This is a memory for me of Bob, my name is George and I have known Bob since I was 8 and now I'm 56. I haven't been to shop for a long time and just found out he passed last year. My condolences to the family. I have been to the shop with my grandpa my dad and my son all at the same time so there a lot of memories but the one for me is when I was like 10 and I went to reach into the refrigerator to get worms and good ole MR BOB scared the crap out of me and I ran out of the shop Bob and my dad laughed then I laughed too. *This is a repost from a few years ago.* Apparently some one tried to say it was not real. Sadly it was and still is all true. To bad I can not give zero. Let me start with the fact that I have been buying my fishing stuff here for over 20 years. I have never had any trouble and am very disappointed in the way today went. Long story made short. No need to tell every rude thing that happened. The long and short is that my wife went in to buy my fishing license as we always do for Xmas. The big beard guy acts like its a big deal to help my wife. Than after she thinks it will be ok and she can just pay and go. She is told... 'You can't just buy that, my boss will get mad. You have to buy at least 10 bucks more. How about fishing stuff? Come on, I will help you pick some things." My wife said I will go else were and he said good luck. Not what I am used to around here and I would expect a lot more from this shop. read more

Stopped in to grab my fishing license and a few items. The night crawlers were good, the vibe was not. I could feel the bias, which is sad. I used to come here as a kid w/ my dad to load up for fishing trips when Bob was still around. I'll definitely be looking for another local spot to spend my money with. read more

Awesome place! Doesn't look as inviting from the outside but they have everything you need inside. I just went for a couple worms for composting (not fishing) and he immediately knew what I'd need to red wigglers for and gave me tips on how to compost, how to feed the worms etc. Fast and friendly service. read more

Every time I have gone in I've been greeted. I know they require a $6 purchase along with a fishing license because they need to cover the charges they accumulate from the bank when you use a credit or debit card. I believe it's a $6 minimum purchase when using a card. They have been around for years, I remember going when I was little. I haven't had any bad experiences with them.
