The only disappointment was with my bone-in pork chop. Somehow, my order never made it to the kitchen. Once the mistake was discovered, the kitchen prepared it quickly, and it arrived exactly five minutes later. Unfortunately, it was raw in the center. I was told that the pork chop is normally served slightly pink, but this was clearly undercooked. I wish I had taken a photo. The kitchen promptly took it back and returned it properly cooked. Despite this mishap, the staff handled the situation professionally, and the overall service was good. The food was delicious, the portions were excellent, and I would consider returning, hoping this was just an isolated kitchen error.

My wife and I split a Caesar salad to start. For our entree, we had the lemon shrimp and crab scampi. My mom got a side Caesar and the mini beef wellingtons (absolutely delicious). Our daughter had the roasted romesco half chicken. One of my son-in-laws got the garlic Parmesan pork chops. I tried a bite and wished I'd had it all to myself. My other son-in-law got the Cherry chipotle salmon and finished it before I could even steal a bite. It was a Wednesday and we had already had plenty to eat but ended up sampling desserts. We had the espresso tiramisu and bananas foster cheesecake. The cheesecake was the star for me, but both were loved by the table. I parked near their walkway sign and once I ventured through, it's such a lovely walk up to the restaurant with a bridge over water with fountains and tons of blooms everywhere. Once inside, I was met with a bright, crisp dining room that was clean and comfortable. We started with cocktails and I got their version of a Manhattan, the hog-hattan. It's made with Whistlepig 6 year and came out on the rocks. Manhattans not served up are kinda a pet peeve of mine--but this one? Truly and honestly one of the best Manhattans of my life. The server did not steer me wrong. It was exquisite. For my dinner, my dining companion and I opted for a deal they had that allowed you a starter and main for a reasonable price. I got the kale salad for my starter which was bursting with flavor--chopped kale, brussels sprouts, butternut squash, chevre, and a bright citrus-y vinaigrette--what's not to love? For my main, I got their Mahi Mahi which was also perfectly executed.
