I was in Hamilton and was in search of a Cheesesteak not any Cheesesteak but the best of what Hamilton had to offer! I entered and was greeted by friendly staff and explained some of the menu to me. I'm always impressed when they actual know about the components of the order such as where the bun comes from? what kind of meat is used? are the sauces in house? In true fashion without any additional items I just ordered the original. Cheesesteak wit! That's with cheez whizz but they make their own version in house which is so tasty! As I was waiting I was witnessing a lot of traffic in/out . This place was busy! It took 5-10 minutes for mine to get cooked as they cook to order. I opened my bundle o joy and took my first bit.. OMG! Superb tasting, the steak was not too thin and flavorless like some. This was juicy with a slight peppery profile. The cheese was stable even though the Sammy was piping hot it didn't breakdown. Into a runny liquid. The bun was soft and held up well even though they left it whole and didn't cut it in half. Apparently the buns are from Cob bakery.. I would have liked to have seen a crustier baguette style bun to be more authentic Philly but this will do. Onions and peppers are also offered as addition but they were sweet peppers instead of hot longs. Although I didn't order the fries the coney fries looked like something I would order on my next trip! Oh yes I will be back soon! If you're in the area do yourself a favor and go hear you won't be disappointed! 4.2/5 stars

Had the Texas Rustler and it was delicious. Tender steak, plenty of spice, and the perfect bun. The owner was amicable and explained that the cheese was sourced locally from Etobicoke and the bread from the Cobs bakery next door.

We arrived around 11am on a long weekend and they had plenty of tables available, but by the time we were leaving, all the tables were full. You need to order your food first and get seated after. They bring your order to you, but if you need a coffee refill, or milk and cream, you need to pick them up yourself at the station. Coffee refill was a challenge for us, since we had to go through all other tables and wait for the staff to refill our coffee, and even there were times they were out of milk and had to drink our coffee black. We ordered "Key West Eggs", "Crepe au Fraises", "Slow Roasted Lamb" and "Canadian Peameal Back Bacon". Our food was delicious and we would love to go back and try more of their menu items. Just expecting delays for our coffee this time. Lol

The Balsamic Chicken (with bacon, goat cheese, roasted red peppers, spinach and pesto aioli) was fantastic, and had excellent flavours. The side dipping sauce was delicious. The Florence St. Sandwich (with tomatoes, artichokes, Asiago and sun dried tomato pesto) was good, but I didn't enjoy the flavours as much so would probably try something different the next time. I would have preferred to select my own bread since the ciabatta and panini was hard to cut through with a knife - it got messy. It would have been better if it was cut in half before being served to the customer to make it easier to eat. After ordering from the counter, there was sign to wait to be seated. Service just to get seated was extremely slow. In the end, we asked someone if we could seat ourselves, which we did. The food was then brought to the table, but it was confusing since we had to get up again to go to a different counter to put cream and sugar in our coffee. Although the portion size of the chicken and ingredients were good, the sandwiches were pricey considering there was no table service, and seating was disorganized. It would be difficult to host large groups or families here. It would have been ok to reduce the amount of chicken to cut costs and price since there were two thick layers of meat. Ambiance was good.

We were visiting Burlington and…read morearrived at our hotel late after our flight, so there wasn't much open in the area at midnight for food. We found this place because it was one of the few restaurants that popped up in our late night Uber Eats search. The restaurant was less than 10 minutes from our hotel and still open for another hour or so. I've never been to a Philthy Philly's before this one, and this Burlington location wasn't on Yelp yet. I also didn't have time to research the place online since I was driving, so I was going in blind. I don't do this very often because it has almost always resulted in a negative outcome in the past whenever I picked a place to eat at random without research. But we were desperate and famished after the flight, so their menu full of Philly cheesesteak varieties and chicken wings sounded downright delicious. I didn't care at that point how authentic their cheesesteaks were; I just wanted to eat. The name of this chain did seem a bit sketchy to me, though (because srsly, who really wants to ingest food from a place associated with the word "filthy"--no matter how it's spelled like). So yeah, I wasn't expecting much at all. At first, we ended up ordering two small cheesesteak varieties and a few small orders of chicken wings as a reconnaissance meal of sorts to test out the food. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. All of the cheesesteaks had a lot of flavour and the meat wasn't dry, unlike some other versions I've tried in the past. The wings were fried really well. Everything was just damn tasty. After passing this initial test, we went full-bore carnivore mode and placed another order for more cheesesteaks and wings. It was a meat-feast for the ages, all at a place found completely by accident. I appreciate how they offer different sizes of cheesesteaks since this allowed me to try multiple flavours in one sitting. I also like the fact they are open late (even later on Friday / Saturday) since finding tasty late-night food in this area seems a bit difficult. Staff that night was friendly, too. I was craving their cheesesteaks and wings the next morning so that was a good sign. I'm glad we gave this place a shot and would definitely stop by again if in the area.
