Thank you, Paul. Bought a brand-new Acura a couple months ago and the experience was less than mediocre. We came to an acceptable agreement regarding purchase price and down payment swiftly but had to wait hours just to sign paperwork that took less than ten minutes. During that time there was no initiative to inform us of the functionalities or specifics of the car. There were scuffs on the upper part of the door as well as the door panel. They sent out a "detailer" who swiped something haphazardly, leaving dark swipe marks all over the door. The plastic cover over the gear label has tons of scratches all over it. Those were some of the frustrations with the buying process, but the real irritation came after we received our new plates, which compelled me to write this review. I specifically told Steve Perry we wanted to transfer our WC plates, like we had done twice before with no issues. He proceeds to tell us that we can do that at the DMV once we receive our new (tree) plates because "if we did it at the time of purchase, it would cost us more." Really? That was news to me. For one, who wants or has time to sit at the DMV to replace their license plates when they can do it at the dealership? Secondly, how dishonest and inconsiderate. So... come to find out after a 1.5 hour wait at the DMV, (thanks Steve) the rep asked why the dealership didn't transfer the plates on our behalf because instead of it costing a whopping $6.00, it cost us almost $70! Apparently a $4k plus down payment wasn't enough. Needless to say, once our lease is up, we'll go to an Acura dealership up north.

The salesman could only find one key, told us the other was somewhere and he would find it then mail it to us. It's now the end of July after several phone calls we finally got a key in May. We had to take it to our local Acura dealer to have it programmed, just like the key, we were promised reimbursement. Again after several phones calls and multiple excuses we have not received our reimbursement. Every phone call we speak to someone new as the previous person is either in the hospital or no longer employed there. We regret making the drive to Oregon for our cash purchase. This dealership is really out there, they are extremely unprofessional!! DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS SHADY BUSINESS!! They were very happy to take our money however they have no interest in repeat customers as they have treated us so disrespectful that I will never do business with them again nor will I recommend anyone to them!

I'm very disappointed…read more Our 2016 Ford Edge suffered a cracked flywheel, a known recall issue with our model year (https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2022/MC-10218899-0001.pdf). The Butler Ford in Ashland service team identified the issue immediately as a recall problem and assured us they could fix it at no cost. That made us happy, as this is an expensive fix (about $3400). But then, after a day of back-and-forth phone calls, they told us that our car was too old for the recall benefit to apply, and we would have to pay the full amount. ' Not even an appeal to Ford's "Goodwill" division made a dent in this decision. So -- there's a known defect in the way the car was manufactured, but Ford refuses to honor it's own customer service recall. It makes no sense. The defect in the car doesn't go away just because the car gets older. It's still there, lurking, waiting to crack the flywheel and make your car inoperable. That's what happened to us, and it could happen to you. We also had to repeatedly ask if we could have a loaner car for our 1-car family to use while this expensive repair was being done. They finally allowed us to rent a car for $30/day. The repair took over a week. There are lots of ways this could have gone to so that Butler Ford of Ashland could keep us as customers. Needless to say, we're very dissatisified. As a result of this experience, we will never buy a Ford again, not from Butler Ford in Ashland, not from any Ford dealer. Ever.

I'm amazed every time by their ability to get right to the bottom of things and turn a car around in a day or two. most importantly, Gale is an honest man. he'll certainly tell you when things need to be fixed; but he's equally ready to admit when things can just be patched or ignored altogether if it's not worth throwing money at. he's saved me a couple thousand bucks just in the last year* by finding problems fast and being creative about solutions. * yes, I drive older cars that come cheap with big ticket items just around the corner. it's a challenge sometimes, but it helps me weed out bad mechanics rather quickly ;)

I guess things have changed with Used Car factory. First of all I never write a bad reviews for…read morebusinesses I have done transactions with. But Used Car Factory has changed that. I bought a truck from them, the next day the check engine light came on. Took it back there, they said they would replace it no problem, as long as I got the part. I purchased the part, and brought the truck back to them, their mechanic could not figure it out. It was an O2 censor. The issue was, with that engine type, the wrong o2 censor would read that it needed to be replaced. So I had to take my truck into a different mechanic, and drop over $500 to get the o2 censor issue figure out. Then came back to Used Car factory, asked if they could reimburse me for the Auto shop fee, they said not, Then asked if they would simply pay for the parts, they again said no. Will never refer anyone I know to this car lot. I dropped 15k on my truck, they could have at least replaced/paid for the parts I had to put into the truck, to get it running right. The last conversation I had with them, I asked them to pay for the o2 censor, which is $126. After paying over $15,000, you would think they would at least do that.
