Bobbers is great. They have great customer Service, amazing food, and it may take a bit but only on their busiest. My only real complaint is their prices but the food is worth it. And their food are really big so you may not eat your whole meal but I still love this place and recommend going there a lot. Just order light.

Pile of breakfast under gravy. A friend ordered this chaos and loved it. I tasted the gravy and it slapped pretty hard.

This is a unique establishment that shouldn't be overlooked. Tucked in off of the road next to what I think is Shadyside Lake, Bobber's Cafe is famous for their B's and G's as well as their hand-breaded to order tenderloin sandwiches. My stop was at breakfast and I ordered my usual mushroom omelette. It was a delicious three egg omelette prepared with my cheese selection - American. Don't you judge me! It came with a huge homemade biscuit. I added a single pancake because the menu said that it was the largest, fluffiest pancake that I had ever seen. They weren't kidding. I'm not sure how you can even get a pancake this thick and it still be so light and fluffy on the inside. It was heaven. Served with warm syrup. It was as big as my head. ... and I have a big, German head.

Tenderloin sandwich is awesome. So I love fried catfish and breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches, image my surprise when I ate this giant of a sandwich. Let's start off with the bun; super fresh and tasty, the mustard, lettuce, tomato, and pickles fit nicely within the confines of the interior of the bun. The tenderloin, however, does not even come close to fitting inside the bun. The tenderloin was breaded with what I think is a catfish/fish cornmeal based breading and deep fried. The size of this tenderloin was actually 2 times the size of the bun. The sandwich came out piping hot and one of the most favorable tenderloins I have had in a while. Great job to Bobbers for keeping great food in their local community.

What a find! We had sampled their tenderloins a couple years ago at the Tenderloin Throwdown in Greensburg (a must see for any tenderloin lovers out there) and decided to check out the restaurant in person. It did not disappoint! Very friendly and attentive staff. It is housed in a former bait shot that looks out over the lake. You can even pick up some bait while you are there! Very clean too. On to the food - delicious!! My husband had the tenderloin and fries and I had the breakfast bowl. Both were generous portions and delicious!

Looking for a nice view and home cooked feeling for food. This is a great place. We sat outside and enjoyed a nice lunch. The service is kind and you feel at home. It's a little off the beaten path but worth a stop. Had the loaded biscuits and gravy. Wife had a nice BLT. It was great.

    Wonderful breaded Tenderloin!

Their food is good, especially gravy & biscuits. Love to sit & relax outdoors beside the lake.

She doesn't put the order in for food and then when you're sitting there waiting for hours for your food and then you go talk to her about it she treats you like you're the one who did something wrong. and the damn Jukebox don't bother wasting your money on it, in the middle of your song she'll turn it down to where you can't hear it so she can have a personal conversation with patrons that are sitting at the bar. I understand if some patrons being rowdy or disrespectful I can understand being rude to them but being rude to somebody who's just trying to ask a f****** question is a little too much. Honestly I'm never going back there because this is not my first encounter and plenty of their people have told me they experience this with her as well.

The facility is not overly attractive or inviting. You have to decide which door to use depending on which business you are frequenting. I didn't see any signs for the outdoor seating to direct you to the hostess. The parking lot is large with lots of spaces up close. We were here for food so we picked the door to Grains & Grill. The host was very friendly and kind. The inside looked welcoming. The journey to get to the outdoor seating was a bit of a maze. There seems to be plenty of comfortable indoor seating though it is kind of broken up in disjointed rooms. The outside area was nice. The over hang shielded us from the sun in our evening dinning hours. I found the tables to be a bit close together. There was another party next to our table so we had to be cautious about moving chairs to get situated. The outdoor chairs have a flexible plastic seat. The seat seemed to give more than made me comfortable. The chair seemed a bit flimsy. However, it was comfortable and didn't collapse on me. We started with the fried mushrooms. There were a LOT of small mushroom tips in this order. The batter was thicker and a bit mushy. There wasn't much seasoning flavor to the batter but it wasn't greasy to taste. The mushrooms seemed fresh. The dish was fairly good. The cocktail sauce had a decent amount of zip to it. My wife had the blackened fish tacos. Two came with the order. She loved the fresh taste. Definitely not a fishy taste. Delicious she said! I decided to try the Hoosier Hot Plate. It seemed like a house speciality...so why not! The tenderloin was outstanding! The pork was moist and juicy and moderately thin. The breading was nicely crunchy and moderately thick with a slight greasy taste. Maybe the best tenderloin I have ever had! The tenderloin was laid on top of a bed a real mashed potatoes. You could tell they were real by the lumps I bone smooth consistency. These were excellent as well. Just like mashed potatoes should be that were going to accent the meat. The tenderloin was topped with a creamed corn. I would have been disappointed if this creamed corn was the side dish. It was kind of bland and didn't have much of a corn taste. It was also rather mushy. I didn't think the corn added much taste to the tenderloin/mashed potato taste. Overall...it was an interesting dish that was worth a try.

Our drink order was taken, which was almost all water. Drinks came several minutes later. Orders were taken a few minutes after that. Food did take a bit but not unreasonable. At that time a few people needed more water. It took over 10 minutes before a pitcher of water was delivered to the table by someone other than our server. Bread was requested to the person bringing the water since we hadn't seen our server in nearly 15 minutes. Another 10 minutes and our server comes to check on us. She stated she didn't know about the lack of bread and blamed it on the other employee not telling her. At least another 10 minutes go by and nearly everyone is finished eating when the bread arrives. The food was good and the amount of food was good. All but me had eaten there before. 3 got the Hoosier plate, a couple had the tenderloin, a couple got burgers, and I got the Makers beef tips. All enjoyed their food and only a couple had any left to take home. The mashed potatoes were very good and a large portion. There were several ounces of meat and a good portion of green beans. The food was definitely a 4+. The service was a 2 at best. Along with the poor service, they added the optional 20% gratuity, since we had a party of 8. I knew this was possible since I read it on the menu. Most of the party did not. It was noted on the ticket but it was put very close to the other charges. For some, it was not noticeable. I understand the reasoning behind the charge but if the business isn't crowded and the servers aren't working excessively, I don't believe it's justified. In this instance, it may have led to poorer service since the server knew she'd be getting 20% no matter what.

My friend decided on their biscuits and gravy whereas I got pancakes with over-hard eggs and sausage. The woman there is very nice and makes you feel very welcomed. Food was good, pancakes just soaked up the syrup, and the sausage had a good snap to them. Eggs were cooked just right, and it all came out fairly quick. My friend had also gotten a coffee, and when we were done she had asked if he wanted any to-go, which he obliged to, and she put some in a cup for him to take with along with creamer, which I thought was super awesome. You don't see that much anymore where the service is just so polite and thoughtful. As we were about to leave, under the register is where all their pies sit, and I noticed a good looking peanut butter one, so we got two slices to-go as well. She really sold me by mentioning how they also do a banana pie, and to check up on their Facebook for updates and such saying how she posts on there frequently for the diner. I know I definitely will be getting more pie from there next time I'm in the area! The peanut butter pie was more of a whipped filling, so not too overwhelmingly decedent or heavy. The crust was also like a chocolate graham crust, and it really paired well to offset the peanut butter. If you're looking for a cute place to stop by and try, I highly recommend this one. Especially if you like pie!
