I can't deny that I had never heard of Bob Evans until I saw them at my grocery store. I am in love with their macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. So , while in Michigan I noticed a Bob Evans and decided to stop by. I did stop by for breakfast. There was nine in our party and we were seated right away on Mother's Day Sunday. We did go early around 8:30 in the morning. There's plenty of dishes to choose from on their menu. I wanted to try their pancakes, so I got their banana berry farmers choice. It came with blueberry pancakes with bananas on top with a side of hashbrowns, eggs, and sausage. The pancakes were soft and fluffy. The portion size was pretty big. My meal came with three pancakes, two eggs, hashbrowns, and two sausages. Needless to say, I left my half food because I couldn't bring it back with me to Texas and I was full. I wish I could have. I very much enjoyed my whole meal. The Waitress was very nice and accommodating. She handled the 9 of us easily. Parking is available on site. read more

They have a bacon cheese soup that is my fav! Prices are decent. Tends to be an older crowd there. All the staples and great service. Since it is a quieter place, it is a good place to meet as a group, easy to hear each other. read more

Very racist , UNFRIENDLY & RUDE. The white lady at the front made a face at us as we walked in, as if we didn't belong there (first sign we were not welcomed) she said "GOOD MORNING" condescendingly, as if I had barked orders at her without greeting first (I hadn't even spoken yet because we were still walking up towards her) I said , "good morning we placed an order over the phone " & she just looked at us blankly, like we were speaking a foreign language. I looked at my husband confused, looked back at her & said "we placed an order.... over the phone & we're here to pick up" making the phone motion with my hand , at this point I realized the game we were playing so I started acting stupid right along with her. She just said "pick up is over there" while she turned away from us , shooing / pointing us away from her like we were SUCH an inconvenience. So we went to the counter where she pointed to , told the younger lady that we placed an order over the phone for pick up, she got our food & said "I'll check you out over at that counter over there" so the first older lady sent us to the wrong counter to begin with (this was our first time in here so we didn't know where to pick up) my husband paid , then on the screen the question popped up if we wanted to tip, I reached towards the screen to put the tip amount in & before I could even input how much to tip the younger lady goes "JUST HIT THE GREEN BUTTON" .........ok? I was going to tip something on our PICKUP order but now you just lost that because who the hell are you talking to like that? She says "want your receipt?" I said "no you can keep it , I don't know what the attitude is for & I see why you guys have bad reviews" & walked out. We should've left the food and not paid but my kids were hungry & I wasn't going to make them wait while we went somewhere else to get food just because of poor customer service & racial discrimination. read more

We stayed close by and it was an obvious choice for a quick Breakfast on our way out. I have not been to a Bob Evins in many many years and the others with us had never been. The restaurant was very clean and inviting, the service was exceptional. Everyone we encountered was warm and friendly. It was Strawberry time so I had one of the Strawberry samplers. The food was all good, the Banana bread that came with some of the meals was really good. That is something I dont remember the last time we were there. What can I say. Restaurant was not busy and there appeared to be plenty of wait staff. We sat down and waited and waited when two other tables seated after us were waited on. Had to flag down a waitress. Took 15 more minutes to get drinks. When the food came, the corn was brown, the gravy tasted like a can and the chicken was raw in the middle. If there was a zero i would have used it. We went to Bob Evans for supper after being on the road all day coming from Northeast Ohio. My wife and i go inside, and we are told it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait. Okay, no problem, we can manage that. I am in a wheelchair with a leg in the cast, and i had to use the restroom, well go inside it's messy, can't reach the soap dispenser, so I finish and go to the car to grab some soap, go back inside wash my hands, and bring the soap back to the car. While i was at the car, my wife comes and says we are leaving. I ask her why, and she says that they seated a family with kids, and the waitress said to her that "she would seat her whenvever". with a "snobbish" tone. Bad, very bad for business. I love their waffle fries they're perfectly saltly every food item on the menu is delicious, and the servers are nice and respectful, the mood is calming, the style is Fabulous and, I'd recommend anyone who likes waffle fries and or salt, best to come here! read more

Went there Sunday. The place is very dirty very greasy wasn't very busy. There was a dirty table behind me that was dirty the whole time I sat and ate, the manager, walked by it twice all the waitresses walked by it. The carpet in the place needs to be replaced like five years ago, food was all right but I do not enjoy a dirty place so will not be returning. Home carpets needed vacuuming, majorly. Even if the manager would walk by with one of those little vacuums, it would look like he's trying. It's time for Bob Evans to step up and put some new carpet in it and may be a new management. read more

They refuse to serve African Americans. My husband and I waited at our table for over an hour for service. All white customers kept getting service, even large families that came in AN HOUR after us. All tables around us that had caucasian patrons got their orders taken. Our table was left in racist silence. The bigots here refused to allow us to eat anything. After being passed over for 90 minutes at our table because of skin color, we left. We will be going to the media about this. read more

The Bob Evans in Holland is better than most. Their service is great because they have excellent managers who pitch in with others on the team during busy times. Like many restaurants, they too are short staffed, but that often goes unnoticed because their employees work well together. Their food is consistently tasty and made to order. We often choose Holland's Bob Evans over other local restaurants because we know we will receive good food, decent portions and great service at an affordable price. read more

Terrible service! Refused my family of 13 tables. We called prior and they said due to COVID we would have to be split up, which was not a problem at all. We were willing to all be spread out. Upon entering they told us their policy recently changed and they wouldn't seat a family or more than 10. After telling them we called before arriving they said I was informed wrong and they wouldn't seat us. I said what would be the difference if we first walked in as a family of 3 then 5 then another 5. The host responded with "its just our policy, it would be different" their logic and "said policy" made absolutely no sense. As we voiced trying to understand why we were being denied service. A family of 5 in front of us agreed that this policy was not logical. My family was flat out refused service with no logical reasoning. Dinner time is not the best time to go. Service is so slow that I finished one cup of pop before getting my appetizer. The food was good it was fresh and they were very polite. The price wasn't high for all the food we got we will be back.

Was in Holland for a meetup, my fiance really wanted to come out since he hadn't been to a Bob Evans since he lived in Georgia. I was pleasantly surprised! The waitress was so incredibly nice, and funny! The coffee was really good, and I was able to get enough good food that worked with my diet so I was very happy. Fiance got a big stack of pancakes, bacon, and eggs. Our potatoes were underdone, the waitress was very apologetic and took care of it right away. We went pretty early in the day, so we really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was fairly busy, but still quiet. read more

I have never had a worst experience at Bob Evens then I did this morning. When we arrived it was busy so I knew there would be a wait. When I told the hostess Louren my name and how many they just wrote it down and said nothing else. I said we would wait outside since there was no room to wait inside. We waited over 30mins and I realized everyone that was there before us we're already seated AND everyone that had come in since we had been waiting had also been seated. It was insane. When I asked why, I was ment with I don't know and I'll add you back to the bottom of the list. This location clearly needs to train their own employees better. read more

I have always enjoyed going to Bob Evans in the past but the one in Holland was the worst place that I've been. It wasn't the service or the food, but when the carpeting it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 10 years or more. Cleanliness should be a priority. I first have to compliment our waitress. I don't remember her name, but she was the most happy and positive waitress I've ever had! She was so accommodating and friendly and kind. If it wasn't for her, this visit would've been a total fail. Now the food: I ordered a chicken fried steak and it was so hard that when I went to cut it half the steak flew off my plate. Our waitress kindly replaced it, but the second one wasn't much better. I don't know how long it had been sitting in the kitchen, but it was horrible and the taste wasn't that good either. I thought I would order strawberry pie as that's my favorite, thinking that would at least end dinner on a positive note. My piece of strawberry pie literally had three strawberries on it. Lots of whip cream, but only three strawberries. I never in my life of ever seen a piece of strawberry pie with only three strawberries. It was delicious, but I would not call it a piece of pie. I hope management sees us and does better because unfortunately we won't be back for dinner, because the food was just not good. I've eaten at several Bob Evans across the country and I've never had an experience like this one. We went on a Sunday around 1:00 and it was a 45 minute wait. Our server was very nice but i ordered buttermilk pancakes and once i got them, they were kind of burnt. I checked them and one of them looked like it was moldy or had blueberries on it, yet i couldn't find any actual blueberries in it. The service is friendly, and we were seated right away. I got the Border Scramble omelet with a side of gravy to try the biscuits with. It was all just ok. I felt like the food could have been packaged for like consumption for the microwave. Like when I go shop in the refrigerated or frozen food section and pulled it out of the package that's kind of what it looked like served to me. Next year staff correctly and maybe turn off the phone and deal with all the guests you have in house this is our third year doin thanksgiving with bob evans will skip it next year. My pot roast and biscuits on the side were delicious. My friend had the country fried steak and said it was good but the gravy was sub-par. Once in a while we hit up a chain restaurant... and everytime, reminded why we don't go often. We popped in for a late brunch around 12:30 - I do like that they have a gluten free breakfast and they serve all day - both big reasons we went. July 5, kind of a busy day for a Friday lunch - everyone's on vacation. after a 5 minute wait, we were seated by our hostess who was a little frazzled... but still very nice and took hosting serious. We sat in the corner, my husband and I took in the environment as it's been over 10 years since either of us has been to a Bob Evans - cute, cheerful colours, lots of pictures making it look like a cafe / bistro setting... although unique... it's likely the same at all Bob Evans.And it was loud! We were quickly greeted by our server, who appeared to be very rushed and busy... she took our drink order. And we waited. And waited. Another server stopped by and greeted us with 'you guys' to see if we'd been helped - she seemed nice, but was very loud with all her tables yet she served them all quickly. Our server returned with our drinks, forgetting part of our order and not bringing enough straws. She took our order called us "hun" a few times... (also annoying, unless you have a southern belle accent or you are my grandma). The food arrived... delivered by the loud server, our server popped by to make sure her 'huns' were ok... she did leave a pot of coffee on the table after refilling my husbands. It was Half full, so not sure if it was for us or not... but he used it... When our server cleared our plates, she set a stack of dirty plates from another table on our table to load up her hands with our dishes too- and to retrieve our bill. We paid at the front in the deli / take out area... checked out the restrooms... which you have to wind though, servers trying to work and tables coming and going in a tiny area... the bathrooms were standard, clean... so no biggie. Then we left... we both agreed the food was good but the price for two breakfasts... not to mention almost $3 for a pop = we won't be running back to a bob evans any time soon... maybe in ten years, when we forget about this experience. read more

I ordered my usual breakfast platter. I was a little shocked that the waiter asked if I wanted a cup or a bowl of gravy as no other Bob Evans has asked that. Service was great, the waiter was very polite and prompt with service. The food was spot on to what I expect from a Bob Evans. Also, the demeanor of all of the employee's was quite delightful.
