Rip off! Pricing is…read morebeyond a joke, double other places. $450 to replace a trailer hub? $900 for an engine service? Over $400 just to replace a water pump? Said no thanks, picked up my boat, bought the parts retail and did it myself for less $300, in less than an hour. Would have cost me over $1,200 there. And sloooowwwww, lucky if they touch your boat in a week, even just for a quote and you won't get pricing in writing for repairs. Go look at the reviews from the Fort Pierce store they closed and see the owners answers to reviews and then ask yourself if that's the type of person you want to deal with.

I brought my 2012 Tundra to Daves beach auto repair shop, I told them I know what's wrong with it…read morebecause I took it to Discount Auto they told me the code , which was a injector sensor bank 2 , I believe code was 1441, so I waited for them to check my truck, no word 1st day so the second day it was there I went to the shop & said when will you look at my truck they said it's next , so they checked it out & said it was the problem I knew it had injector sensor, they said it would be a week before they could get the part , I said no good I need my truck sooner than that, they then charged me 67.00 for basically nothing , I took it to another shop & told them what had happened at Daves , they said they could get any part within 3 days, part comes from Hewitt Technology. PS. My tire was curbed after I had an alignment two days before from buying new tires from Franks tires , this happened at Daves Beach auto repair . I feel they could have told me in the beginning that they were backed up , so I feel they were dishonest, I wasted time and money there so yes one star for being friendly. I will never use them again . Fred Bucher / Cape local

How does that happen! Hopefully, the owner will acknowledge their mistake and resolve it.....after spending almost $5,000 there this month! The owner, Robbie, worked with us and we were able to come to an agreement. BMW being fixed today, and Robbie was very apologetic and takes his family owned business very seriously. Happy we were able to fix the communication problems and I plan on continue using their services. I recommend supporting locally owned businesses in our community and I hope to be a returning customer for the next several years to come. Hard to find trustworthy auto repair shops. I appreciate and respect Robbie's willingness to resolve the communication issue.

I'm a mechanical engineer with experience in the automotive industry. I'm giving 3 of 5 stars…read morebecause I did not actually use their service. I did however take my car to the shop for a quote. I first called to ask for a quote for a specific repair job for a specific car. They would not provide a quote over the phone as a couple of other shops did. They insisted I bring the car in for diagnosis, so at the appointed time I showed up with the car. After three hours of waiting, they provided a quote for the service I asked for that was ~50% higher than the next closest quote. They also did a 'courtesy inspection' which I did not ask for. This inspection resulted in 7 additional recommended items totaling about $1,800. Things like this fluid change, that cleaning, etc. The car has 300k miles on it, and the majority of these items have never been done. The experience reminds me of the slick marketing we get at the dealership repair shops, and is exactly what I was hoping to avoid by choosing a 'family-owned' shop. The actual work product may in fact be excellent; I don't know. But it is probably over priced.

Asked them to also check out a squeaking noise that I had been told previously may be very expensive to fix. The oil change was done quickly and for $30 cheaper than other places. This is the kind of service and honesty that has already made me a long term customer. Thanks so much and keep up the great work, it matters!!
