I have trusted BTA with my personal vehicles since 2013, and my company vehicles since 2015. Brian and the team take care of our needs and don't push us into something we don't need, keeping our vehicles rolling at a fair price. read more

I received above average service from this business. I am only in town for another week when my light went off on my dashboard to alert me to some sort of error code in the engine. These folks were able to fix my car so I can go home in a few days as I was scheduled to do. Therefore, I am in there gratitude for doing me a solid by taking me likely out of order so I could get home. The cost of the service was considerably more than I was expecting. This is why I'm not going to post a full review. I'm going to find the Reddit thread and figure out whether the charge was outrageous or within the realm of reasonable given the location and part costs. read more

Amazing, they got me in on Christmas eve short notice - while they were already busy - diagnosed and repaired my faulty sparkplug wiring within 3 hours, and got me off on my holiday travels at a fair price. Big thumbs up! read more

Speedy service, very nice, and good prices. Diagnosed and fixed within a couple hours. Kept in touch through process. Thank you read more

My transmission started failing while on a road trip. John was incredibly helpful in presenting my options. Great communication and work was quoted at a fair price. Thank you! read more

These guys... these guys!!! So helpful!!! I was unable to render any assistance while my 1996 Suburban had a dead battery that left my wife and two infant children stranded. Turns out it was the alternator. They helped my wife and kids get this taken care of, and late on a Friday! They helped in ways I had never thought could happen. Way more than just an accurate and excellent automotive shop, they also excel in customer service and caring for people. THANK YOU!!! Highly recommend read more

AMENDING MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: We took our vehicle back to Bob Thomas and talked to the really nice manager Loren. He took care of the problems we had including the non adjusted, and dry, rear brakes. The charge for the work on the brakes was a wash for the previous double charge on the alignment. VERY PLEASED THAT THEY TOOK CARE OF THE ISSUES.. But still have to question where the mechanic's heads were when we took the vehicle in the first 2 times. Missing a leaking oil filter and missing fixing the rear brakes? And we still had to go in 3 times to take care of what should have been fixed first time. I guess everyone can have bad days. ......."we are new to Medford and Bob Thomas was recommended to us for our vehicle maintenance. We took our vehicle in there, asked them to go through everything and had $1200 worth of work done. However we noticed a big oil spot in our driveway as well as the wheel alignment still pulled. So back we went. When we went to pick the vehicle up, we were told there was no oil leak, it was condensation from the air conditioner. My husband said can you put the truck up on the rack please. They did and there was oil running down the side of the filter (bad seal). And we were charged for another wheel alignment. When we complained we were told we will give you a credit next time you come in". read more

Auto Repair is not an exact science. Sometimes trial and error is the only way to find the solution to your automotive repair. Despite an initial miss diagnosis Bob Thomas and his team were professional, courteous, and took responsibility for the problem. It's refreshing to see an auto repair shop thats focused on doing things right and building relationships when so many other shops are more interested in shotty repairs, inflated bills, and filling their pockets. Thanks Bob Thomas Automotive! David Chick Shady Cove Or. read more

Bob Thomas Automotive - 2001 Prelude - Auto Repair Near Me - Medford, Oregon

Traveling through California and Oregon, on the way to Washington state, the battery light on our truck came on. Check everything out and it was determined that we needed a new alternator. Called the dealership and a couple of other places (who couldn't work is in) and was recommended we call Bob Thomas Automotive. Loren and Brian (the owner) got us in, even they were swamped. Their service was outstanding and the premises was spotless. We want to thank Bob Thomas Automotive for their help in getting us back on the highway! The Whites Yuma, AZ read more

Went in had oil changed and they were very fast and prompt, very friendly and affordable... I will go back.. thank you Bob Thomas..

I been going to Bob's for 6 years when a friend of mine referred me. I must totally disagree with the other two reviewers all I have had is top notch service. I get lifetime free oil changes at Lithia ... However, Lithia will tell me I need more work done and charge an arm and a leg. I proceed to take my car to Bob's get a second opinion and more than 3 times I didn't need what Lithia suggested or if I did it wasn't at the ridiculous price Lithia quoted me. The guys are personable and helpful and don't make u feel stupid even though I know a lot about cars. I have recommend and will continue to friends. read more

I'll give them props for my visit. I had a check engine light on. They cleared the code and told me to go buy a new gas cap. No charge and did it in 15min. They could have charged me and didnt. That made a very good impression. I'll take my cars there from now on. read more

My first, but certainly not my last, experience at Bob Thomas Automotive. It was for a leaking power steering hose. I have to say that the entire experience was great. From dropping off my car to picking it up, every detail was just the way it should be. read more

I have taken my cars to Bob Thomas several times, always had good service, this time was no exception BUT, the guy at the counter on Feb 18, 2020 slammed another repair shop while explaining what needed done to mans car. Come on guys, just let your work speak for itself and keep it professional. If you feel you have to degrade another shop in order to 'earn' business, you'll soon be out of it!! Not sure if I'll return. read more

So, I use my car for work and within a week from the last time my car went back to them (not my choice) there was something else that happened with the clutch and it makes it harder with taking off and getting into 1st and second gear. These people are so terrible and they just keep breaking things so they can get more money out of people. read more

My daughter's power steering belt was making noise. They checked it out, then told her that she needed a new timing belt, re-seal the head gasket, water pump, seals, belts, spark plugs, plug harness, coil boots, transmission fluid, etc, etc, etc. Total was $1590 Took it to my preferred mechanic. Turns out the power steering belt was being leaked on by... the power steering pump. This fairly obvious solution was not even included in the quote from Bob Thomas. $400 and fixed. vs $1590 and not fixed. Whether due to missed diagnosis or something more sinister, I can't give them a positive review. --later edit: Surprised to see that my review has been 'filtered'. I see that two negative reviews are both filtered, and we are left with two bright and cheerful positive reviews, both left just a few days after mine. I'd be happy to respond to any legitimate questions on my experience.... read more

Excellent service and they stand behind their work. I took my '99 Silverado in with a list of issues. They checked everything out, kept me informed and got everything done in a reasonable time. Best of all, my truck runs great now! Be sure to show your AAA card for a bit of a discount. read more

Needed my daughters Lexus repaired as she was a student up at the university and I couldn't do it myself... These people were very professional and courteous to her, they even provided a pick up and drop off while her car was being repaired. We had an intermittent issue that was hard to track down, they identified it first time they looked at the car and replaced the faulty part. We've yet to have an issue since. Price was reasonable and they were all very professional! read more

Awesome service! Great price. Called around for pricing and other places said my car needed something it didn't. Bob Thomas was very honest and didn't try over charging me. Thanks guys! read more

If only I lived in Oregon... This is an amazing group of mechanics. I was passing through Medford and noticed a headlight was out. Found Bob Thomas on yelp and they took me right in. Unfortunately the mechanic couldn't locate the type of bulb used in my car, but it wasn't for lack of trying. He tried several sources but it wasn't common. After we both realized it wasn't going to be replaced that day, he told me to have a safe trip home and wouldn't let me pay him for his time. I was very impressed with the customer service, friendliness and professionalism of everyone there and highly recommend this business! read more

Very good service first time there but very professional I will be going back to bob Thomas in the future.

Very disappointing when I called for a quote and the man helping me sounded like he has never been around a car before...if they don't have someone who can give a quote they should atleast call back with one from someone who knows what they are doing...VERY disappointed and will not be back!! read more

First time customer for the Express Oil Change only, however, will be back for other services when I'm in the area. I couldn't ask nfor more friendly and efficient service. Comfortable seating area while waiting for car to be serviced. For out-of-towners, like myself, take exit 30 from I-5, turn left and the location is less than 5 minutes away. Prices are very reasonable and discounts available for AAA, seniors, etc. For more than a oil change, call ahead for an appointment. Loren assisted me. read more

I will recommend Bob Thomas Auto motive to all of my friends and family. Their honesty and willing to work with the customer to explain thoroughly what needs to be done on your car. Everyone is totally professional polite and extremely caring. I will not take my car to any other Automotive station for repairs. If you want great work at a reasonable price you will not go anywhere else but Bob Thomas Auto motive. Thank you again for the awesome job you did on my car. I set up an appointment with Brian Thomas (service writer, and I'm assuming a relative of the owner) to look at and purchase a pop up trailer being sold there. We agreed on a price, I asked home when I could some see it, he said 6:00, and give me the address to bob Thomas automotive. I show up at 5:20 because we drove from out of the county, the office door is already locked. Says it closes at 5:30. So I sent Brian a message letting him know I was here early and what kind of car I was in. He messages me back about 20 mins laters saying "sorry I already sold it" are you kidding me!!! Why would you sell it when we agreed on a time to meet and a price? Why would you tell me to come at 6 then go sell it to someone else???? If you decided to sell it to someone else why would you not even at least let me know before I drive from over an hour away?!? Extremely rude and inconsiderate of other people's time and money. He is trying to say this has nothing to do with bob Thomas automotive, then why tell me to meet you there, have it stored there, etc. extremely annoyed, left work early to meet him at his convienence and he flakes on me. If he needed to sell it sooner I would have came earlier but he told me 6:00 read more

These guys are the best! Always helpful and straightforward, fair prices and great shuttle service. You can trust them with your automobile.
