Great service by friendly staff and amazing tea! The employee answered all my questions and helped me pick drinks that would be suit me. The mojito tea with popping boba was so refreshing! Also really enjoyed my Vietnamese coffee with less cream. It was very rich and flavorful and creamy!

Medina K.

Nice service. Cool flavors! My sons loved the Oreo milk tea with boba. I enjoyed the Earl grey milk tea with boba. The interior is pretty chic and cool. Loving the look with the green background. I like how they entertained the little kids in there also.

Very pleasantly surprised! The location is in a somewhat random location very close to Stratford High School off Dairy Ashford near I-10. We tried the taro smoothie with boba and it was quite good. It was very sweet which is what the standard should be. And it's the delicious interpretation of taro, not the real vegetable root. The service was fine. And the ambiance was cool with various board games you can play while sipping on your drink. Lastly, it's not as pricey as the big chains like Kung Fu Tea and Gong Cha. Worth a try!

Northern Lights & Coconut Kumquat with Aloe Vera

Michelle Y.

Should have stuck w 2 Northern Lights. I don't like mint and didn't know the Coconut Kumquat with Aloe Vera has mint jello. I don't like mint. Hope I reminder to not get this again. Description does not look like it will have mint. It should be renamed. This drink will be tossed unfortunately.

Jasmin I.

The service was great! However, the portion size was a bit too small, the flavor was just okay, and the smoothie was too icy for my taste.

I know a Boba place that will drive you LOCO Although it may give you more gas than SUNOCO And if you buy too many drinks, it may make you a BROKE HO But you won't mind because you'll love the milk tea at BOBO Almost as delicious as Ice T's COCO Even more delicious than Sheldon's Kaley CUOCO Your waistline will hate you like Lennon's fans hated YOKO But you won't care once you taste the fruit tea at BOBO Better than every single Boba place in SOHO Makes a lot of Boba stores just vanish like a DODO More popular in NYC than f**king POKEMON GO Come and get a coffee of perfection from BOBO One of the best out in Westchase. Very friendly service, and a pretty little place over on the energy corridor. We were definitely fans of their products, and they have good prices as well. There's not too many bubble options over here on and near the Energy Corridor, so it's nice to have this one, as well as a couple of other good bobas over here now. Perhaps you should get something with dairy in it, since it's on Dairy Ashford. Definitely a place that deserves some more rapping, too. Let me get out my rapping paper. They should use me posing with the Barbi as their LOGO They should open up in Singapore, Taipei and KYOTO They will make your belly fat bounce around like a YO-YO But you will not regret the day you tried the tea at BOBO If you're a Latino then you're want more than POCO You'll gulp it down faster than the raging ORINOCO And all your former crushes will say you "used to be a SMOKESHOW" But you won't mind your excess weight, your one true love is BOBO You'll spend all your money here and you'll end up a HOBO You'll stick a flute inside your p**sy, or maybe an OBOE You'll find out this tea is your same gender and turn HOMO Because there's nothing in the world you wouldn't do for BOBO WHAT

Ambiance: Interior seems to be designed for Instagram pictures. Except for that setup, everything else is average. Seating is awful. Service: It felt like they didn't care and we were the only customers in the store when we went. Boba: It was bad. We ordered Thai tea. It was so synthetic tasting. We had Thai tea from plenty of Boba places in Houston but never experienced such bad taste. We are not going back and we do not recommend this place to anyone. It's great if you want a picture for Instagram.

Yummy mango passion fruit with brown sugar boba.

Yummy flavors and fresh fruit ingredients! Great cups to clean and reuse at home. Back again the next day for more

Been on a mission lately to try new tea houses and finally gave this place a try. Have to be honest, I was a bit skeptical about this place but I've now added it to my regular rotation. Located across the street from the high school, it's definitely worth a visit for those that enjoy a refreshing drink on a hot day. I've yet to try their milk teas, but based on the quality of the fruit teas, I'm sure it'll impress too. The price here is also very reasonable. As I mentioned in other reviews, other places are charging $6+ for smaller cups and sometimes lesser quality. Call me crazy, but I prefer when fresh fruit is used to make fruit teas. Orange pineapple tea 5/5 (50% sweet): Super refreshing on a hot day. Can taste the orange and pineapple and like that they don't dump orange juice in the tea and call it orange tea. Lychee rose tea 5+/5 (75% sweet): Wow! A new favorite. I love lychee and I love rose, so this combination is fantastic. I can taste both, and the balance of flavors is great. I've tried versions of this at other places and it comes off very artificial. Vietnamese coffee 4/5: I'm not a coffee drinker so not took a sip. It was good imo but don't have a lot to compare it against. Lychee Jamaica 4/5: I enjoyed the flavor quite a bit but wasn't sure if this was supposed to be a slushie or what. It seemed over blended to be a slushie and was almost more smoothie like. Will be back to try more drinks!

This location was featured as top 15 boba spots on the Houston chronicle website & since I consider myself the "king of boba" I figured I'll give place a try. Let's start with the service & decor. Cute aesthetically pleasing & Instagram worthy with well presented drinks. Service from the cashier was awesome as well, she was very patient & recommended all the popular drinks. Here's what I ordered. * lychee rose fruit tea with lychee jelly- such a refreshing drink & tasted like real lychee. However, far as the tea it was a bit weak. The jelly had a nice consistency. 3.5/5 * Vietnamese coffee with coffee jelly- Strong & had a fair share of bitterness to it. Great drink if you're trying to wake up or stay awake. The jelly tasted amazing. 4.8/5 * Mango milk tea (25% sugar)- I had high expectations for this drink unfortunately it tasted a bit watered down. The mango flavor was weak & so was the tea. Not sure if it was their off day or they were rushing but I was so disappointed. Considering mango is my go to drink this one was left to be desired. 2/5. Overall I was satisfied, I was expecting to give this place a 5 star but that mango milk tea was such a let down. Will I come back? Yep. Tip: they have board games just in case you want something to do.

Susan P.

I chase boba all over this city and today I ventured into a winner. My passion fruit ice blend was resplendent with fruit. The boba were perfectly rendered not overly rubbery and the service was quick and friendly. As an added plus their cups are superior to any boba holders I've encountered, sturdy, disposable and reusable? Divine!

Jacquelyn C.

This place was surprisingly good. I didn't have much expectations going in, but my drink--the coconut kumquat with aloe vera--tasted fresh and wasn't too sweet. I really liked the crunchy bits of coconut and kumquat halves that were in the drink. The minty jello was a surprise but i did not hate it. And the lychee rose was also very good. The price here is reasonable and is not $6+ like other boba shops.

Major disappointment coming in here on Saturday afternoon. The workers were not in synced at all, and did not look like they enjoy being there. We be love Bobo Tea! We had the strawberry smoothie, mango smoothie with lychee jelly, and peach tea with aloe Vera. The peach tea is soooo refreshing! I ordered to pickup thru Yelp and didn't realize that there is an up charge. Staff mentioned that it's best to call in to order for pickup so you can get in-store prices and points from your purchase. Ordering thru Yelp for pickup is about a dollar more and you don't get points. read more

Tried the Matcha Green Tea and Strawberry Slush here, both with tapioca. As some others have mentioned, their tapioca unfortunately seems undercooked, so the texture is harder and doesn't seem to be as sweet as other places. I get strawberry wherever I go and the flavor of this one just tastes more artificial. read more

This is my favourite spot to take my kids and the cousins to have some fun. It's got a great happy vibe and wonderful service. I've always had a good experience and loved the teas I've tried. They've got a good variety and I always find something for both myself and the children. I have to say, before I found this place, I was not a fan of boba tea, but now I look forward to having an outing and stopping here. From the Business

Specialties

At Bobo Tea, we specialized in serving premium handcrafted tea. Our tea leaves are carefully selected, and all our teas are brewed fresh every morning. We carry the traditional milk tea with boba, but we also strive ourselves in creating new fun drinks to meet our customers' taste. Whether you are looking for fresh fruity tea or creamy milk tea, or even non caffeinated drinks, we will have something for you.

History

Established in 2020.

A few years ago, the thought of opening a boba tea shop has been crossing our minds. The thought was finally put into action in October of 2019. We didn't really have a business plan, but we know we love teas and we want to have fun making tea and share our good teas with friends and families. With that in mind, we started out our little venture. Our philosophy is to use the ingredients that taste good, fresh and safe for our families, and that is and will always be the foundation for our business. Our tea shop, located in the energy corridor, officially opened in February of 2020. And then in March, Covid-19 hit. We had to close our store for a whole month. No one expected this, and it was a hard hit for a new business. But we pulled ourselves together and with the support from the community, we are now back in business again. We hope as time goes by, more and more people will like our tea and we can continue to share our passion for teas to all tea lovers!

I pray this business does well because they truly deserve it. I honestly can't wait to go back!

I've been here several times & I usually come here after my haircut next door. The service is awesome, Cashier was extremely kind & patient. The ambiance is cozy & laid back, it's a good spot to study since it's so quiet. Most importantly the drinks are great. My favorite drink is their watermelon smoothie. Such a refreshing drink for a hot day. It's smooth, sweet & addictive. I get it just about every time. The mango tea is also solid and I can taste the actual tea. The mango matcha latte is also a nice one. Good mango flavor just wish the matcha was stronger. Their signature Kozy bear milk tea for me is a thumbs up. Good tea flavor and creamy. Now the only flaw they have is not having much milk teas. Most of it are cream teas & I was informed that they don't have tea flavors in it. I'm not a fan of that but they have a decent selection of fruit teas. Overall, I'm satisfied. This location is a gem. They also have snacks for you to munch on (fried chicken wings, popcorn chicken, fried fish balls, dumplings etc). If you want ice cream they got that too. Will I be back? This will be my go to spot since I get my hair cut next door. Shoutout to the cashier & the person making my drinks. They even took time to draw on the cup that says "enjoy", give em a raise. The little things will always be noticed by me. Just wanted to add that the boba spot before this at the same location was trash with horrible service. Thankfully since the name change, everything has improved.

The staff will draw a line on the cup and you'll fill it with toppings (jelly, boba, basil seeds, etc) to the line, then hand it back to them for the actual tea itself! I had a mango green tea, half sweet with boba and mango jelly. The tea flavor itself was good, but next time I might even do less sugar because it was still a little too sweet. My sister got the grapefruit tea which had freshly squeezed grapefruit, made to order. It is one of her favorites and she says she always orders it when it's available. There were a few tables for seats if you want to stay and hang out! Otherwise, the staff was very kind and helpful. Will be sure to go again!
