Bob came over to replace two window screens our cats had destroyed. He recommended a stronger screen made to resist pet clawing. When he delivered the new screens he wasn't satisfied with how they fit so he went back and made two newer ones. That's a credit to his professionalism and ethics. My dog put a hole through my window screen and while attempting to fix the screen, I completely broke the cheap plastic frame. I took the dimensions of my window (not the screen) to Bob Briton's Screen Service and was tactfully and professionally corrected on my error. I went home and came back with the corrected size. The slider to our west facing deck is over 20 years old and the screen was very worn and needed replacing. I called the company who had installed it and they were no help and neither was Milgard. Fantastic service, period. I have a cat that decided to do his Kool-Aid man impression on a sliding patio screen door. I spoke to Cathy on a Saturday to inquire about repairing the screen. She provided me with a fair estimate and asked I bring the door in so they could take a look at it. Long story short, I was prepared to pay the full tilt for the screen replacement. When Cathy called for me to pick it up, she told me they were able to use and reinstall the current screen on the frame and resecure it using larger hardware. The cost was substantially less than what I was ready to pay. They even stand behind their product, as I was told that if the screen doesn't remain secure, they'll count what I paid for the repair towards a complete replacement. I ordered a custom sliding screen door. I was assured this was a "top of the line, high quality, heavy duty" sliding screen door. It wasn't. I picked it up and installed it on Monday and the door didn't fit, in fact it was falling apart as I installed it. The frame was coming apart, the screen mesh was loose and the wheels for the track wouldn't work. I called the owner that very moment and had to leave a message. Never got a return call. I called the following day. They wanted to charge me to have someone come out and take a look, which was never mentioned when I ordered it. I just paid $$$ for a custom screen and now I have to pay more. I tried to get them to meet me half way, I will pay for half of the service fee. She declined and offered no further resolution. So I returned the door. I asked for a refund. They were rude and disrespectful. They wouldn't return my old screen until I threatened to call the cops. read more
