I have a 2005 Suzuki outboard on my Pontoon Boat. In 2009 it failed to start. Took it to a Dealer in my town. They messed with it for 6 weeks and got nowhere. I found Boaters Exchange in the Yellow Pages. Called them, explained my problem to Jerry, he said bring her down and we will get her running. I took it down and the following day Jerry called me and told me what was wrong, he also did more by calling Suzuki to see if I had warranty left on the motor! I thought it had run out, he saved me over $500 dollars out off pocket for these repairs! I have had Boaters Exchange do other preventive maintenance since and have been very satisfied. A few weeks ago after having overheating issues I took it down to Jerry. Told him what was going on, he looked in his records and saw that they had done a preventive water pump and thermostat service three months prior. He said he would diagnose the problem at no charge and if it was their mistake, he would take care of it. Two days later he called me and asked if the motor had been out of service for awhile, I told him it was not run for two months. He informed me that Mud Dobbers had built nest inside the water passages, and restricted the water flow causing the overheating issue. He still waived the labor for the diagnostic time. They spent several hours flushing this engine, and I am sure he didn't charge me for all the time it took. He recommended another water pump service due to the build up in it. I took his word for it by saying "do what you think it needs". He got it done and the following week I took two of my sons on a three day trip up the St Johns river for their birthday. We were very confident that this motor was repaired to "like new condition", and we had no problems with it. I am very happy with Jerry and all his staff. Jerry is very knowledgable, he explains everything in full detail what we can expect might be wrong before any repair. I am a customer for life! In the near future I am looking to trade this Boat for another one. I am sure the Sales Staff at Boaters Exchange will be as helpful for my purchase, so I don't plan on shopping any place else. FIRST CLASS OPERATION, I recently purchased a 2018 Everglades 243cc and I can't be more pleased with my experience. Mitch was our salesman. He was knowledgeable, responsive, and very attentive throughout the entire process. His patience through my order process as we continued to change little items, here and there was impressive. I was not the easiest person to deal with, constantly texting, asking questions, he always answered and was there for us throughout. He got a factory tour set up for us so we could see our boat being built, which I highly recommend for anyone buying an Everglades! He invited us to the boat show in Orlando, the dealership invited us to their VIP party night before their expo. We are loving our boat, coming out of a Ranger that was like pulling teeth to get warranty work done and never getting response from sales team and service at Sundance. I bought a new Nautic Star from Boater's Exchange in February and am really happy with the boat and Boater's Exchange. Aaron was my salesman and I really liked working with him. I had started talking to him almost a year ago and he was both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about boats, but never pushy - he never tried to sell me a boat just because they had it in stock. I also liked the Paul the sales manager. I felt like he dealt with me fairly and honestly on my trade-ins and the purchase. When I couldn't decide between two boats, he didn't have any problem with putting both in the water for me to sea trial before making a decision. I also have to say I was really impressed with the customer service from Jerry in the service department. When I casually inquired about getting guide-ons for the trailer from the manufacturer, he said he would have to call them to check on pricing and let me know. I did not expect him to call me ten minutes later, I wasn't even home yet. Jerry ordered them and had them there in two days along with the trolling motor I wanted. One of his guys even called me on the day in between just to let me know they were on the way. That's great service. At some point, I talked to all the sales guys and they were all great. We have been looking for a jet boat for awhile now, met with a couple other dealers closer to us (St. Augustine) and we just didn't like the way we felt they were taking advantage of us and just making us feel dirty as we left. In our final attempt we came across Boaters Exchange in hopes we could feel good about making such a big purchase with people we feel we could trust. I have a 28' Buddy Davis with two 250 HP Verados on it and I have had a problem with other repair shops in the area. I had my boat at Abaco Boat Repair which is located in the Boaters Exchange yard and asked if they could work on the Verados. After being told yes, I scheduled my boat in because I was having trouble keeping the starboard engine running. They trouble shot it and found that the lift pump was intermittent and gave me an estimate to fix it. I okayed the estimate and by the weekend I was back on the water. The boat runs great nd I will use them for all of my repairs in the future. Jerry was very helpful and explained everything that was done in a thorough manner. Bought a new 250 SHO and got rid of my 225 optimax. Paul, who sold it to me was not at all pushy and was very informative. In the beginning I was going to get another Merc, but was so amazed by the Yamaha that the choice was simple and the price excellent. Jerry helped me do a complete make over on my boat and completely rewired it from stem to stern. He was super friendly and very informative and had a lot of creative ideas that were often better than mine. Any time you spend at Boaters exchange will be well spent. The folks at Boater's Exchange rock! I had a carburetor issue with my 9.8 H.P. Tohatsu Motor and the owner, Jerry Butz, greatly helped me get my problem resolved. Since I have somewhat limited mobility due to arthritis, Jerry had one of his crew come to my home and pick up the 115 pound motor off the boat, take it to the shop, repair it, and bring it back & get it back on the boat, This was a great help as I live about a 50 minute drive from this business. My first experience with Boaters Exchange: I had to have warranty work done for Garmin electronics. My dealer no longer provided these services and referred me to Boaters Exchange that was a Garmin certified service center. My expectation was they would bill garmin and then I would still have a huge bill! The service was incredible!
