Kelly's Automotive sets the bar for car service and repair. A family member living in Medford had a car that would not start. He was a bit panicked because he cannot afford to miss even a day of work, and to make matters more complicated it was two days before Thanksgiving. In the meanwhile, a local tow truck came and determined the battery was fine, so it was a mechanical issue. Next, he called me for immediate advice of an honest repair shop that provides quality work at a fair price. Heard a rattle under my hood. Brought it in to see if there was an issue. There was no issue but they charged us $150 to tell us nothing was wrong. So mad. I know inflation is crazy and there should be some cost for their time, but to pay $150 for literally no services done is outrageous. I wouldn't recommend to a friend. read more

Made appointment on line m, they called to confirm, dropped the car off, transported me back to my destination, fixed the headlights, called to let me know it was fixed, set a driver to pick me up, paid and was done. I would give them no stars or less than no stars if I could. I have never been more disappointed in an automotive repair shop in my life. Long story short, we had a car that was not keeping a charge and died while on the road. It had to be towed into a shop so we elected to go to Kelly's because it was close. Common sense would dictate that the problem was most likely a charging issue (battery, alternator or voltage regulator right?). Well, they replaced the battery, said the problem was fixed and sent us on or way. A few days later....same issue. It died on the road and had to be towed back in to the shop. Same symptoms. Well, after a few weeks they said they had the problem fixed and told us to come in and get the car. We arrived to pick up the car only to find that it wouldn't start. Surprise. I told the service writer as well as the mechanic that I thought it was the alternator. They assured me that the alternator was charging and tried to blame the issue on a dome light that was left on or a parasitic draw coming from the radio. So they disconnected the radio, put another battery in and told us to come down to get the car. That took six weeks. And I'm not exaggerating. I don't even want to tell you what they charged us but it wasn't cheap. And guess what, yep, it died again on road. So we had to have it towed. This time, we went to a different shop. Guess what, less that three hours after we dropped it off they called and said it was all done. They said the alternator wasn't charging and they replaced it. It's been several months now and we haven't had a problem. Bottom line-I question the abilities of the people that work at Kelly's. read more

The most unprofessional shady mechanics I have yet to come across. incredibly dishonest ! My main mechanic looked at my car and told me my radiator is cracked . I have a warranty on the car and he doesnt deal with warranties so I took my car to Kellys because I saw they had 4 stars. I told them exactly what the issue was asked if they worked with my warranty , they said yes. I said my mechanic took a look after I originally thought it was the coolant reservoir tank , he did the pressure test and looked at it thoroughly to find it was a cracked radiator. I told this to the man on the phone when making the appointment . For the warranty company they had to send their diagnostic to get the approval. They ended up sending 3 pages of recommendations , trying to do so much unnecessary work as well as doubling the cost on everything ! Oh and let's not forget how they gave me a ride to work and I needed a ride back .... They left me at work and never told me when they close or to find another ride ! So when I got off work I called them to only get their voicemail! So I was stranded at work and had to order an Uber. When I went the next morning to pick up my car they told me I would have to pay $900 out of pocket after warranty! I asked why and they said my warranty doesn't cover 100% . I called my warranty the next day to ask why they wouldn't cover the entire cost . They informed me they do indeed pay full cost and that the Kellys was trying to overcharge to a tremendous extent. From labor time to parts! Doubling the amount. I wish I was able to upload Photos because the way they gave me my car back was astrotious ! They left my glove compartment hanging with the cabin air filter out!!!! And left my air filter for my engine laying on top of my engine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it. I only found my air filter because I had a friend check to make sure they didn't mess anything up ! read more

During Covid restrictions, they offered to come to my house, pick up my car, and return it to me sanitized. Holy cow! What a convenience for me. My car was making a grating noise when I first applied my brakes leaving my driveway. They inspected the front and rear brakes, and told me my rotors and brake pads were still good even though I had given them prior authorization to do a brake job. When I asked how much for the home service and inspection, the answer was, "No charge." Their honesty and service makes me want to take all my vehicles there in the future. read more

A friend had a Car Towed in here, that Overheated, going over the Siskiyous on Interstate 5. I Paid a Down Payment Minimum, on a Credit Card, to have the Engine evaluated. They tore It Down, and determined It would cost more to repair the Car, than It was worth. So They refunded the balance, and my friend had the car towed to Her house to use as a Parts Car. Been using Kelly's for quite a few years now for our entire family. The staff is friendly and incredibly honest. They go over what they see is wrong and work with you on payments and service. We also have used them for checking out cars we were looking to buy and they have done a 100% on that as well. Car broke down, and I have to commend them for their friendliness and their professionalism. My review isn't higher because they wanted to write off my car as a lost cause. I had it towed to a different mechanic who got it running great within 24 hrs. That mechanic said they skipped a step & didn't try the timing belt which CAUSED no compression. Kelly's just tested the compression & said "Engine needs replaced". Because they rushed & didn't bother taking the time, I give them 2 stars. Other than that, their customer svc. is stellar, but I probably won't go to them again. read more

This auto repair shop is in my case not honest. They tell you all the reasons why a repair needs to be done yet when you agree and decide to follow there advice. The problem continues to exist and they just keep coming up with more problems needing to be worked on. Dave makes exscuses for everything but never addresses the problem only increases his money flow. How is this right? Jeep feels a bit off. Jeep completely broke down and it seems less powerful than before it broke down. They forgot to replace panels and now have exposed wiring in passenger seat. I went here because on their website it said they had a Jeep specialist, but didn't seem like they did, should have gone somewhere else to get a second opinion but could because my Jeep was so dead and had to get it towed there. And would have been a huge pain. When we got it back it looked coated in mud, like a ton of mud, like they took it up to the mountains and rallied in it mud. It wasn't like that before. We paid a decent amount of money to get a mud covered car back to us. Why not wash someone's car before giving it back to them.. I am kind of a picky person about that. I wash and clean my cars regularly. One plus side is they have a good warranty on their work. read more

By Monday afternoon, they had found the parts -- fuel pump + relay -- made the necessary repairs and we were on our way home. Best experience with a mechanic I've ever had! Long story short: My vintage Landcruiser developed a severe mechanical issue while visiting from the Bay Area. Stranded and missing work I brought my truck in on a packed Monday morning. They squeezed me in, diagnosed the problem, repaired the truck and had me on the road by day's end. They test drove the truck before and after the repairer to ensure the problem was solved, and even called me a few days later to make sure the problem was solved. It's hard to find a mechanic who listens to you and then goes the extra mile to make sure you get your vehicle back promptly. They are the only mechanic in the Medford area who would take pity on me and squeeze me in on a fully booked Monday. If I lived there, they would be my mechanic, hands down! read more

Not super impressed. I went in for a rough idle and they recommended a fuel system flush which they performed but that didn't do a thing other then removing $100 form my wallet. They then thought it may be due to exhaust leaks around the Catalytic Converter so off I went to Ricks. He found no leaks and I still have a truck with a rough idle and still not sure what it may be. My son's 2005 Hyundai Elantra died. I had it towed to Kelly's Automotive and left it there overnight. In the morning they informed us that the electrical system was the problem. They fixed it quickly and for less money than I thought and we have not had any problems since. I will use them for any automotive problems and highly recommend them to others. read more

Very disappointed in this place. I had heard great things about Kelly's and decided to take my wife's car in for a starter replacement. It was good quick service. I then decided to take my car in that was pulling right a bit, had a little "wobble" in the steering, and a tire that had a slow leak that Les Schwab couldn't fix for some reason. I called the night before I dropped it off and let them know what the issues were. I was told to bring the car in the next morning and drop the keys in the drop box. Come 1 pm the day I dropped it off I hadn't heard anything so I called in and was told that they were just about to get to my car. I then received a call at 4:30pm saying "sorry, but we were super busy and unable to get to your car today." I was confused and not thrilled about that. I was told they'd call me in the morning and mine was 3rd in the que. I then changed plans for the evening but then received another call back saying that they did get to my car. I called back and was told that my car would likely need alignment, balancing, and possibly a new tire or tires and I could pick it up. I asked if they'd fix it and they said they didn't do that kind of work. I asked them to at least rotate my tires and the agreed to. Upon picking up my car I let them know how unhappy I was with the service and the guy behind the counter made it seem like the did me a favor. I told them I brought my car in to be fixed and they had just recommended that I take my car back to les Schwabb. What the hell? They said they thought I just wanted them to diagnose the issue. What the hell? I told them that all they had to do was tell me how busy they were from the get go and let me know they were unable to do the necessary work from the start and I wouldn't have wasted my time. Turns out, just need one new tire and I will gladly give my money to another business next time I need my cars worked on. I felt it necessary to write this review to steer people clear of this place. They have a weird attitude that they have plenty of business and don't need anymore. This is sad. read more

Their employees are so rude, and I told them about my budget and what I could do and I got in trouble for not actually having an appointment with them when I brought my car in when I was told I could, so I had to bring it in the following day instead but he told me with this appointment it would be $75 up front just to take a look at the car. So I said never mind and they said it would cost double for me to cancel my appointment and when I was able to come to get my car and my key back and I told them I didn't want anything done and that I couldn't afford it they worked on it anyways and they charged me more and the guy wouldn't give me my key back until I paid the amount that was needed, more than $75. They robbed me and lied to me and were complete jerks. read more
