The food is average. But the service is awesome! If you are looking for wifi they have it but it's hit or miss.

Ok... the location of this spot is sort of odd. It's in a strip mall that looks like it has seen…read morebetter days. However, the reviews were good so we ventured in... and I'm glad we did as the inside is extremely inviting and the food was great! First of all - there's a kid's waiting area with snacks!! What an amazing idea! We sat quickly and ordered. I had the salmon entree - which was not the prettiest looking plate but wow, was it good! Cooked well and the vegetables that were steamed on the side were perfectly cooked also. Burgers looked good and everyone ate swiftly so I assume everyone's meals were delicious. Service was friendly and swift (but didn't rush us) and this spot even had clean bathrooms (which is a huge plus for a restaurant). Price is reasonable especially for the portion sizes. So, ignore the location and the look of the outside (they also have speakers playing horse sounds outside...) and head in for a delicious and friendly meal.

We were in from out of town so this was our first visit. Every single thing we ordered was excellent. I personally had the salmon with the remoulade baked on top. It was so creamy and fish was cooked perfectly. I loved the bread and butter as well as the side salad and veggies. I ordered my 3-yo a kids meal with chicken tenders and broccoli. It was super nice that they brought him an Oreo cookie for dessert. This is my kind of place, they get it.

I tried the Shepard's pie which as very reasonably priced at $18 and family tried the bangers and mash which was also $18. We tried the sangria too which was supposedly half off at $14. The sangria was a little watered down and it had cinnamon sticks which gave it a ciannomy taste - I dont like cinnamon which they would have not put it in there. The Shepard's pie seemed to be very popular and it was fresh, tasty. The bangers and mash had a lot of both. The ambience was nice - we were seated outside on a very nice fall day. The inside also was packaged and it was quite neat. The service initially was super slow which was frustrating. we didn't get a server for a while and it seemed to be the case for various parties which was again - frustrating! Once our order was taken things moved much quicker which was nice to see. I also saw some dogs in the patio area where we were which was nice to see as a dog lover. Overall a good meal and would recommend!

This is a great place to meet up with a large group of friends due to the size of the restaurant and lively atmosphere. We had the fish and chips which were good, although a little oily, had more batter than fish and the chips weren't hot and fresh; however, the coleslaw was delicious, the beer and cider was cold and the service was terrific! The restaurant is located on the main downtown street, so parking may be challenging, but not impossible to find. The

Further reading into the history of place, I found that this place has been around since the 1940s. A cool history and the curiosity for the long lines brought us to be one of those people standing in line one morning. First of all, I am slightly terrified of diners thinking the service would be bad but from the moment we were greeted to when we left the place, the atmosphere has been very welcoming and friendly. Our waitress sat us at a small booth close to the kitchen. I ordered coffee and their bird nest thinking... it should be fine, it's a bird nest, not a full blow whatever other huge breakfast plates they have! I was wrong. My husband ordered their famous hashbrown omelette that I felt could have fed an entire village! My bird nest came. My eyes got really big because honestly, it was the size of an eagles' nest. I apologized profusely for not finishing and since it was our last full day before moving on from Holland, I couldn't take the leftovers home. My husband felt the same way but he at least ate half of his food. To me, I think my food needed a bit more flavor but they have salt and pepper on the table. We noted that there seemed to be a lot of regulars or repeat customers. No doubt, this place is a very nostalgic place for a lot of people who have moved away or have visited here previously. To be honest, even though it was only our first visit, the people made us feel at home.

He said these are hands-down one of the two best restaurants for pancakes he has ever been to. (The other is in Washington DC). The Klompen cakes with blueberries were light, fluffy, and delicious. I even had half of one of his (he ordered three!) and was incredibly impressed. I got the veggie power blend skillet (sauce on the side) with two poached eggs. I only added salt and pepper, it did not even need the sauce that came with it, it was that good. The orange juice was truly fresh squeezed, the latte was good and the coffee was strong. Overall, an excellent experience. The only drawback to our breakfast experience was not being able to have real maple syrup with the pancakes. Kristin, a thoughtful and attentive server, explained that they used to have this as an option, but no longer do. We highly recommend if you are in the area!

The strudel was also excellent with a perfectly balanced gravy, well done potatoes, and eggs. The flavors and textures were perfect. The server was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was average. Not bad average, just fine average. No complaints. Just a basic farm style diner vibe. I highly recommend this place.
