First impression it looked very greasy. Nice crisp though and the sauce had a great tang.

I have been a long time patron of Donerick's Pub. I must confess I was a little skeptical when I heard a new pizza place was moving into the bar. I thought the pizza Donerick's offered had always been surprisingly good. Before I had a chance to try Bobby Jo's new pizza Barstool released their review. They were given a fairly high score. So my expectations for Bobby Jo's were pretty high. Saturday I finally had a chance to try it. I ordered a small pepperoni. They accidentally messed up my order and gave me a large. They didn't charge me any more for it so no complaints here. I thought the pizza had a nice crisp and the sauce had a very tasty tanginess. I'm undecided if I like it more than the old Donerick's pizza. It's a completely different style. But it was definitely a tasty pie!

This is kind of crazy but what high praise for Artisan Pizza Cafe to RECOMMEND Bobby Jo's Pizza to me. Both businesses had nothing but praise for each other's products. Met Danny the owner. This is just another owner that is fabulous, super nice and spent the time to share his story of doing pop-up's to spread the word about his business. I decided I would order a pepperoni/mushroom/hot honey pizza. He is using a semolina flour to get that crispy New Haven type crust with a nice char and crispy feel. The sauce had a great tomato flavor to it. Cheese was perfect and flavorful. Add those Ezzo's pepperoni. Yummy. He is cooking his mushrooms prior to using which makes them phenomenal. Add some hot honey to finish it off and you have a great pizza. If you get a chance you have to check his creations out. This is just another example of our great small businesses in Central Ohio.

The ambiance was inside Donerick's Pub because they are renting the space for making their excellent pizzas and sandwiches.

We…read morespent over $80 on a to-go order that included two Gina's Gem, a big cheese pizza, and a salad. The pizza arrived cold but was still edible. Unfortunately, the Gina's Gem was nothing like what was advertised. I was expecting warm, crusty bread with a roasted cheese dip on the side so you could tear pieces of bread and dip them into the cheese. Instead, the cheese had already been spread directly onto the bread and toasted together. Because of that, the bread lost the texture you would expect--it wasn't crusty or dippable at all. It ended up soft, almost soggy, and the cheese was baked onto the bread rather than being a dip. The whole appeal of the dish was supposed to be the warm bread with the roasted cheese to dip into, and that part was completely missing. Included with the bread was a hot honey that missed the mark on being "hot" and some kind of jam. These options just made everything even more soft....which should have been impossible. The salad was actually the best part of the meal - even though it was a bit spicy. I've always had good experiences here in the past, so this was a big letdown--especially for the price. I just wish the to-go version of the dish matched how it's described, or that expectations were set correctly when ordering. Unfortunately, this experience made me lose all trust in ordering from here again. I can't believe we waited until exactly 3pm (when they opened) to order this.... At the very least the pizza should have been hot.

The kind of spot where you expect a solid beer and maybe some decent bar food. What you don't expect? One of the best Detroit-style pizzas of your life hiding behind a window in the back like some carb-based speakeasy. And when I say hidden, I mean hidden. No flashy signage. No "best pizza in town" ego. Just a quiet little window cranking out square pies that deserve a standing ovation. I ordered the classic red top -- already a bold move -- and added pesto because balance matters and I like to live a little. The result? Beyond reproach. Fresh, loaded toppings. Sauce with depth. And that crust... that beautiful Detroit crust. Crispy edges with that caramelized cheese halo, but still chewy and pillowy inside. The textural contrast is what separates amateurs from legends -- and this? This was legend-level execution. Easily top 3 Detroit-style pizzas I've had. And that's not a casual statement. If you don't understand the life-altering power of true Detroit-style pizza, I regret to inform you... you have not been living. Go find the window in the back. Trust me.
