I had an amazing experience here. On a Saturday afternoon I had a sudden and Catastrophic failure of my serpentine belt that also destroyed by water pump. I had recently bought the car from Ashland Motor Co. and while this part was not cover by any warranty they called McClure's who agreed to stay and fix ON A SATURDAY! CAR TOWED TO THEM A 3PM i picked it up at 6pm ALL FIXED. Oh, by the way Ashland Motor Co. paid for the repair even though they did not have to... AMAZING SERVICE ALL AROUND!!!!! read more

Sorry to burst your bubble about McClure's. The receptionist was flat out rude to me on the phone. When I said I needed some mechanical work on my car her entire response was - "Ok......". I stayed calm and politely continued trying to make an appointment. Ultimately they flat out refused to work on my Subaru GL. They said they never learned how to work on those cars and it would have to be a Subaru Forrester or Subaru Legacy. Guess I will take my business elsewhere! Valley View has way better customer service and they will happily accommodate you in whatever you may be driving. read more

The woman who answers the phone sounded dis-interested, monotone, and rude. Should have been my first sign, right??. They looked at my car and didn't tell me the diagnosis, crazy?!, they said they would call me with it?? What, who does that? REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Then they texted me the cost to repair without explaining the issue. If you don't fit their one trick pony service, they aren't interested. As another reviewer said they obviously pick and choose their jobs. Felt like I needed to take a shower after dealing with them. Yuck! read more

We have used McClure's previously and gotten good service. This week, however, we had made an appointment 6 weeks ago for two non-trivial issues, one of which meanwhile resulted in total failure, the other could be dangerous in traffic. After we finally go it, and Dan diagnosed it, Heather called and said he would not have time to do the work for 6 MORE weeks! SO we waited 6 weeks, while the car got worse, and now we have to find a new mechanic to actually do the work. WHAT WAS THE APPOINTMENT FOR? Nevermore. read more
