There were a few drinks that stood out but I came in with one drink in mind & stuck with it. I got the Vietnamese iced coffee and my friend got the Vietnamese iced coffee with taro cold foam. We definitely walked in with a drink in mind & both left happy! Both drinks were made pretty fast & the workers were really friendly. I'll definitely be back again to try the other drinks on the menu. Maybe even the seasonal drinks!

We stumbled across TruLē and decided to check it out since we both love Boba/tea. The inside was small, but super cute. They have two self ordering kiosks when you walk in & you can also order at the counter. It was very clean and bright inside as well. I asked for a custom version of one of their existing teas and they were gladly able to make it for me! I asked for a mango peach green tea. My mom got a mango strawberry smoothie and we were both super satisfied with your drinks. Their green tea brew is some of the best I've had, it was light but had a great floral taste to it as well. The next time I'm in Lombard I'm sure stopping at TruLē will be one of the stops from now on.

When we came in late around 9PM on a Saturday night, there wasn't much of a wait or big crowd which is nice. The menus are displayed on TV screens, which keeps things modern and easy to read.Their drinks come in medium or large sizes and are reasonably priced in the mid $5-6 range which is more competitive than other places. Since I'm not much of a tea drinker due to the caffeine, I opted for a coconut taro milk-based drink with rainbow jelly and regular sugar. It came out delicious, with a good ice-to-drink ratio. The jelly had a nice firm texture and was flavorful. I was also informed the milk was dairy-free and that was a plus for most Asians who are lactose intolerant (I love that forward thinking!) My husband ordered the black milk tea and approved -- and he's pretty picky when it comes to milk tea, so that's saying something. He liked he can smell the tea leaves flavor. Some small tweaks he would do is for them to give a bit less ice and slightly more milk so it's a tad creamier. Overall, the vibe here is fun and welcoming. They had some empty / unused space near the checkout counter that could probably accommodate more seatings if they run crowded. We spent just under $13 for two drinks, which feels like we had a good value-buy. I'm honestly surprised this place doesn't have stronger reviews yet, because our experience was positive. My only feedback is for them to have a few more non-caffeinated options. We'll definitely be back when we come to this area and the milk tea cravings hit!

When you look at the menu, you'll find that several things are usually out of stock and instead of removing them from the menu they've chosen to place a piece of tape on the screens. And on top of everything the staff is very unwelcoming and frustrated when asked about the items on the menu and the the things they actually do offer.

The order area is nice and the electric menu boards are easy to read. We ordered the 10 piece bone-in chicken wings, in buffalo sauce. We were hoping that they had blue cheese as a dipping sauce but they don't. So we picked the ranch dipping sauce and it was just OK. When I first saw the chicken wings I thought they were gonna be crispy, but they're actually not. They are very moist and cooked to perfection. We ordered cheese sticks and they were eight in the order and they were delicious. Nice and crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. We also ordered two of the bubble tea. I got the Taro milk tea and my husband got the banana milk tea. They both had the tapioca in them and were so delicious! Best I have had! Really cold and yummy! If you're in the area, you should definitely give this restaurant a try. Next time we are going to try the Zinger Burger!

Seemed like a piece of plastic or gristle or something inedible. The fries were completely soggy. Just horrible. Threw both food items in the garbage. While waiting for my pickup order, I noticed many tables were covered with a plastic coating that had cracked or peeled partially off. I hope they take better care of their food preparation than the tables. And this has not changed since I first started coming to the restaurant about 2 months ago. Finally, as I was leaving the restaurant, The bar across the door had some very sticky junk on it that I had to scrub off when I got home. Never going back to this lousy restaurant!!!

I requested our group to be placed in a corner since we were dining in with 2 kids and an infant who would be sitting in a stroller. She had said they were fully booked and a different party needed the table I was eyeing since they would be coming in with 3 strollers. I was there from 9am-11am on a Friday and it was not packed nor did a family use the table I wanted while I was there. No one came in with 3 strollers either. Aside from that, I was trying to be helpful so the stroller wouldn't get in the way of customers and wait staff. The host basically made it harder for them, not me. I started with the hazelnut oat mocha and this was delicious. This was the highlight of my time there. For food I tried the Shakshouka and it was not good. The pouched eggs were not cooked. From my pictures - it looks like the eggs were cracked in the dish and the chef called it a day. I didn't chance eating it, I ate the pita it came with and left very hungry. I'm giving Beatrix a generous 2 due to the space being beautiful and my latte being great. Unfortunately this is not a spot I'll be returning to.
