Probably the worst Bob Evan's I have eaten at. Our waitress was scatterbrained. It took almost 45 minutes to get our food. By the time we got it most of it wasn't hot. We watched one of our plates sit on the server counter for a while. The onion rings and fried chicken were over cooked. The 2 chicken breasts were barely bigger than the saltines. We just had the best experience at Bob Evan's. The service was perfection!!!! The steak tips with mashed potatoes and broccoli was so delicious!!!!! I walked out of there so happy and full. I picked up carry out breakfast on 11/8 @ 9:30 a.m. (Order # 30906656585711617). The Original Farmers Choice was really good (4 stars). However, the sevice was poor (0 stars). So overall, 2 stars. There was a tag stapled to the bag that stated the order was checked & complete (it included thei tems in my order). But my pancakes were not included, so I had to go back to get them. I suggest you ditch applying the tag & instead have employees use the time to actually check the order is complete. Confirming a carry out/delivery order is correct should be a fundamental step. read more

Everything from the forty minute wait to the sausage gravy that was served with a skin on it to the hash"whites" was bad. The only thing edible on my plate was the bacon and two poorly made eggs. This was a very bad experience. Bob is going to get at least a one year timeout. Ick! Hash Browns. It's in the name. I was served hash whites. I was told they can't brown the hash browns because the grill would get too hot and mess up the meat. Although the grill has localized burners, so the cook is just bad. read more

The sever Ava was not so good. She keep reg in wrong orders and the manager had to keep re make wrong food. I understand be short staffed by wait for and hour for food was not cool. This is obviously a pretty popular restaurant as there's tons across the country but something has got to be said for their sausage gravy. It's the only reason I venture out to this location. The atmosphere is very chain like, but again, when you come in with this expectation it fits what you are provided. They serve their drinks in a smaller mason jar which is in par with their down home country feel they are trying to portray. It gets pretty crowded on Saturday and Sunday mornings with the breakfast crowd, but I've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes. They have a wide range of breakfast meals from meat heavy to cinnamon pancakes. They also have healthy options: egg whites, wheat toast, side of fruit etc. It should provide everyone in your group an option. This is a good staple to put in your rotation when you are needing something familiar. read more

Wife & I went there for dinner this evening at approx. 4:45pm. We were seated and had our orders taken promptly. Our waitress seemed nice. I ordered a salad with a sweet tea and my wife ordered a BLT with fries and a Pepsi. Our drinks came pretty quickly... then we waited. There weren't too many other customers in the place. After waiting 25 minutes (in which time our waitress never came back to our table) we decided to leave. I paid for the drinks. So, I can't tell you what the food was like because we didn't get any. Also, the place needs a good cleaning. There is dried food splattered on the walls and the floor was filthy. I don't know if they were short-staffed or what. Perhaps if our waitress had told us that something was going on we would've been more patient. When we left our food still wasn't in the server's window (if it had been there I would've paid for it). We live about a mile from this place but we won't be going back. read more

We went to Bob Evans in Franklin IN, we waited over 30 minutes and in that time they didn't seat 1 person... they totally ignored arriving guests, as well as those trying to pay!! They had plenty of staff, one server even went outside to smoke a cigarette, which she didn't even wash her hands when she came back in and started touching food items. It was at this point we left. Service stinks at this restaurant, servers act like they're doing you a favor waiting on you. stopped in to pick up a carry out and 4 servers were over by the drink machine just shooting the breeze while I stood there waiting to be helped for five minutes when I finally did get waited on I asked if everything was correct in the bag and they're like oh yeah so I peeked in and no bread should have looked a little harder because when I got home wrong food. went back a couple weeks later and ate inside and once again server acted like she was doing me a favor waiting on me and then when my food was wrong again I politely asked to get it corrected and she did but then she never came back to the table again. this Bob Evans has gone downhill I won't be going back. read more

I am starting to have a real fondness for Bob Evans. They do family meals well. When we want to eat with our kids, there are places that are rising to the top foe being understanding and accommodating for children. "Do you want us to bring out the kids food right away?" Why yes! Greeted as soon as I walked in the door. Seated within about 1 min after arrival. Ordered food, didn't have to wait long. Food was very good and wait staff did a very good job. After cashing out, I asked for a Manager so I could pass along my feelings on such good service. Cashier went looking for Manager and came back and apologized and said Manager was too busy to be bothered by customers. When we got our bill I thought it was a joke. My wife and I (just the two of us) had breakfast at the Franklin location, nothing special, eggs, bacon, biscuits, coffee and the bill was over $40!!! YES, FORTY DOLLARS!!! I asked the manager if it was right and he showed me an itemized bill! I've eaten at places where I've had drinks and didn't pay this much. It's bacon and eggs, Bob!
