Met four gentleman for breakfast here recently, and had a very pleasant experience. The menu provides a nice selection of offerings and each of us were pleased with our choices. The interior of the restaurant is comfortable and is reminiscent of a farm house, which I'm sure was the intended atmosphere. Our server was friendly and professional. Stopped in for lunch. Seated immediately waited 10 minutes for order to be taken. Took 25 minutes for soup and salad. Place wasn't even crowded. Asked for more napkins,never got them. Had to wave down other waitresses for refills. Unusual for this spot. read more

I asked for a water and she brought me an apple cider, which I didn't ask for. My server was very slow. The bathroom was disgusting and stunk really bad like poop. I just love going to Bob Evans for breakfast. In my humble opinion, they have the best breakfast sausage ever! Links or patties, it doesn't matter. Both taste GREAT! Since I currently live in a state that does not have this restaurant, eating here again was a real treat. The food was delicious and the service stellar. Our waitress, Julie, was spot on with refilling drinks right when needed. She also made small talk and helped create an overall positive dining experience. In addition to the regular menu and specials, the restaurant has an amazing deal on soup. They are currently selling quarts of soup for just $5 each. Place was half empty, service was horrible. We constantly had to go get staff to seat us, to take our order, to get our food and we were never given the check at the table. We had to go to the register to ask for the check just so we could pay and leave. It was deliberate, as the waitress would look directly at us and pass us by. Although we enjoy breakfast at Bob Evans, the lady's restroom is disgustingly dirty. The floors and the facilities are very dirty. I have been there several times in the last year and the restroom is filthy. This is the Bob Evans in Boardman, Ohio on California Avenue. Management needs to take charge and insist on the workers actually cleaning the entire room . The restroom is in need of a deep cleaning. read more

Was very disappointed with my meal. The sausage patties and the potatoes were burnt and dried out. Our server was slow and I had to ask her for a spoon twice which she never brought and my husband got it for me. She never asked how our meal was and if we needed anything else. The restaurant had a stale smell and could use a remodel to refresh it. I've always enjoyed their breakfasts in the past but I don't intend to return there again. read more

Came in around 3pm for brunch with my brother, it was very slow and we were seated fairly quickly and within a couple minutes she came and got our drinks dropped them off and told us she'd be back to take our order. After 15 minutes we see her sit another table right next to us, four people.. she takes their drink order immediately and comes back with their drinks and asks if everyone was ready to order. Takes their order and goes to put it in. We don't see her for another 15 minutes when we decided to just leave and go somewhere else. She looked at us and didn't say a word. Terrible service.. Bob Evans is a pretty reliable food chain, and this restaurant is pretty on par for what you would expect. I am pretty partial to breakfast here and usually get what I expect. It's Bob Evans. You really cannot beat their breakfast. Biscuits and gravy or a country fried steak and eggs. We have eaten at this location several times as well as Bob Evans all over, never disappointed. Perkins and IHOP cannot compare. I know this sounds weird but Bob Evans always has a friendly staff as well. My eggs ok, wife's eggs underdone and her toast cold and paper thin. Her potatoes cool. This is the worst bob Evans ever. Waitress came to the table after quite a wait and groaned loudly. When I asked her if she was alright she said " I'm here." and gave us a list of her pains. We should have left right then, as it went down hill from there, I ordered the 3 egg breakfast but when it finally got there I only got 2 eggs and by the time they got the 3rd egg to me I was done eating. I had been going to this BobEvans for over 30 years and until recently it was the best one, some of the waitress had been there for 20years and it ran like a well oiled machine, now the staff are all rude and loud and careless about their work. He was unfriendly, unpleasant and obviously wished he was anywhere other than working there. Worst excuse for a Bob Evans ever! I ordered the chicken and noodles deep dish family meal. What I received was biscuits with mashed potatoes, a few pieces of white with a little bit of gravy over it. Not a noodle in sight. I was supposed to receive chili, but it was a lot of broth with a little bit of ground beef. No beans or tomatoes to be seen. My server was Jasmin in Boardman Ohio and service was horrible. She ignored me when I got there for 15 minutes. Then finally came over and said I'll be right with you as she proceeded to wait on everyone around me. I spoke to the assistant manager about her. While she did take a little money off of my bill she was little help. I wanted to take leftover home but could not get a container since Jasmin never came back. I filed a complaint on Bob Evans website. Eric Prayner the operations manager called me and left a voicemail. I've called him back twice with no return call. Had to work until 7pm on Thanksgiving, which meant that I missed my families Thanksgiving Dinner. Looked online to see who was open and thankfully, Bob Evans was open and offering a Turkey Dinner that also included pumpkin pie. Not sure what they put in their mashed potatoes but they are consistently great each time that I order them. The dinner and the pie were both excellent and filling. It is a chain restaurant, but the consistency and quality of the food keeps me coming back. read more

Went to Bob Evans a few days ago for breakfast - hadn't been to a B Evans in years, cause they had a very small menu and didn't have much i liked. Anyway, they've really enlarged the menu over the yrs , lots to choose from. No one waited on us when we got there, waitresses walked by us ( after looking at us) ...no one behind the counter came over to seat us. ....we weren't impressed with the wait.. This was around 11 am...it's not like it was jammed. We were ready to walk out and finally a lady came and took us to our seat, there were several empty tables , they could have seated us 5 mins early, we were standing at least 5 mins. for no reason. Waitress was very nice, but service was somewhat slow .....waited and waited. Finally got food, it wasn't very hot . We ate and it was good, not overly impressed . Maybe next time things will improve . We might try it again,,,sometime. read more

This place is horrible! The wait staff have no clue what they should be doing. My son and i went there for dinner and we were completely ignored for 45 mins. When i finally asked for my appetizer of garlic mushroom, and they werent good at all! Then after another 20 mins i asked about our entrees and was told there was a mistake. Our dinners had been made but no one told the waitress. When i went to complain to managment he tried to bring out our dinners that had been under heat lamps for close to an hour!
