    Mash potatoes

I ordered dinner for Christmas the Farmhouse Feast for 4 which I have had at other Christmas gathering. But after getting it home on Christmas Eve and unpacking the box I was shocked by what they call a dinner for 4. There was a pint of Mash potatoes, a pint of stuffin, a pint of Green Beans and a pint of Corn and the Turkey was pressed not cut off of the Turke. This was not the same quality as I had enjoyed in the past. I called to question why ther servings were so small I was told by the Manager that those were Bob Evans portions for 4 a portion of Mash Potatoes is one cup there was only a little over 2 cups in the containe. I won't ever buy this again or eat there again again from the reviews I've read they have gone down hill.

While down in Spring Hill for an appointment we decided to stop into their Bob Evans for lunch. I have to admit that we haven't visited a Bob Evans in such a long time - our county doesn't have one but it would definitely be a welcome addition to our growing community. The outside was clean but plain with just a bench for sitting. I think because they were in a shopping plaza setting. Inside it was divided into two separate areas. One side had a big glass case which held their desserts and had their registers on top, a bar for eating at and behind all that is their ovens and kitchen. We were seated on the other side of the restaurant at a nice table looking out the big panel of windows. Their menu is vast but take into consideration they're open from 7AM to 9PM seven days a week. We decided to order from their dinner menu because we were starving but you can order breakfast anytime of the day. For our appetizer we decided to try their Rancher Crispy Potatoes. It's one of their new menu items and it was delicious. Our waitress Jessi brought it not long after serving us our unsweetened ice teas which by the way were served in canning Jars! The Rancher Crispy Potatoes were Crispy baby potatoes topped with a good amount of shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled crispy bacon that were drizzled with a ranch dressing and sprinkled with green onion bits! So satisfying that we would definitely order them again. We both ordered the Slow Roasted Turkey and Dressing because it looked so scrumptious on the menu and I have to say it did not disappoint! Slow roasted Turkey slices over a good portion of their dressing with turkey gravy spooned over top. Served with two sides. I had their brown sugar glazed carrots and their macaroni and cheese and a biscuit on the side. We had a choice of either a biscuit or dinner roll. I absolutely enjoyed my meal. My hubby who incidentally ordered the same exact sides also enjoyed his meal. Our server Jessi was excellent- friendly and attentive to our needs without being intrusive. All in all a great dining experience and I can't wait to go back and try some more of their meals!

Farmers omlette. Spinach, portabella mushrooms, scallions, tomatoes, cheddar

Bob Evans is a famous name. I've known him to be the sausage link guy. I visited for breakfast while visiting the Brooksville area. Customer Service very typical of the south. The layout reminded me of Denny's with a country setting. The menu features an extensive plethora of fresh omlettes, crepes, pancake, egg and waffle platters. I went with friends and everyone ordered something different. Bob's praises them self on local fresh produce. I opted for the farmers omlette. Fresh spinach, portabella mushrooms, cheddar, tomatoes and scallion. Delicious. Served with toast or biscuits and hash browns. The hash browns were fresh roasted potatoes. Kids eat for $2.99 and the breakfast is served with fruit, eggs, pancakes and a choice of meat. This was more cost effective than Ihop. Healthier also. The prices here are great. I will be back.

Used to be a favorite chain but a real shame they switched from coke products to Pepsi. Won't return.

And in Sebring, that means you walk into the cool Irish pub on the circle and soak it all in. The interior alone makes it worth the visit. Dark wood, warm lighting, that cozy tucked-away pub feel that makes you forget you are in the middle of Florida. It feels transported. It is one of those places in Sebring that you just have to see because it is so unexpectedly cool inside. Service was great. I was there for a quick in and out, so I sat at the bar and kept it simple with a chicken Caesar salad. Nothing fancy. For the price, it was very fair, and the flavor held up. No complaints. It did exactly what it needed to do, which was give me a solid meal in a comfortable setting without overcomplicating things. Now let's talk about Sebring itself. Sebring is one of those towns in the middle of nowhere Florida where you find yourself thinking, "I wonder what it would be like to live here?" while also scratching your head a little. It reminds me of The Villages before The Villages became The Villages. There is a concept there. It is adorable. It is charming. And most of the time, it is very, very quiet. Personally, I would go stir crazy living there full time. But I can absolutely see the appeal. And to be fair, Sebring is not always sleepy. It comes alive during major events like the legendary 12 Hours of Sebring at Sebring International Raceway, which draws racing fans from all over the world. There is also the Sebring Soda Festival, the Highlands County Fair, and various car shows and seasonal events that suddenly flood the town with energy. During those times, I imagine the entire vibe shifts. If I were to come back, it would be for one of those big events or for some serious antique shopping, because that is where this area quietly shines. Gavaghans fits perfectly into that Sebring personality. Cozy. A little unexpected. Solid. Worth stepping into. Even if you are not an Irish pub person, it is one of those spots that makes you think, okay... I get it.

We sat ourselves at a table nearest a window. The place is dimly lit. We placed our order at the bar. We did not wait long for our meal. We each had the Cesar Salad with Bacon bits and a glass of red wine. The salad was a generous portion, fresh and crisp with just the right amount of housemade dressing. We each ate half of the salad and took the remaining home. The place was quiet with only one other table seated. We were able to converse with each other in a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere. It was a most pleasant evening. I recommend Gavaghans and plan to return on a weekend when the place might have a more livelier vibe.

Add a half booth, you know, the time with a bench on one side and chairs. On the other where we were presented with 2 coffee mugs and asked if we wanted anything to drink While we looked at the menu, we told the host that we will order shortly. So she said okay and left. Upon looking around, we noticed that several tables were empty. But still dirty, and then we looked at our coffee mugs, and saw that they were dirty. So when our waitress showed up within a couple of minutes we asked for new cups And some coffee, and as soon as she came back to the table, she just poured coffee into 2 new cups without us. Even looking at them and then given a few more minutes to place a order We noticed that the table beside us was starting to get cleaned then they left without taking the dishes, we thought that was kinda odd being that my friend and I were previous restaurant owners ourselves what we understand that people get busy and then about 5 minutes later, the person came back and finished up the table. And at that time we placed our order Of which I ordered a special that they were running at the time. Mine was a italian type sandwich, and she ordered a taco neal without avocado, the food arrived not too long after we were there presented to us in a decent manner. They both looked good but to our surprise, both of our meals were pretty bland and the aforementioned coffee that was given to us had a very burnt, bitter taste to it. So we both decided to just drink our lemon water which the limits for the most part and her bowl of fruit, whether the best tasting options that we were given. Because my Italian sandwich was bland and the chorizo on the sausage are in the sauce was very overpowering. And I really would like to have enjoyed my sandwich but it was bland and almost tasteless. It did look good as did my friends breakfast tacos, she told me that the best part of it was the fruit bowl to help take away the taste in her mouth from it, i like trying different things whenever I go to a First Watch when I go. But this one did not seem to match the expectation that I've had at others I've been to And lastly, as with a lot of restaurants these days, as we were opening straws And discarding napkins and putting in a nice pile for the waitress to take away, it sat there until after we were done with our meal. Typically when you go to a table and you're asking questions and credibility with customers, you would clear away any trash and stuff around them if you can And do anything you can to comfort your customer other than that the waitress was attentive, just in my opinion, not awake yet, I don't know if they had a bad weekend or what but this is not what you would want. At a higher end breakfast place, I may try it again in the future. And see if they get their stuff together, in my opinion, or I may just go to another and see how they compare.
