Blue Steel Burger....As thin as thin can be
Maria H.

TL;DR: Overpriced for the serving size, and the quality isn't good enough to counterbalance that. Go to HAMBRGR instead. Hung over from a work party, I was in very serious need of greasy, meaty deliciousness. Having been to Burger Priest once many moons ago (think, back when it opened moons ago), I remembered that their quality was pretty good, and they were conveniently available via Skip the Dishes. So, off I ordered. Seeing that if you spent $20 total for your order, delivery was free, I decided to "splurge" and get their Blue Steel ($11), a poutine ($8), and a cookie ($1.50). Now, to understand the degree of my disappointment, you may need some context. Context One: When I order from HAMBRGR (the Ottawa Street location) I can only finish half my burger and a handful of fries before tapping out. Context Two: When ordering from the COOP, their beef poutine is TWO meals for me. Context Three: If I opt for Wendy's, a Double and small fries makes me uncomfortably full. So, when my food arrived... I was beyond disappointed with the serving size. The burger was literally thinner than the width of my pointer finger. It was decent in terms of juiciness, and there was an okay amount of blue cheese on it...but I've seen thicker burgers in PC's $13 8-pack at Fortino's. The poutine gravy was decently flavoured, but the fries were over-salted and the sizing was basically a side-order. So, suffice it to say, I won't be ordering from them again.

Tried the California burger (or something like that) which the buns were fried in butter and as tempting as it might sound it was the worst choice I have made in my entire life!! ;-) It was greasy and soggy and my sandwich was falling apart after the first bite. The chilli fries weren't any better either in terms of soggy-ness! Chocolate milkshake was the best part. The service and the (religious?!! Or whatever was the idea) concept didn't really give me a pleasant vibe.

I had to stop and try the famous Big Mac burger called the high priest. I have to admit it was pretty good the the first time I tried it. This burger was just like a Big Mac but much larger and made with actual real beef! The only issue here is the consistency is just not there yet. Multiple visits which meant multiple experiences with the same food item. This place is a hit or miss on a delicious meal.

The best burger in Hamilton/Burlington hands down. The burgers are top quality freshly ground meat, cooked correctly, always thick and juicy, dripping with flavour. I like them with only cheese. My husband always gets one with lots of toppings and he is equally impressed. Burger's Priest is a little pricey, but completely worth it. These burgers are SO much better than the other two places in Hamilton that people often claim to be the best; Hambrgr - totally over-rated. The hamburg there was dry and tasteless. And the other one I hear all the time is "Five Guys" - but again, the "Five Guys" burgers are dry and overcooked.

Vatican City and Riggs & Murtaugh shake. And yes...that is grilled cheese for the buns.

Love all their Burgers but Vatican Burger is a must. They are juicy and cooked to perfection.

Thought I would give them a try and was definitely not expecting to taste a burger that tasted as well as it did. Will definitely be back!

Nailed it. The Bacon Double Cheeseburger sets the bar pretty high. Easily the best burger I have had in a long time.

Always great. Fries are great as well. Reminds me of a real , old school , Montreal burger. Friendly staff.

My go to spot traveling from Buffalo to Toronto. We were greeted with a great server upon arrival,…read morealthough it was later in the evening 8:15pm, we still had time to grub down some amazing food. I ordered the Burger medium well with fries and a side of poutine. Wow! This might be the best Hamburger I've ever had and as a chubby dude I ate my share of burgers in my 47 years on this rock. The burger was similar to a Whopper and a Big Mac in one. Exceptional. Now on to the poutine. This was exceptional as well, the gravy in Canada is something sent from the heavens and this didn't disappoint. 5/5, 10/10 anyway you scale it this place was an amazing place.

Stopped by for lunch on our way to Niagara Falls. We chose to sit at the bar instead of at a table…read morebecause even though there was a sign saying to wait to be seated, no one came and greeted us. Service was honestly pretty bad. The lady serving us was rude and I understand she may be the only one manning the tables, but it honestly was not too busy since only 4 tables taken and it was not peak hours, but the tone she kept using with us to "give her a second" was not pleasant. We ordered a BBQ chicken chop salad, the original hamont burger with fries, and two beers. Food took a while to come out. Salad was really fresh but I didn't know it came with beans, which I'm not a fan of. Burger was honestly a bit too salty and dry for me. I also tried asking for ranch for my fries but was told it's an additional $2CAD?! That's pretty expensive for someone from SoCal since sauce is usually free or at most 25 cents in LA. Parking was convenient because we were lucky and found metered parking right iufside
