At the last moment before the plumbers arrival, I had to rush out and pick up one of my kids because my wife was running late. Despite the change of plans, he persevered, kept in touch, assessed the situation and gave me a price without any hassle or drama, which I appreciated. Some companies are not able to give estimates without both homeowners there walking thru everything which is ridiculous. Anyway, he came back a few days later, showed up right on time for the job and got to work right away. There was minimal disruption and the guy worked very well independently. In the end the project was completed successfully and everything was done exactly as I wanted. Five star work! It's kind of cliche but it's a little hard to find a good plumber these days. On Tuesday, August 4th, I awoke to significant flooding in my closet caused by a slab leak. I immediately began contacting plumbing companies and ultimately reached Main Line Plumbing, who arrived within a couple of hours. At that point, the service appeared prompt and satisfactory. Shortly thereafter, I received an emailed estimate for $5,200, followed by a call from an office representative named Kayla, requesting that I sign the estimate to approve the work. I did so, and she informed me that a 50% deposit was required before they could begin. I submitted the deposit, only to be notified shortly afterward that the earliest available appointment would be Friday, two days later. Given the active leak and ongoing damage, I expressed my concern and reminded her that the technician had indicated he would request priority scheduling. Despite this, Kayla stated that Friday was the only available opening. Due to the urgency of the situation, I requested that the job be canceled and my deposit refunded. She responded that she would need to inform the owner and refused to connect me directly to him. During subsequent calls, she repeatedly stated that she had notified the owner but continued to refuse to transfer my call. Several days later, Kayla informed me that the refund would be issued and would take 3-5 business days to appear on my account. It has now been nearly 10 days, and no refund has been received. As a result, I contacted my bank and initiated a dispute of the charge. This experience raises serious concerns regarding the company's customer service, professionalism, and integrity. I strongly advise others to exercise caution when considering this business. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Main Line Plumbing and Electrical and would assign them a firm thumbs down.
