Really good food, terrible service. It may have been just a large crowd because it was the weekend of the Galway Races, and the staff didn't know how to handle - but we sat down, waited 15 minutes for menus, another 15 to order. BF ordered a pint of Smithwicks - got a half pint. When the food came out, though, it was lovely. BF had the chowder, seafood was fresh, there was some lovely dill, the bread wasn't too crumbly, and the cream was thick without being overwhelming. My salmon was perfectly cooked atop a bed of wonderfully roasted veggies. Two waiters brought the check (two slips of paper), and three promised to go get the credit card machine (one did come back with it, and pretty promptly). We'd go back if we were ever in town again. read more
