The Brine add bacon

We have been to this location quite a bit but finally getting around to reviewing. What drew me in this time was the pickle pizza. And I had to add bacon of course. It wasn't the best pickle pizza I've had in the city but very good! Probably number 2 haha. The sauce is super creamy with that garlicky flavor that goes well with the pickles and bacon. The slices are pretty loaded as well so I ate off this for a day or 2.

Boyfriend and I ordered an Uncle Junior meatball sub. It was such a wet sub, you need knife and fork since you could not pick it up. The sauce was not very flavorful and the meatball did not look appetizing. (See photo) I took two bites and gave up on it. I don't think we will try them again.

Nicky Santoro

Visited for the first time and ordered the Nicky Santoro - 3 handmade beef meatballs, hot giardiniera, provolone and mozzarella cheese, in an Italian torpedo roll. Meatball was a good, solid meatball. Bread was soft and tasty. Sauce was REALLY good. Giardiniera was very spicy but in a good way. Overall, a great meatball sub! Gonna try the pizza next time!

Standup Guy

My first trip to Center Street Market was for the reviews of Meatball Mafia. Service was fast and friendly. I had the StandUp Guy because I thought it wouldn't be very heavy. It was incredible. And thick. I couldn't finish the 12" pie. The drink options are fairly limited to canned drinks and bottled water. Keep in mind that indoor seating is limited and parking may be limited depending on when you are there.

These are some tasty meatballs! Dude who took the orders was not the friendliest, but just keep those meatballs coming and I don't care. We got the large meatball bowl which comes with marinara, mozzarella and ricotta. The ricotta was cold and did not go with the rest of the flavors. Next time I would ask them to leave that off. Tip for "meatball subs at home" night - they sell one dozen meatballs for $20.

First time eating here and I will definitely be back for more. We ended up getting a double pepperoni and cheese pizza. They only have one size and it's a 12". I loved the pizza and the taste of it. However, I felt the crust was slightly burnt. Could have been accidently burnt on the edge, but it was still edible. Easily 4.25 out of 5 for taste. A must try if you haven't yet.

The Giuseppe - meatball, onion, and green pepper drizzled with ricotta. You gotta try this!

I am very excited to have Meatball Mafia down the street! Their food is always high quality and they have great service. At Center Street Market, they have a text system to alert you when food is ready so you do not have to wait inside, you know, COVID. They have a specialty pizza that tastes like lasagna, in the very best way. The Giuseppe has onions, green peppers, meatballs, and ricotta on top. The meatballs are broken up so the toppings are evenly distributed and generous. This is pan pizza with a substantial crust, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Try their pizza, you won't regret it!

Nice Youngstown, OH vibe located in the Old Hilliard Crooked Can complex. The pizza is very good! We had the Sloppy Giuseppe, & it was worth it. All pizzas are 12", pan style & pie cut. The flavor & the crust was excellent. Definitely worth a visit for that. On the other hand, they DO sell bowls of pasta, too, which are a bit expensive. We had 2) different bowls of pasta and/or meatballs that were roughly 8 & 10oz.'s & it was $25. Really. The pizza was less than that, & way better tasting. More to eat, too. If you visit them sometime, try the pizza. You won't be disappointed. As for the other items on the small menu, you may want to skip them as the prices are pretty steep for what you get. They're good, not great, but nice for something new.

The selection of specialty pizzas with dog pun names was amusing. We got the Three Little Pugs pizza, which had bacon, ham and sausage, along with artful dollops of ricotta cheese to cool down the spice from the hot garlic chili crunch oil. The garlic knots were big, fluffy and super garlicky and better even than the hype. We got some of their Tyrannodog Sauce (A house-made, dragon's breath chili pepper spicy ranch dressing) and dipped the knots into it. It was so good, we left with a bottle of it. It's spicy and garlicky in all the best ways. Staff was friendly and helpful. Be aware, there is ONE TABLE inside and a few outside the shop. It's mostly a to-go spot, but it's totally worth it. Absolutely amazing.

The Garlic knots were just okay for being awarded one of the best in a competition last year. I ordered a side of their "garlic butter" however its a very artificial butter substitute of some sort which went straight into the Bin. The Stromboli with Pepperoni and Mushroom was the best of the lot. My second visit here, the first time we waited in the tiny dining space for a long time because the staff forgot we were waiting for our order. I won't be sadly disappointed a third time & will take my money elsewhere.

Stopped here to get bubble tea felt like I really needed to eat something so I decided to veer away…read morefrom getting bubble tea and chose pizza Maybe not the smartest thing to do at 3 o'clock because pizza was probably out there since 12. I chose the bridge park special, which was a pizza with an olive oil base mozzarella cheese with a basil pesto over it. Grilled chicken and grilled onions. The chicken taste like rubber. I did not eat it after the first piece didn't trust it. It's very hard and chewy. The rest of the pizza had a good flavor. It was served a little too hot, but considering it was 3 o'clock, I was glad it was heated thoroughly. There was a lot of olive oil on it. It was a very greasy piece of pizza you needed an extra napkin. Service was excellent. The man that took my order was pleasant and he even brought my pizza to where I was sitting that was appreciated and a surprise. As far as ambience, there's like patio twinkle lights on the top. It's a big food hall so the seating is shared among all the vendors again I was there at 3 o'clock. There was maybe two other patrons it's not a very popular time. Would it come back? Sure I would just come back closer to 12 when the pizza was guaranteed fresh I feel this might've been sitting for a while. This would've been a four or 4 1/2 star piece of pizza had the chicken, thin tender Instead, I had to go with a three cause it was neither wonderful nor was it awful. It was just good. Again, I would come back... And will. And when I do, I hope I can give it a higher score.

UPDATE: After since I ate (only some) of this, my stomach has been upset for 2 days. I regret…read moreeating any of this weird food. Not food poisoning, just stomach upset. I want to start by saying, normally this is a pretty good spot. Lately, man idk what is going on. I got the strangest margherita pizza I have ever had, and a cheese and pepperoni that was also kind of weird. There is almost no cheese whatsoever on the margherita, and it was dehydrated too, which was also unusual. The cheese and pepperoni one was fine I guess, but there was a solid layer of pepperoni beneath the cheese, which made the texture benefit super wet. Again, all just kind of off. Service is good; not a freestanding location and it's inside the Bridgepark north market. I can't say if I would come back or not? Perhaps if I saw a tastier looking item walk by that was ordered from here. Posting a photo of one of the slices.
