Hey Bobaloca! Why is your employee working in the heat, with no AC running?! Cheap. Go figure since the powder used for your drinks is so low grade! Why is Midori melon slush NEON GREEN?! I feel like I should stop by a power plant to let them know some chemicals ended up at your store! Tastes horrible. So artificial! For over $6 I expect higher quality. New management needs new management. I wish I could give 0 stars! No lie. Your employee was great and super friendly. It's MANAGEMENT THAT NEEDS A REALITY CHECK OK!? I'd say close up shop but that kid needs a job. Don't apologize. Do better. Come on, boba drinks aren't that hard. Put in the effort or sell it to someone that cares.

The inside is cute and has a nice ambiance. Has good service fast and efficient. I got the Jasmine Green Tea Iced which was good and refreshing but I wish they had cheese foam on the menu. I also got the Caramelized Brown Sugar Milk Tea Caramelized Brown Sugar Milk Tea with boba this was okay the flavor was there at first but quickly just became one flavor only and the boba was definitely not fresh.

Gave it to me with no ice. Who wants hot milk tea?? Tasted terrible.

This place was terrible 10 years ago and it's still terrible today. I went to the high school down the street and my friends and I used to come here after school until I discovered the amazing boba shops in downtown. I avoided this place because I knew it was terrible but I saw the "New Management" sign so I thought after 10 years some things had to have changed. NOPE. The quality of drinks here are still horrible. I ordered a Taro Milk Tea no boba, I noticed they still use the same powder to make it so I instantly didn't have high hopes but some how this tasted worse than it did a decade ago. It literally tasted like just taro powder and milk, no sweetener. I went back inside to ask the girls working there if the drink was supposed to be sweetened. She said yes and I explained to her mine does not taste sweet at all and I would appreciate it if they could remake it. The second one did taste a tiny bit sweet but this time they gave me a drink with no ice. I NEVER ASKED FOR NO ICE. It was 100° outside and all I wanted was a refreshing taro milk tea but instead I got some lukewarm watered down crap. I couldn't even finish the drink after two sips, I just poured it down the drain and cut my losses. There is no reason to even put up a "new management" sign if the quality is still going to be 0 stars. On top of which they don't offer any other toppings other than boba. Every other boba shop I've been to has a variety of boba, jellies, and pudding. Avoid this place at all costs. You'll just be disappointed. Every boba place in downtown Riverside is 100 times better than this place and well worth the drive.

Bobaloca continues to be an amazing local boba shop. I'd even go as far to say that it's now even better under new ownership. They have done a great job remodeling the interior and treating their customers with attentiveness and kindness. Their drinks are very affordable too! I've always loved boba loca. Since the new management I've been coming more and my drinks seem to taste better everytime. I feel especially lucky when the owners (husband and wife) are working and take my order because they always seem to make them perfectly sweet, perfect consistency, and just the right amount of boba and not the syrup that comes with it. They are as sweet as can be and definitely make me want to keep coming back to support the business.

Very very very good boba!! We drive almost 20 miles to get here!! The Taro was very tasty and our favorite is the Honedew Milk Slush!! Make sure to ask for extra boba because theirs is super yummy and always seems to be just right, not too soft not too hard!! If you are in the area and want boba this is your stop! read more

Exceeded my initial expectations in terms of taste and quality. Prior to finding this hidden gem, I traversed the land sampling boba from different establishments -- suffice to say they had left me quite dissatisfied. Bobaloca however, was the paragon of excellence I had been searching for all of these months. Even on days when my wallet resembles a measly single piece of folded printer paper I'd spend my last few dollars on gas money to acquire a refreshment from this place. They also placed a cherry on my proverbial sundae by having dairy free options on their menu; considering I turn into the atmosphere of Jupiter (being rather gaseous) upon ingesting lactose, I find this exceptional. read more

This is the only place where I get my milk tea, service is very quick and the cashier is always friendly. It takes less than five minutes for me to get my order which is great. Highly recommend trying the honeydew milk tea. read more

Best place ever! I love getting the Oreo cookies and cream milkshake with boba! So good :) always come here because service is always fast and the location is perfect for quick boba runs. I really love the boba here very consistent. They have great customer service. My favorite is the Almond Milk with boba, and Thai tea. The atmosphere is clean and fresh. They make waffles now. Large group of people enjoying them while I was there they looked amazing smelt amazing. read more

The most underrated boba place in riverside. If you never know what to get, go with a strawberry slush. But if you're trying something new, taro tea is your best bet. Straight up tastes like cookies! Great staff working there, this place needs more attention riverside! read more

Idk this place is whatevs to me. I spent the past 4 years in irvine being spoiled with boba places everywhere and when I moved back home I was super happy cuz this place is like a block away. But when I got the mango green tea, the syrup was frozen was on the bottom -_- I've been here a couple times afterward cuz it was so hot but the expensive prices and not that great tasting drinks are making me wean off my boba drink addiction :( read more

boba loca probably ranks second in my fav. places to go for boba (lollicup being #1). the thai milk tea is delicious and the boba is a good chewy consistency. they also have frozen yogurt which is bound to be bomb since bobaloca owns yogurtland and froyo from there is EXCELLENT. :) go here. now. read more

The boba was okay. The honeydew milk tea was already made and taken out of the fridge. The peach mango smoothie didn't taste real.. It was almost like artificial. The boba, is not as great as other ones out there... Plus the service wasnt good at all. I was disappointed. The guy that stood at the cashier (an older asian man) didn't have proper customer service. He didn't greet or give any recommendations or say Thank you. Never intending on going here again. read more

The nachos were a mess, the chips were overly salty on the verge of inedible, they messed up our milkshake orders and switched the whipped cream around and the banana milkshake was not banana-ing for me. All in all, a terrible first mobile order experience and would definitely avoid this location from now on.

So we moved into the neighborhood a year ago. My wife and I moved here after graduating from UCI, so it's safe to say, we have tried our fair share of boba. We were so happy to see that we had a boba place right down the street. Our first experience with the store was good, for the most part. The employees were polite and responsive and the tea came out quickly. I was surprised and a little disappointed that my bill was $14 for 2 large teas, but I could get over that. They are the only boba place around....I would charge more too. The tea was good, nothing special like fresh fruit or anything, just good. My most recent experience is why I won't be returning. I ordered my wife and I's normal order ($14) and this time I asked for a side of boba (my two year old was with me and it's her favorite thing in the world). As boba is free and neither my wife and I include boba in our drinks, I expected to be able to get a some on the side. The owner replied that they do not give sides of boba. Ok no problem, I will go ahead and pay for the boba, what's another 50 cents on $14 after all? She replied that they do not sell boba. Wait, and boba tea shop doesn't sell boba? That's when I asked her to cancel my order and I won't be returning. Maybe I am overreacting in protection of my child. I just feel like this should be an option. I just moved out to the Riverside area from Fullerton, and I have to say that the Bobaloca out here is pretty much on par, and at times, even better than all the other hot boba spots in the OC. I expected low-quality boba and low-quality drinks, but my assumptions were definitely proven wrong. I love that I can ask for however much boba I want, and they don't charge me anything for it. Also, the Thai Milk Tea and Tapioca Milk Tea are absolutely phenomenal. Apparently, all of their teas are freshly brewed using legit tea leaves that are imported from abroad (according to the friendly owner who took my order). I also highly recommend their waffles. The employees working the night shift told me that it's a new menu that they just released, and the responses to it have been excellent. The waffles are cooked fresh and to perfection, and surprisingly, don't leave you feeling heavy and guilty after having eaten one. To everyone talking about why the owners are so cheap, I used to work at one of their other locations and the store was very slow and not making a lot of money so they wouldn't allow us to turn on the AC, they also would tell us to close down the store very early because it was slow, they also are very unorganized and there were countless of times where we would be out of milk or supplies were bad and they didn't bring new ones until a week or two weeks later. The owners blame the workers for the place being slow and not making money. They also give the workers bad checks. Just a horrible experience working for them. read more

I've tried several different boba drinks in riverside and this by far is the best. I'm a huge fan of their Taro Slush and this is the only place that makes this drink right! A problem I have with a lot of boba is that the tapioca balls will taste strange and almost medicine like, this place has the best boba I've ever tasted! I'm sure that I've come to this place over 40 times in the past 6 months and I've yet to regret purchasing a single drink! This is the place to go for all your boba cravings! read more

This place is always SO busy! And it's easy to know why, they have amazing drinks and the fresh smoothies to die for. I am not a fan of boba or mochi, but I've heard that is really good. All their drinks can be made with boba or without. I am a huge fan of the Strawberry-Banana Loca, and Peach-Mango Tango. (SO AWESOME!!!) ALL THEY GOT IS "FRESH! FRESH! FRESH!!! Rain or shine, their drinks are totally worth it. I wish they open 24/7... I highly recommend to try this place. TOTALLY WORTH IT! read more

Came here because of all the reviews. Got a tapicoa milk tea as a tester because in my mind if you open a boba store and you suck at making milk tea everything else would suck. Got mine and the taste was ok just a tad bit too sweet in my opinion. The boba was meh the cheweness of it was a bit hard and didnt have much flavor to it. Overall it's decent boba for a decent price. Nothing to write home about. read more

I am addicted to boba loca here. specially after lunch, when my eyelids are getting heavier and heavier... I already found myself ordering the peach mango blast! so..... good! super cold, wakes me up! People here are so........... friendly always! OMG! you should try, if you haven't yet. read more

Choclate Indulgence is probably the best drink I've ever had in my life. The guys working were really nice. I forgot my wallet there and they even stayed 10 minutes after closing time to give me my wallet back. Thanks guys! read more

They could expand the menu a bit. But the taro root slush boba is the best. Didn't even know what a taro root was when I first tried the drink, but im sure glad I found out!!!! Milk teas are yummy too. read more
