There hasn't been any good places in orange but she ended up yelping boba and found this place and i have never been so happy First we were greeted by the friendliest owners ever. They were super nice and very informative about there tea. I love that there isnt a million flavors. And they focus to make good tea. I love milk tea and i always judge a place based off their milk tea. When i wanted to order they had one called royal ceylon tea. I was a little skeptical but they actually had some loose tea leaves available for you too smell and i was hooked. First the tea is made with loose tea leaves which makes it the best. You can get it with or without milk and you could customize the sugar and ice quantity which is awesome. Because the tea is made with loose tea leaves it comes off as this light and refreshing tea instead a overly sweetened sugar crap. The boba is this yellow honey like color. It also is very light and refreshing. I am very happy overall. I have also tried their jasmine green tea and i am also very happy. I have been back 3 times already and i have brought other friends here as well and they have also been happy with their tea and i plan to keep coming back. read more

BobaTEAque doesn't stand out much in the plaza, it'd be pretty easy to drive/walk past it without noticing. The parking lot felt tight, but you'll be able to find parking easily. I normally don't give out 5 stars to boba places because they all feel the same to me. I work in a boba store & I can differentiate which shops use syrups/powders or freshly brew their flavored teas. I can also tell which stores fake their generosity for the sake of good customer service or genuinely care about the customer's satisfaction. BobaTEAque deserves their 5 stars rating. The cashier was very kind, he first began with letting me ask questions and giving recommendations. I first asked about how sweet their normal sweetness was, and he said their stores don't make their drinks as sweet as other stores, which is totally fine for me, still I played it safe and ordered less sugar for my Peach Green Tea. The guy who took my order on the register made my drink and went around the counter to deliver the drink to my table. Not a lot of boba places do that & I only know of one other store that does, which is Home Brewed Bar (Their motto is supposed to make you feel at home.) I really like the idea of boba being delivered to tables rather than customers picking it up at the counter, to me it feels like a kind gesture and I feel valued as a customer. I'm still confused as to why the peach green tea is cloudy, but I figured the cloudy texture might come from freshly boiling peaches, who knows. Upon sipping it, it took me by surprise. It tasted exactly like the Starbucks peach green tea. The combination with their boba...it was astonishing. This is the first boba place where I've tasted kettle corn flavored boba?!? I don't think they purposely make it that flavor, but that's how the boba tasted to me. I love how the drink isn't overly sweetened & how the boba tastes so unique. Torn between giving bobaTEAque a 4 and a 3-star review bc of customer service. We stopped by there a few minutes after 11:30 (when they open) on a Saturday after having brunch down the street. It got great reviews, so we had some high expectations for their boba. What I wasn't expecting was the completely apathetic and unfriendly service from the female cashier. It was our first time there and since they had a pretty good-looking variety of drinks with about six levels of sugar sweetness, she had some questions about some of them. The cashier did not smile once, or even attempt to be friendly, and seemed bothered by all the questions. They had just opened and we were the only ones in the store, so it's not like there was a long line behind us. We spent about $30 (drinks were about $5 each) in drinks there, so I would say we were pretty decent customers. There is plenty of seating in there with one big family table, and a few other decently sized tables and it's really clean. The drinks were really good (I got the peach passion black tea) and the boba was warm and chewy. The cups are cute and you can totally reuse them if you want as the plastic is pretty sturdy. As we were sitting there, there was another staff member (male) who came out from the back. He brought us our drinks and was friendly. I typically get 50% sweetness at other shops and 75% from BobaTeaque is perfect for me. However, if it isn't sweet enough, you can even ask to add extra sweetness if you'd like. Their boba is not your typical honey boba but I like theirs bc it has a more mild taste so I can enjoy the flavor of the tea. My favorite boba spot in the Orange area! It was disappointing to have tried a handful of boba joints near my home and be underwhelmed by the quality of the drinks. This cute, bear themed boba shop is conveniently located next to the famous Ohshima omakase restaurant and be easily skipped over if you are not paying too close attention. A big bonus that the lot is huge and never short on parking. As for my preferred drink, I'm no different than your basic boba BAE and have fallen for this year's cheese foam craze. I want my green tea with a nice, whopping scoop of salty and creamy cheese foam! I often get turned off from a tea house when they use cheap ingredients. With Bobateaque, I can taste the highly quality tea being used in all of their drinks. Overall, I'm happy to have found my go to tea joint and want to explore other drinks flavors, but we will see if I ever decide to deviate from my normal order :P! read more

BobaTEAque uses high quality tea in their boba; they used to have the tea leaves out in the counter, but not anymore. Their boba is more 'Taiwanese' than 'American' in that it's got more tea flavor and is less sweet. The folks that work there work hard and the owner and his wife are usually the ones manning the fort. +1 for locally-owned businesses! I tend to like milk teas over fruit teas. A lot of new boba shows popping up in Orange but what sets this place apart is the HEART from the owners. They are always so friendly and personable. I don't like my milk teas super sweet but I feel like their standard sweetness level is perfect here. Their boba is always on point and cooked to perfection. My favorite is the regular Jasmine MT and the fresh milk Jasmine tea latte. Our friends introduce us to this place few months ago and we thought the place was decent. We got cheesefoam ceylon milk tea. Today we were in the area and brought our family with us and I was excited for them to try this place as my sister in law is a big boba/milk tea fan (she drinks almost two cups everyday). We ordered cheese foam Ceylon black tea thinking its going to be the same as last time because it was under the cheesefoam selection, but it wasnt with the milk. The ease of being able to order through an iPad, it's super simple. I always get nervous that my Boba drinks would be too sweet so I actually went with 75%. I should've stuck to 100% sweetness because I could use a little bit of sugar that day. I loved that their drinks aren't overly sweet, and tea flavor is definitely there.
