Bob Bailey's Appliance (BBA), was where I purchased our Thermodore refrigerator last year. They were reasonable to work with, in line with other places I checked, but as a plus for me, they had in-house install team. Installation went well, personnel were on time and with the correct appliance (yes, this was an issue with another company). For that I would have given them 3 stars. Fast forward 6 months and the display on the drawer quit working. I called them to find out how to arrange the warranty repair. They asked if it was an emergency (i.e., was the unit not cooling) and I said no. I was told not to worry, they had the address, and I would receive an email with a repair date and the option to change it if it was inconvenient. The next day I received the email for an appointment the next week. The repair person came on time, quickly repaired the unit, and cleaned up before he left. That type of service is 5 star! I consider I received great value for the money I spent with them and will buy future kitchen appliances from them. read more

Kelly was helpful and pleasant. I purchased 4 expensive appliances for my renovation. However, a salesman in the office said I needed a make up air kit for my Zephyr hood. It was added to my order. Upon installation, my HVAV subcontractor said it was not needed or required. I tried to return it and they refused to take the unopened box back. They said it was a special order. It was ordered because the salesman said I needed it. I asked to have the manager call me to discuss the issue and received no return phone call. Now I have an expensive part I cannot use. They sell these vent hoods every week. It's unfathomable that they can't take it back and use for someone who actually requires it. I am sure it could have been returned even if there was a restocking fee, but that was not offered to me. I would not do business with them! Now that I am in the market for a new dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave, I will use Howard Payne Appliances and hope I have better experience! read more

Stay away from Bob Bailey's! After they installed a defective $17k SubZero refrigerator (it never cooled) AND left a10 ft scratch on my hardwood floors, the manager repeatedly argued that it did work after install and there was no way they would replace it. No apology, no 'what can we do to make this right?' He was only interested in bullying me to accept the defective fridge and denying that my floors were damaged due to the install - 'it was the hand truck' (as if the hand truck did it on its own!) 'they do this all day, every day and it never happens so there must be something with your floors...' (again, as if that matters!) So rude! The install guy tried to rub them out, took pictures, included them in his report, and even said to talk to the manager and they will 'chip in' to the cost of fixing them. But no, not this manager! All he would do is schedule a technician the next day...who had to 'reprogram' the unit. Why would a brand new unit need to be reprogrammed, and after paying $17k why would anyone in their right mind agree to keep it?? It cooled for a few hours then stopped. Finally the manager agreed to speak to Subzero, but continued to push back on the floors. After several days and a long frustrating conversation with him giving excuse after excuse and telling me all the things they would NOT do, acting as if I was trying to screw them (again, no apology, no attitude of 'sorry you've had to deal with this') he said they might do something - I knew it would be next to nothing and I said don't bother, the aggravation of dealing with him is not worth it. The true test of a good company is not how they sell a good product when everything goes as planned - the real test is how they act when things don't go as planned. Great purchase experience with Spike. Fulgor-Milano range, refrigerator and dishwasher as well as a Tradewind hood vent insert. Spike was knowledgeable and personable. After sales service from Bob Bailey's is very lacking or nonexistent. I should not have accepted damaged appliances but felt comfortable being told that Ann at Bob Bailey's would assist me through the repair process since appliance damage is covered under warranty repairs. I found out that the customer is basically on their own if they accept damaged items. I purchased new, which I thought meant not damaged, appliances. My appliances are pretty and function as hoped but I also received 10 weeks of frustration waiting for repairs. I asked for a new refrigerator to be delivered but according to Spike, Mr. Bailey did not want to go that route. Not impressed! Big Box stores do a better job with after sales service. read more

Do NOT deal with Bob Bailey's Appliance, Inc. (or buy Jenn-Air products). We bought a $2,700 Jenn-Air range from them that on day one (1) would not heat to 350 degrees and (2) during the "new stove burn off" it tripped our breaker two times. This was due to the wiring being installed incorrectly. Because we signed the paperwork to let the installers leave before knowing these two things we are stuck with it. Neither company will replace the range that had to wait to be repaired before it could ever be used. We've given them WEEKS to please replace it. Bob Bailey's Came Through - My 30 year-old ULINE bar refrigerator recently met its maker. I decided on replacement rather than repair. Since it was reliable for so long, I thought I would look for a new ULINE. Bob Bailey's Appliances in Stone Mtn, is one of only a handful of ULINE dealers in the Atlanta area. I paid them a visit. Jen, the sales rep that I met helped me select a suitable under-counter bar fridge replacement. One catch - my wife was planning a party and I needed the unit in 10 days. Jen said she would do what she could to have it available in their distribution center by the Friday before the party. On Wednesday, Jen called to say it was on the truck to be delivered. Sure enough, the fridge was ready for me to pick up on Friday, as promised. I received three calls from the team at Bob Bailey's to let me know that my refrigerator was ready to be picked up, including a text message from Jen, who was off that day. We placed an order for new KitchenAid appliances in Oct 2021. Yes we ordered product during COVID, but given an ETA two months out. No problem. Once Bob Bailey had our money communication stopped. We had to call our sales rep to multiple times to get a delivery status. Did not receive range until Jan. 2022 and refig. until Apr 2022. Found out that our order kept being pushed out to fill Commercial accounts. Since receiving the units we have made three service calls on the range and one on the refig. read more

I would never purchase or recommend Bob Bailey's again. My husband went and bought a stove from them and when they installed it they broke the granite around it and glued it back and didn't tell us. They left. Big gap between the stove and wall. The stove cooks unevenly and very hot. The microwave we got from them has faulty wiring after only a few months. After extensive reviewing for a place to purchase a new Speed Queen washer/dryer set, I finally decided on this place. My initial contact with them was encouraging, and I was told that the delivery for this would not be for about 3 weeks due to demand and back order of the product, and I was set up for a delivery date based on this information. They took all my money up front, which I was initially fine with, based on the delivery date I was initially given. I did not receive any calls about the progress of fulfilling my order until finally, the day before my scheduled delivery date, I had to call them only to find out that it would not be delivered the next day as promised. It's a good thing I had called as I had arranged to have the day off, which would have been a huge waste of my time. A new delivery date was not given, and so I had to initiate requests (every time) to try and get some idea of when I might get what I ordered which I paid a lot of money up front for. Finally, 7 weeks later (4 weeks later), my delivery was made. The delivery guy(s) seemed to be very knowledgeable and helpful. I liked them. After installation, I discovered a defect in the washer before they left. The inside of the washer tub was delaminated and etched from what appeared to be rust from water that had been left there to sit - probably from testing the appliance and not draining it good. I caught it before the delivery guy left so he put me in touch with the salesman who sold it to me. He kind of him-hawed around and said, well, we could talk to the boss and see what he says. Getting a replacement was out of the question because of the back order situation. He also reluctantly said they might be able to offer some sort of compensation. That was the last I heard about anything to do with my expensive purchase. He never did follow through, try and call me back to see what I thought or anything. So, I am giving then 2 stars for what I perceive as bad Customer Service due to a total lack of communication - both in keeping me updated on the delivery status, and the resulting defect that I found after delivery. I understand things happen like delays, etc. What I don't understand is the total lack of communication regarding anything - I had to initiate it ALL. I just felt like, once they had my money up front like they asked, I was low priority now - time to snag the next customer. It's a shame - I had higher hopes for them as I have an upcoming kitchen remodel where I intend on getting all new appliances. I would have gladly given them my business had things turned out different, but I'm glad I found out before I forked over a bunch more money. Back to square one, I guess. read more

Every single appliance we purchased from them (4 total) has had an issue within the first 6 months. When you call they're really nice but explain that they don't fix anything. So then you're forced to deal with outside appliance people that really have no skin in the game. It's frustrating to say the least. read more

We went to Baileys to get appliances for a client and the sales part of the process was great. We received quotes and all information needed at the moment. We paid for our appliances to be installed because we purchased high end so we wanted certified installers. The installation was far from good. the appliances were not installed correctly, they damaged brand new floors and backsplash and they did not even complete the installation. We contacted Mr. Bailey (sales person was never available to answer phone or email) he took no ownership even after pictures were submitted so we ended up paying another installer and fixing the damaged goods totaling over $1,200.00 I am a designer and will not take my business back to Bob Baileys nor will I recommend him for business. read more

After strolling through the store to find our own way, a very nice lady from the back of the store, Shannon, greeted us and provided answers to our questions. I found this place looking for Jenn Air dealers. I saw the google reviews and particularly about Nick. It was big gamble for me to buy something $$$$ over the phone by just looking at company reviews and feedback (yelp seemed have a different story but I took a chance). Nick was just brilliant form start to end. Placing the order was easy enough over the phone, the delivery and installation, very impressed with the quality of materials used to install the appliances. What blew me away was Nicks professionalism and understanding. I had to reschedule delivery ATLEAST 4 times because my countertop guys had issues. He supported me all the way through and even recommended someone else to handle the counter tops as a backup option who also quite cooperative. I couldn't be happier with Nick or Bob Baileys. They delivered on a separate day and then handled installation, after rescheduling 4 more times from my side, on time and perfectly. Totally recommend them - all this while never having stepped into actual store and doing it all over phone and email. read more

If I could give a minus star, I would. I am pretty easy going even when something goes wrong. I get it, it happens. My family was in the appliance business for a really long time (not in this area) so I've seen the complaints, I know what it's like to have people upset, especially when it is out of one's control. We purchased 3 appliances from Bob Bailey's. First, I should have walked away after talking to the sales rep. (and I should have written down all the things he said I don't know to or just skimmed by. Right now, all I can say is I remember thinking he should know this. One of them though was how to hook up the steam oven if you buy the plummed version. We did and we said many times we were going to install it and use the plumbing for the refrigerator (ice maker). He said sure! Well, once we bought it and had a plumber come out, the plumber said we can't use the refrigerator, we have to have a drain for it. (Maybe I should have known this but I've never bought a steam oven before). So we either had to pay a lot to have the plumber connect in to the sewage drain or we had to move the oven. So, we moved where we were going to install it. Had the rep told us in buying it that we couldn't hook it to the refrigerator water line, we at least would have had things done right the first time. Or not purchased the plumbed version of the oven. So that wasn't even my biggest issue. We arranged for delivery of the appliances for January 7, as they don't deliver on Saturdays. Not sure how people who work at an office get stuff delivered! On the 7th, they bring the appliances and alas, the range is severely damaged. It won't work and they never take it off the truck. Yes, I was very disappointed but I get it, not like they did it on purpose. The delivery guys install the dishwasher and the steam oven. This takes time. I expected a call from the sales rep, letting us know what was happening with our stove and when we would get a replacement. We never got a call. We called him and his answer was "Well, the delivery guys told you it was damaged, what do I need to call you for?" Hmmmm, maybe the fact that we dropped a lot of money on these appliances could have warranted a call saying "I'm really sorry about this, I'm working on the replacement, I'll let you know asap when the replacement is coming." My husband called and asked to speak to the manager (owner or owner's brother) and his reaction was the same! He really didn't care that we had no stove and could not cook (we had already turned off the 220 outlet for the oven and couldn't put back our original). He told us to use the steam oven. (Perhaps we could have but this was to new to us and had --still has--a learning curve). He said they were working on the replacement. The owner called back later that day to say that we might be able to get a replacement by Thursday. Okay, that's fine I guess, but what are we to do till then? Finally, he calls back and offers a loaner stove. Thursday comes and goes without a call. Really? You can't call and provide an update? WHY????? I call and they blame the delay on the manufacturer. Finally, on Saturday, Bob Bailey's call and state that we should have a new stove on Thursday--10 days after the original delivery date. My biggest issue wasn't the damaged stove. I get it, these things happen. But, they should have been calling us to let us know status. I should have received a replacement stove within 2-3 days. It was a total inconvenience to have my house pushed to the side to allow for the delivery (we had to move our furniture and carpets out of the way, no point in moving it back and then out of the way again. I've received better service for a less than $1000.00 appliance from the Sears outlet store! I feel like Bob Bailey's could care less, they had my money, I can't return the product so why should they do anything for me. I really wish we would have just walked out when we went to buy the appliances, waited and bought them somewhere else. read more

My wife and I were referred to Bob Bailey' Appliance and went in to the store today looking for a refrigerator. We walk all thru to see what models they had on the floor. There were 4 staff people behind the counter and no other customers in the store. Not one of greeted us, and after we walked thru the store, we still were not acknowledged. I walk to the counter and stood there few a couple of minutes and was still ignored. 2 of the staff were talking about cats and sharing pics and the others had their heads down while paying no attention to customers. I am 6'5" and 295lbs, pretty difficult to not notice me. Since no one wanted to talk to us, we left the store. As we walked out the door, it chimed, I looked back and still no one looked up. Listen, I am generally easy-going and give a benefit of the doubt and all, but I have to tell you, these guys have been over-the-top in every aspect for us. I can't say enough about the experience we have had with them. It has probably been top 3 in my (rather long) lifetime of retail experiences. We're remodeling and replacing a lot, so this took time and effort. Bobby gave us that time, listened to our needs and did NOT try to up-sell anything (even suggested a lower-priced item in one case). We had competitive numbers, and all but one item was less than the best we'd seen. When I presented that price and said we'd like to buy it all from them, they met it. We have had stops and starts on the project (typical), and they have been extremely flexible with us. They've even had to ship in three trips, which they have done with zero complaints or flak. And the guys who have delivered have been equally pleasant and more than helpful. This is how business should be done! (BTW, I am marking as "pricey" because they are high-end, in general, and that is how we were shopping. Again, though, they were very competitive within that segment.) read more

This is a nice neighborhood appliance store that we shopped as an alternative to big chains such as Lowes. After all isn't it important to support community stores?? Well all that is great thought if the service is also on par or better than what you get from the impersonal big stores. The sales people were very helpful and attentive to our needs. We bought a great cooktop. After that it has been downhill. The store approved installer, Tim McKinsey, took his own sweet time showing up to the install. Although he was late, he did a great job in the initial install so we had him also fix our dishwasher and kitchen lights. The real problems started after that. We upgraded our countertop to a granite countertop. We called up Bob Bailey and they recommended using their installer, Tim. Since we had good experiences with Tim we were happy going down that route. Tim came in and installed the cooktop after the countertop was replaced-- but incorrectly. Since then we have called him about a dozen times and have one call returned. In frustration we called Bob Bailey and they told me this morning (12/12/14) that the issue is now on "tim's radar" and he will call shortly. Why it was not on "tim's radar" already is beyond me. I called Tim after that message from Bob Bailey's and guess what-- no response. If Bob Bailey wants to differentiate themselves from the bigger competitors it has to be through excellent customer service. They certainly cannot on price since they don't have the same leverage that big box chains do. But my experience with Bob Bailey has, on the whole, been less than satisfactory. I gave two stars because of the positive experiences at the beginning of the transaction. Otherwise I would have given one star. I hope Bob Bailey steps up and deals with the flaky support service soon. Otherwise we will certainly start looking for alternatives for our future needs...and we certainly will not be recommending them to our friends and family. read more

I have used Bob Bailey's over the years as my appliances needed replacing. I bought a Maytag Bravos washer less than 5 years ago with Bob Bailey's recommendation. The washer began leaking recently. The estimated repairs were $900. I called Bob Bailey's. They very politely told me they would contact their Maytag rep and get back to me. I have now called 4 times and each time it is the same with no call back. Even if they could not get Maytag to compensate me a call back is just good customer service. They have been stellar when buying a new appliance with no issues. But this is poor customer service and I will not use them again. read more

Our Maytag drier died suddenly over the weekend. On Monday, the appliance repair guy said that drier would cost more to repair that it worth. He mentioned that Speed Queen makes the most reliable appliances now. My wife started checking around. I hit the web for dealers and found Bob Bailey's Appliances. Called and got Jimmy, who initially quoted me a price lower than what my wife found and they had it in stock, no waiting. I was nervous about dealing over the phone, but went ahead and paid for the drier. They called Thursday to confirm , and they delivered and installed it in my Roswell home on Friday morning, just like they said they would. No muss, no drama, no headaches. Very pleased with the transaction, and called them back to check on the price for the washer, just to know. read more

Installation issues! They installed 7 appliances for us and 5 of them had installation issues. When I contacted Bob Bailey's about each individual problem, all they did was place warranty service calls with the manufacturers. Then I had to wait a couple weeks just to get on the service companies schedule. Instead, Bob Bailey's should have come back out to correct the install problem. Basically, they installed our products, got the full payment check and then washed their hands of us. Not the customer service I would expect from a company that has been around this long. Not to mention I spent a small fortune on all of these products! Disappointing! I would NOT recommend having them install anything! :( read more

We purchased our appliances from Bob Baileys a year before we were able to install them in our renovated kitchen. They stored them for us and were so flexible when we had to keep changing our installation date. I have recommended to my friends and family that are upgrading their appliances that if you want great service, great prices and to support a local business~ this is the place to go.
