Bob Evans is an American restaurant franchise that has been around the Louisville area for what I can recall as practically my whole life. They are a standard run fo the mill restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. When I was younger I can remember only liking there breakfast foods. Now that I'm older it worked out perfect because they serve breakfast all day. I've been to this location quite a bit over the years. They always keep it upkept really well but they are usually on the slower side and the service is hit and miss. Pricing isn't ever too bad. On our latest visit I got the steak and eggs breakfast. Eggs were solid (a smidge cold), the sirloin was tiny and tough. Like it made Waffle House steaks look like fine dining. The hash browns side was pretty tasty and I did love my banana nut bread side. Overall my meal was just solid. Wish the steak was better but it is what it is. My wife got the homestead (bacon and eggs variety plate) and some French toast. She mainly shared the eggs and bacon with our 1 year old daughter. Her French toast was "just decent". My oldest daughter got the double chocolate hot cakes. And I'll give props. They were phenomenal. I keep swiping samples off her plate. The other two daughters got kids meals. They get what they get at every place. One gets a chicken tender/nugget and the other gets a cheeseburger. The 2nd oldest liked her tenders a lot. So that was approved. The 2nd youngest ate half her cheeseburger. So hit or miss on that one. Overall bob Evans is always a solid place to grab a bite. You kinda know what your getting when you go. So my expectations aren't ever through the roof. It's never a place I'll crave or seek out but it's the type of establishment where I'm like "we haven't been there in awhile". Also works when you want breakfast for dinner and the kids or wife/significant other doesn't. I'd say we maybe make an appearance once to twice a year.

Nasty old gravy on the menu. Gross.

Food was fine and service was good but one of the menus we got was disgusting. It had gravy or something on it. It was very noticeable, and I find it hard to believe that none of the employees that handle the menus noticed it. Gross.

I'm not really a breakfast gal. But my MIL and my son are. So when we were visiting I went along for their beloved breakfast date. We had never been to this establishment but everyone was so welcoming and treated us like family. I don't know what the guy's actual title is (I think he said his name was Rod) but he should be the guy in charge if he isn't. If he is, he's a great leader. He treated us like we were his only guests, outside of introducing us to our neighbor diner. He accommodated our needs and kept a close eye on us to make sure we were good for our entire meal. Coming from Baltimore, this was like a breath of fresh air. Customer service is lacking greatly in this country right now. But when you have baby boomers taking care of you, you know you'll get great service. Thanks so much for the great experience.

On Easter Sunday I was a little reluctant to go out for breakfast and since I was alone I went. As expected the lot was full. There was a Full waiting area but I was lucky enough to find a seat at the counter. Jessica my server was cheerful and prompt. I was craving the biscuits and gravy. My food came out quicker than I expected. My Biscuits & gravy was delicious as always, my hash browns crisp. Jessica checked on me and kept my glass full. Good Service makes for a great experience and is well rewarded. I normally sit a a table. While sitting at the counter I was amazed to see how well the waitresses and kitchen worked together. There was three managers and a well trained staff working smoothly. You will also find. At check out there is a To-Go case of baked goods of pies, breads and cookies. For the busy take out there is a reserved parking spaces. I must say for traditional comfort food Bob Evans is a great choice for any meal. Note; The menu offers a diverse selection of meals and breakfast all day. Parking lot makes for easy access. Restaurant and facilities were very clean.

The family and I went here this afternoon for breakfast. It was first time I ever been to bob evans. I got the potato soup and I must say it was really good. Wife got another type of soup and the girls got biscuits and gravy. It was a fun time with friendly staff. The soup was fantastic I give it a 5. I enjoy it and will be back

THIS WAS TERRIBLE.the girl took forever and food was microwaved like Wtf and I found a hair in the food Cheeseburger

    Nice pleasant interior.

The menu looked delicious and full of temptations but silly me I ordered the meager country biscuit. A divided biscuit with one egg and sausage gravy. Home fries on the side. Sorry, not sorry, no photos of my meal. Not worth the effort. So....my server immediately asked What do you think of those home fries? I answered They look Dry and over cooked. She agreed!?! So she delivered a fresh batch several minutes later. They were standard fare. Decent. Nice interior. All earth tones. Clean. Coordinated. Pleasant.

You order at the window, take a buzzer, get your drinks and find somewhere to sit. We (a party of 4) showed up around 11 on a Sunday morning and the line was already out the door. We had a hard time deciding what to order because everything we saw coming out before us looked just as delicious as the last. After the owner greeted us and gave a run down while in line, we settled on the shrimp and grits, steak and eggs, bread pudding french toast with a side of bacon, and a chicken and bacon croissant sandwich. (I wanted to order the biscuits and gravy weekend feature but they were already sold out.) The girl at the register was polite but very soft spoken so we had trouble hearing what she said. The coffee was the perfect temperature for drinking immediately without scalding yourself, and the different flavorings and types of milk/cream to choose from was a major plus! There were no complaints about any of our food except the steak was a bit under seasoned. I had the french toast, and, in my opinion, is enough for 2 people. There was a bit too much whipped buttercream for me but I was able to rake off majority, and the fruit that came on top was so fresh! The bacon was thick sliced and 3 of my 4 pieces were cooked perfectly to my liking - not too crispy, not too soft! We all were part of the clean plate club after eating because the food was that good! I wished now we would have taken pics of our food before eating! It's a shame it came up as #16 on my Yelp search because it wasn't even the least bit on my radar for our breakfast spot. The hot chocolate was pipping hot and delicious topped with toasted marshmallows. The apple cider mimosas had a weird flavor, I would recommend going with another fruit juice option. We ordered the kids buttered noodles with waffle on the side - big wide noodles that were swimming in butter. My son thought it was too much butter but loved the type of noodles. The waffle was good - not very sweet but he enjoyed it. My daughter loved the chicken and waffles entree, but I thought the portion was a bit small for an adult entree. The chicken was freshly breaded but the waffle was on the smaller side. The sandwiches and soups were delicious - we had the club which was filled with ham and turkey and the perfect amount of mayo. The Hot Brown is an open-faced turkey sandwich. A thick slice of turkey is served over thick-sliced bread. The turkey is covered with mornay (béchamel with Gruyère cheese), topped with bacon, sprinkled with parmasean and broiled in a gratin-dish, served with a roasted tomato. The place is positioned as this incredible Mexican breakfast destination, so I figured it had to be something special. Turns out it's just standard Mexican food and drinks. Even if they were using using "the freshest most highest quality ingredients", it doesn't show in the final product at all. Heres what i got: The Espresso Martini ($14) was actually decent--nice and foamy with a solid chocolate note. The Carajillo ($8), on the other hand, was weak. It tasted like plain iced coffee with zero detectable alcohol. I wouldn't order it again. The Wake Up Burrito $14: their biggest hype item. I got it and added chorizo for $3.50, bringing the total to nearly $17.50. It's sausage, cheese, eggs, and beans wrapped up--pretty good, but nothing groundbreaking. Without their green sauce it's completely average, no different from any regular breakfast burrito at a diner. The green sauce itself is what really the only saving grace, but they serve it in tiny thimble-size portions like they're guarding some secret recipe. So for $18 you get a medium-size burrito plus a couple of fried tortillas with cheese on the side. Compare that to mexican spot like Bandito, where the burritos are twice the size and cost much less. This one is seriously overrated. The Chilaquiles - I got the side order of these with the burrito, and were average at best. Just fried tortillas with cheese and a little sauce that had a slightly sour edge. Not bad, but nothing I'd call amazing. I thought to myself, if these had egg and beans(what the main dish has) , would I have been glad to pay $17? The answer is no. Ive had better at the airport. Bottom line: Foko is incredibly overrated. It feels like a tourist trap built for people for those Luisville people who who don't eat much Mexican food and think this is the pinnacle. I get it, the decor is nice and gives that "premium" feel but the prices are way too high for what you actually get. I won't be back.
