She asked a coworker I assume is a supervisor why it's not coming off. She then tried to ring them up on her register and discovered it's not on "work jeans", one of his jeans were considered to be. No sign around the store said it excluded work jeans. Even the associates didn't know that. Even the associate helping us suggested the jeans not included in the sale. They'd fit strange, too tight around the ankle, too loose around the widest part of my foot. I'd fiddled and adjusted and just wasn't happy so I brought in a pair of boots that I'd bought months before and asked for a refund. There was no drama, no issue, no problem. 10 minutes later I had a new pair of shorts and $40 or $50 refunded to my credit card and I was back in the car. As a pastor, I wear suits multiple times every week and regularly purchase dress clothing. Unfortunately, no one in the store greeted me, offered assistance, or even acknowledged me while I was shopping. I felt completely overlooked. The female employees appeared uninterested, moved very slowly, and came across as unfriendly. It honestly felt like I was being judged based on my appearance rather than treated like a customer. To make matters worse, after purchasing a suit jacket, it was simply folded up and placed in a bag rather than being put on a hanger and in a garment bag. For a store that specializes in men's formalwear, I expected better care for the merchandise I was purchasing. A customer's appearance shouldn't determine the level of service they receive. Some of your best customers may walk in dressed casually after work, the gym, or yard work. Everyone deserves to be treated with courtesy and professionalism. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I purchased what I came for, but the lack of customer service and attention to detail makes me think twice about returning.

As I was walking toward the entrance, a couple had just walked in and I was about to do the same when a woman with dark hair came out and loudly yelled, "We are not open until 9!" Her tone was extremely rude and aggressive, as if we had done something wrong by being a few minutes early. She demanded that the employees shut the doors immediately, which they did. She then walked away and drove off. About a minute later, employees reopened the doors and allowed us to enter (8:58). The situation was confusing and honestly felt very unwelcoming. I completely understand that store hours should be respected, but there is a way to communicate that respectfully. Being yelled at before even entering the store did not set a positive tone for the visit. I hope management can address this, as customer service and professionalism matter especially at opening time.

This Nordstrom Rack has plenty of inventory it just happens to be average, overpriced items that can be found at the TJ Maxx right next door or somewhere between Marshalls and Kohls. Today was probably one of the few times that I actually was looking for a pair of shoes and they happen to be some hocus I don't believe Nordstrom Rack does price matching when they add their stickers to their products but a lot of their products are overpriced whether something is on sale or not is debatable. Today I was looking for On clouds or Hokas for my upcoming trip. The Nordstrom Rack usually has comparable prices to online at the on store or even the Hoka store but after researching several items including the one in the pictures below there's no reason to shop at Nordstrom Rack anymore, instead shop online and save 10 to 20%. I really do understand sales price meaning Hoka can run better sales in most cases as the manufacturer but most items are overpriced in Nordstrom Rack. Ralph Lauren polo shirts two to three years old are still running $70 even more expensive than the outlet price, basically Nordstrom Rack is overpriced in my opinion and this one in Bakersfield has given me reason to continue to go.
