Bitter & Sweet Experience…read more I called Mr. V's Appliance Repair and was pleasantly surprised that they were able to come out the same day--within about 2-3 hours of my call. That level of responsiveness earned them the first 2 stars. The technician, George, repaired my dryer. I wasn't thrilled about the cost of the repair, but I paid it. As a woman, I hate feeling like I may have been taken advantage of. Before he left, I tested the dryer and it seemed to be working. The following week, I washed clothes again and to my surprise the dryer stopped working after about 10 minutes. I called them back and once again received fast, courteous service. They came out the same day--this time within an hour--and it was George again. I appreciated that the same technician returned and that he repaired the dryer at no additional cost. That earned them 2 more stars. For reference, my dryer is only 3 years old. And now...the last star has officially been earned because I was able to put my clothes in the dryer and it's still running past the 10‑minute mark. Fingers crossed it's completely repaired now. Our Kitchen Aid fridge quit cooling Saturday. Had a tech from Castleberry's come by today…read more Checked unit and reset the computer and unit is now cooling. He told me to let it cool for 24 hours before using and keep an eye on it for a week or so. These new units are apparently very sensitive to changes in electrical current, such as caused by lightning. Also they don't last like the ones we bought in the 70s or 80s! I've always had great service from Castleberry's and would hope anyone who hasn't would give them the opportunity to make it right.

I have overlooked their high prices in the past, telling myself 'but I'm supporting small business'. Not this small business. Not any longer. Today was the last straw. Our dishwasher had stopped washing dishes; it ran, but things were not coming out clean. The 'technician' who arrived was not courteous, polite or kind. I won't give his full name but it begins with an E. Still, I figured people have bad days, things happen in their life, OK. He wasn't Sonny Sunshine today, so what? After some time he said it was the motor that wasn't functioning well, so the water wasn't getting full force. "A new motor assembly is $170". As I tried to run through the numbers of whether it made sense to fix this one or buy new, he says "Oh NO, it's $350 FIXED, $170 is just for the part!". His tone was very rude, and I almost declined to have it fixed, but knew I'd pay a scathing service charge. So I decided to fix the dishwasher. He left. I should have heeded my gut warning to never have him or Castleberry's back in my home again. Ah, hindsight is 20/20... In fairness, I will say that the part did arrive quickly, and he returned in 2 days to install it. Which is where things went downhill... As he's getting things set up, he says he needs to turn off the breaker to the dishwasher to fix it. I inform him that the electrician who installed our new breaker panel hadn't labeled it yet. He *lost* it. "Are you kidding me?? Of course they didn't....now I have to go through them all and it will take longer.." He then LITERALLY fell back and laid down on the floor on his back with his arms at his side, complaining all the while. He then hauls himself up angrily and at this point I take a step back as I am physically afraid. My son stood nearby, watching, scared. I screamed at the kids to get out of the room - I almost sent them outside as I did become physically afraid for us. He was acting like a large, violent child. I offered to have him return another day after I could get the panel labeled. He did not hear, or understand, as he just yelled "If I pull this thing out and it's connected to power, I will get electrocuted, the power needs to be shut off!!" No sh#@, Sherlock, I am aware of that. And you clearly did not listen to me. Afraid though I was, he was escalating and I did not feel like being treated like this anymore. As he continued ranting, I informed him (in a loud voice) that I was sorry this situation was so upsetting to him, but it is not my problem, nor should he be yelling at me. I may have screamed back at him, as if he WAS a child, to do his job. (A wave of confidence and bravery had overtaken me and I was going with it). Something got through to him, because he got it together and calmed down after that. He was not nice, or courteous - he never was - but he was no longer yelling at me. The job was finished rather quickly, and we can only hope it works. And if it doesn't, honestly I wouldn't call these people back anyway. I want to call them or go into the store to report this travesty, but with the holiday weeks coming up that may prove difficult. If I get anymore response, I will update.

The representative there referred me to me to a contact at Sewell Appliances in Sandy Springs to make the purchases. I was shown nothing but patience and kindness until I purchased over 35k in appliances. That's where the exceptional customer service ended. The representative that I worked with never sent the specs for the items I purchased and definitely never pointed out the different nuances that had to be accounted for with the items I purchased. For example the plug for the refrigerator had to be at the top right hand corner of the wall to successfully install. Nevertheless, on the day of delivery, the young men walked in and started pointing out a host of items that had to be corrected before installing. They told me this happens all the time and that I was the third unsuccessful installation for them that day. I'm not surprised when no one has taken the time to detail these items to the consumer. We made the adjustments and rescheduled installation. The second pair of Sewell workers came and installed everything and just packed up and left while I was still in my bedroom. I came out to find that plastic was still covering the entire front of the refrigerator . I turned on the propane range and none of the burners worked so that told me they didn't even see if the appliances were working. I'm thoroughly disappointed and shocked with the subpar customer service receptor this company and will never purchase subzero, wolf or coven products from them again.

Do not buy from this place! They do not stand behind their product!!!!! They sold our builder…read moreFrigidaire appliances but when they malfunctioned they said they don't service that brand!
