The time of repair given and the estimate of cost were far better than I could have imagined. Leo, my service writer, was spot-on with his desire to give me the best quote available, provide me a ride home after drop-off, and having the job done by the service team incredibly early on pick-up day. I will definitely keep Keith Schultz Auto Repair at the top of my list! read more

Hands down the BEST auto shop I've ever been to! From the moment I walked in, the entire team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. As a young woman, it's rare to find a place where I don't feel talked down to or taken advantage of -- but here, I felt completely respected and taken care of. The front desk staff is amazing -- they break everything down in a way that's easy to understand, they're honest, transparent, and you can tell they truly care about their customers. No pressure, no BS, just real, trustworthy service. They took great care of my 2016 Toyota Tacoma and made the whole process stress-free. Huge shoutout to Jake for being super helpful and understanding -- especially in moments of frustration. His patience and kindness didn't go unnoticed. I recommend this place to everyone I know -- they've definitely earned a loyal customer for life! read more

I cannot recommend Keith Schulz Garage highly enough! If you've got a car issue in the Medford area, take it to Keith Schulz and you will not be disappointed in the high-level of efficiency, transparency and quality work that they provide. Leo and his team saved me a whole lot of hassle!! Here's why I sing their praises: On the way back from a road-trip, the brake in my Toyota 4Runner became very spongey; essentially I had no braking power until my foot was right against the floor. Well, I had no clue what the cause could be or how it could be fixed. What I did know is that I had to be back to Wenatchee, WA by Sunday and I only had Friday to get it fixed before all the mechanics shops closed for the weekend. Boy am I glad I chose Keith Schulz Garage! From the moment I walked into their office, Leo and the rest of his staff showed kindness and professionalism at ever turn. I spoke with Leo briefly about the issue and he remembered me from the call I had made earlier that morning, demonstrating great care in listening to their customers. He let me know very transparently that to determine the cause of the issue would be $150 for an hour inspection, but only $75 if it took 30min to diagnose. I really appreciated this because usually mechanics don't explicitly say how much a diagnosis will cost and won't want to lower the price if they can help it. Leo made it clear their garage was different and that he would talk with me before arranging any work that would bring the price above $150. However, not knowing the source of the issue, he wasn't sure how much it might cost or if it could be fixed that day. Being from out-of-town, I didn't have anywhere to stay while I was waiting for the repairs and was worried I'd have to pay for a hotel if the issue couldn't be resolved till Monday. Fortunately, Keith Schulz Garage has a very comfortable, air-conditioned waiting room, which I was incredibly grateful for in the summer heat! Before too long, Leo came into the waiting room and explained to me specifically what they found had gone wrong. He even had the old metal brake line that had snapped right there to show me! Again, simply above and beyond excellent customer service and care. Leo also let me know they were getting the parts ordered right away so that they could get the repair done as soon as possible (they knew I was on a time crunch) and gave me a reasonable quote on how much it would cost. Only an hour or two later and Leo came back in again telling me my 4Runner was fully ready to drive with the brake line replaced, brakes bled and brake fluid refilled. I couldn't believe my ears! Just that morning I was getting ready to spend the weekend in a hotel and be a couple days late returning to work in Wenatchee. Now I was told I could be on the road again that instant!! The cherry on top was that since the technicians didn't have to spend as long as they thought making the repairs, Leo dropped the price he quoted me earlier by ~30% - I was over the moon! Next time your vehicle needs repairs, don't hesitate to take it over to the Keith Schulz Garage, they'll save you a whole lot of time, money and make the experience as smooth as it can possibly be for you. read more

Keith Schulz Garage - Auto Repair Near Me - Medford, Oregon

Very professional and knowledgeable service with my Lucid EV repair. Just having moved to Oregon, I needed an EV automotive shop to handle an uncommon model. Incredible attention to detail in quickly diagnosing the problem and even quicker with the fix. Being friendly and attentive took a lot of stress off a very stressful day. Thanks to their staff for the warm welcome. read more

In what was reminiscent of the old "bait and switch" routine, they replaced a part in my non-working heater for $330 and released the car at closing time without even testing the repair job. The heater didn't work. When I brought it back they said it needed another part plus labor for another $280. I'm an unhappy customer. read more

Best experience I've had with a mechanic shop yet, cannot recommend these guys enough, and warn you away from the dealership mechanics. Keith Schulz was Swift, and refreshingly honest and straightforward, where are my formerly trustworthy jeep dealership charged me eight times the cost, took eight weeks, and sold me three or four services and parts that I didn't actually need. Lithia Jeep charged me $175 just for a diagnosis, to tell me what I already knew, but for the same price exactly, Keith Schulz fixed my jeep. Three things you need in life, an objective doctor, honest attorney, and an honest mechanic. I'm still looking for the second, if anyone has met one. read more

Total Crooks! Adam is a piece of work! They rebuilt the diesel engine twice amounting to over 17k and told me to take a hike when the head gasket blew, which was the initial problem. Sauers Machine was the other half of problem. They both can't be trusted. read more

We were traveling through and they helped us right away. The cost was reasonable. No problems with our pickup after the repair. GREAT JOB!

I really appreciate the honesty and upfront pricing these guys give. I took a vehicle in that I thought had timing chain issues, and was prepared to drop the money into a new engine. The guys at Schulz test drove it, and brought it back to me letting me know everything is fine with the truck. It had an exhaust manifold leak. They didn't try to take advantage of me just to get some money, they really seemed to want to give me the best advice possible in regards to my vehicle needs. I appreciate it read more

Took my Expedition there for a timing chain replacement. Had to return twice for oil leaks. Ended up taking it to another shop to get it fixed correctly. Posted one star review and owner offered me $500 refund. Cost me $1200 to get it fixed. I countered with $700 along with agreeing to upgrade review. So I upgraded to two stars. I would have removed the review if he refunded the full $1200. read more

Great communication.. Knowledgeable staff!! Never left to only one contact. They work together as a team to give exceptional service!!

I hate Yelp...but want to give Keith Schulz a public review. I brought my 89 jeep xj for an air conditioner rebuild with an upgrade to modern coolants. I gave them free reign to do the job right, and I got what I was hoping for. My 31 year old jeep now blows cold air and uses the modern coolant. For what it is worth...This is now my shop for automotive AC work in the future. read more

I went there because I needed my AC fixed. They did a great job. I got in soon and my car was only there for two hours. Great value for the work that they did. I will return again. read more

Always pleased with the honesty, fair pricing and skill that I experience at this well-run shop.

Our 2001 Chinook Motorhome broke down in Medford, on our way home to Mission Viejo CA. We had been on a 3 week RV trip to Canada. My brother-in-law, Lee Lanphier recommended Keith Schulz garage, as he is a long-time customer. This on a Friday, late afternoon. After I gave them the history of our fuel problems (trouble filling the gas tank, loss of power, etc.) they diagnosed the problem as a faulty fuel pump. Thankfully Lee offered his home to us for the weekend, and our RV was completely fixed by Monday, and we made it safely home without a single problem! I highly recommend Keith Schulz Garage if any RV'ers or vehicles need a great mechanic in this area. read more

I'm very grateful for being referred to Keith Schulz garage by Firestone Auto Center of Medford after having a major breakdown 70 miles north of Medford at Roberts Mountain. I had a remanufactured engine installed by Keith Schulz Garage. Adam walked me through alternatives but leaned heavily toward Jasper Engines as an engine remanufacturer of choice. I researched on my own, and knowing some about engine internals, found Jasper Engine remanufacturers use multi-layer steel head gaskets which provide a little more insurance prior to a blown head gasket, hypereutectic aluminum pistons, which provide lighter weight with high durability, and Jasper researches OEM factory weaknesses and attempts to rectify any known OEM weaknesses in the remanufacturing process. In my case, the 4.7L Dodge engine had some valve seat issues from the factory build, so Jasper presses the new valve seats into the heads at 2 times the pounds per square inch (PSI) than the factory. Top that off with a 3 year or 100,000 mile nationwide warranty, and it appeared to be a good engine of choice for me as well. I hope it to be a lasting decision to a vehicle breakdown on top of what was already a very financially and emotionally hectic year 2020 for me. Thank You to the entire crew at Keith Schulz garage, and also to the Auto Club for offering 100 mile free towing with the Auto Club Plus membership. read more

Me and my boyfriend were on our way to California on a road trip when the engine light came on. We went to 2 other locations and they were unable to work on the car immediately and we needed to get to our Airbnb in San Fran that same night. Jake and his team were of great help and were very professional. They squeezed us into their busy schedule and got it fixed and back on the road in about 2 hours. I honestly wish I lived in the area so I could go to them for all my car maintenance needs. read more

Jake and the crew took really good care of us.. after having our Lexus through a series of 4 different shops Jake finally helped answer the question of spending any more money on the thing or not. These guys really worked hard to diagnose the problem and they stopped before doing any unnecessary work! We are car shopping now. It means a lot to trust your mechanic so I give the thumbs up and 5 stars. Thanks guys read more

No accountability for the repairs while taking the money and running. A truly horrible experience we had with him. I would tell everyone do not use this garage to have any work on your car if you want it done right. No customer service and they caused more problems with our car than we had to begin with. read more

I brought my '99 4-Runner in after noticing it was losing power going up inclines on my drive up to Oregon. I was able to make an appointment the next day and Chris diagnosed the issue quickly. I had two options and I appreciated his and Jake's honesty when I asked them what they would do in this situation. After waiting for some parts, my car is running better and more smoothly than it has in a long time. I recommend Keith Schulz Garage for all of your automotive needs! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!! Took my Kia in today to have the air conditioning fixed. When I dropped it off they told me that if we had tried to charge it ourselves and it had a sealant in it they would not be able to hook it up to their machines. Apparently they said it did have sealant, so all they did was open the valve and they are saying enough pressure must have been released due to possible over fill. They say "Its working great now"! Well I drove it home and its a 15 min drive or so. They were right it was blowing cold air and seemed fine...until the engine warmed up and started blowing warm air and causing the engine to surge. I'm pissed off because we were charged $69 to have someone take the cap off and say "OK it works"!!! Called them as soon as we got home only to be told "Sorry there is nothing we can do"!! REALLY??!! Called Kia Butler and made an appointment, told them what happened, and were told it shouldn't have been a problem even if there is sealant. Now I REALLY feel taken advantage of!!! read more

I called and made an appointment to check where I was losing water from the cooling system and fix it a couple of weeks ago. I showed up in time they did a pressure check. And told me I needed $1500 worth of work with a new radiator and they didn't have time to work on it for a week. They told me I had a crack in the radiator by the upper hose and the intake was cracked and the gasket was bad. And showed me green fluid and a "crack". I found it kind of suspicious because I had no coolant in my truck just water. Well the upper hose blew out yesterday. It cost me $17 for me to swap it out for a new one. I saw the crack in the radiator which was just a line they drew on it with a pencil. The only thing wrong is that I had a bad leaking hose. Don't let them rip you off. Get a second opinion. I regret paying them for the pressure test in the first place now. read more

Bought a car in Roseburg Oregon and it made it to medford before it pooped out. Met a tow truck driver who recommended this shop. I had the car towed there and figured it would be bunch of BS. I was from out of state and the car was 40 years old. A 74 Impala. I had an idea what was wrong and being frustrated I just left the car there and headed home (400 miles away) Before I could get home I received a couple of calls from the shop about what could possibly be wrong and what course of action they would take. Long story short....they handled the problem, kept the car locked up until I could have a carrier deliver it and they did it all at a decent price. Yeah I probably could have got it done a bit cheaper, but I dont mind spending for the type of top flight service I got. Thanks fellas and keep up the good work. A nice clean shop too. read more

On a Friday afternoon my car decided to throw the cam shaft sensor/ check engine light. I was super upset. My car had already not wanted to start when I was trying to leave the store early that day I am a single mom and don't have a lot of extra money for car repairs, not to mention not having a car is not an option with work, getting kids to school. I spoke to Adam and he said they were completely booked but once I explained my situation he said bring my car on in and they said they would see what they could do. It only took around a couple hours and my car was fixed and I was back on the road. I am so grateful, and not to mention it was reasonable labor charge. Super impressed with these guys Adam, Brandon , Jake you guys are the best. I will be a loyal customer for life. read more

I can't say enough about the professional service my family has received at Keith Schulz with several different cars. Jake and Adam in particular are very friendly and helpful. We always get very competitive and accurate estimates followed by quick turnaround on repairs. On a couple occasions I was overseas with the military and not only did we receive a military discount but I was able to correspond with Adam via email to reassure my wife that the repairs estimated were reasonable and necessary. It's reassuring to have a trustworthy shop we can count on and I highly recommend Keith Schulz for your car repairs and maintenance. read more

The WORST service I have ever had. Brought my car in because of some sensors or something and was overcharged about $200. When I asked about finding the part somewhere cheaper they said no so me being a single mom, working full time, and in college and desperate for my car gave them the go ahead. Later when I asked for the receipt for the part they were extremely shady and said they couldn't give it to me. They then told me they charged me $200 over what the part was worth AFTER they installed it. I told them I didn't appreciate them taking advantage of me because I was a female and they didn't even try to accommodate me. THEY OBVIOUSLY DO NOT RESPECT WOMEN. If you're a female and go here, prepare to get screwed over. read more

Visiting from out of town. Worked me in fast. Nice folks. Good service. Thanks for the quick help.

Women - do your research on what could be wrong with your truck before going in and hound them for details (question "authority")- Brought my 2000 Tacoma in for a $50. diagnostic. It had a code p0420 which is related to catalytic efficiency and could mean it needed a new cat or just o2 or fuel sensors. They were quick to tell me I needed the whole shebang (like around $2000 repair). They said the cat flowed good but was slow to heat up. They said that both my o2 sensors were going bad but my air fuel sensor was ok and that there was a pending code (bank 2 sensor 1 (which is a sensor upstream of the cat) was going). Problem is, my 4 cyl. Tacoma only has a bank one and only has one upstream air fuel sensor and one downstream o2 sensor. I did some research and discovered if a air fuel sensor is going bad it will cause the cat to heat slowly. The guy behind the cash register went yadda yadda yadda about how my truck has over 200k and parts just go bad that are that old. Sorry, won't buy it. Tell me what is really wrong, Dude.. Well, turns out, my cats are just fine. I changed out the air fuel sensor ($80.) myself and check engine light went out and I passed the emissions test and truck runs great. Someone had suggested I try them and wanted to give them a try but eh, sorry, you lost my trust. I will be shopping elsewhere when I need someone to give me a solid diagnostic. read more
