our favorite place to eat. Never disappointed. read more

My husband and I went to Bob's Seafood in Windham on Sunday night on 7/18. We placed an order for two main meals (seafood items) some steamers and salads. The steamers were supposed to be an appetizer. The bill came to roughly $112. All the food came out at one time. We had to put some of the food on the windowsill because everything came out at once. We ended up eating a cold entre because we had to decide what to eat first. So it was either eating cold steamers or cold fried clams and lobster. It was very unpleasant. When we complained to the waitress she said that everyone's meals were coming out that way and that other people have complained. I asked if there was a manager around and she said they were two I believe. We didn't want to make a scene in the restaurant because we know that times have been tough for restaurants since COVID. The kitchen is not run properly. I am very dissatisfied with the meal. In hindsight. I should've sent the steamers away and told them to take it off the bill. The kitchen manager needs to be trained and the restaurant managers need to get on the ball. If we decide to go back we will speak to the manager pronto if this happens again. read more

Only ever ordered the fresh lobsters and steamer clams to cook at home. But they are consistently fresh and good, year after year. The restaurant is often busy so assume it must be pretty good. Can't wait for my next visit...hopefully today! read more

This pains me to write this, and truthfully have toyed with writing this for weeks. Last fall myself and SO were heading up to Maine for the weekend and stopped at Bob's before getting to our destination- something my family had done for the last 11 years. We called ahead for pickup and ordered a few items including the lobster Mac and cheese. When we had gotten to our home (45minutes later) we reheated the food only to find out the lobster Mac and cheese had spoilt. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, chucked it, and moved on. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and my mom picks up a pound of their stuffed mushrooms (the mushrooms were a staple each weekend- plus a few other items). She gets home (again 45 minutes later) and goes to cook a few of the stuffed mushrooms when she sees that there's is "dirt" COVERING the entirety of the mushrooms. She pulled some of the stuffing out to reveal more "dirt" inside the mushrooms. Growing up on a farm she knew that mushrooms are grown in MANURE and that "dirt" was MANURE so she contacted them directly and asked to speak to a manager. The girl (I'll spare her name online but if Bob's sees this I'm happy to provide it to them) said my mom didn't need a manager and could speak directly to her. My mom expressed to her that the mushrooms still had a large amount of manure covering them and mushrooms must be washed before consuming (again these are pre-stuffed unwashed mushrooms) and the girl says "we never have washed our mushrooms, we wipe them off with a paper towel". First of all, ew- as if that's supposed to make us feel better? To know our favorite summer spot has been practicing unsafe food prep this entire time? This I guess was just the first time we noticed... secondly, if you're wiping them off with a paper towel, you're CLEARLY not doing a good enough job. Unfortunately, we will never be returning to Bob's seasons and honestly I'm shocked I've never gotten sick before. read more
