Saj Time - Shawarma Sushi

It's Saj time, anytime! (...Except Sundays when they're closed) They serve authentic Lebanese…read morecuisine with always fresh ingredients. I've been here twice with my boyfriend and we've chosen something different and delicious each time! The first time we were there, I ordered the hummus wrap and he ordered the chicken kafta wrap. We had originally wanted to order the baba ghanouj wrap and beef kafta wrap but it was a Saturday and they had sold out of those items, so make sure to come earlier in the week if you want to try those! However, our second choices still proved to be very satisfying. They make their Saj bread which they use for the wraps right there in the restaurant so it's as fresh as it can get! My boyfriend really enjoyed his chicken kafta wrap with the Saj time sauce (a slightly sweet and savory sauce). My wrap was filled with lots of hummus and loads of fresh veggies. We knew we had to come back again! The second time we got to try the beef kafta rice plate and baba ghanouj wrap! The beef kafta is made with various spices and is extremely flavorful, my boyfriend got it topped with the Saj time sauce again because it was so good the first time. My baba ghanouj wrap was packed with veggies, it was food that felt good for my tastebuds and my health! I'm not sure what the baba ghanouj specifically tasted like because I had a lot of pickled vegetables (beets, banana peppers, pickles) that had very strong flavors. Saj time has so many unique items and I would highly recommend it to all my fellow Yelpers and non-Yelpers to check this place out! The prices are very fair and they also have daily specials! For my next visit, I have my eye on the Apple Sinister Saj dessert!

When I first walked-in, I was kindly greeted by the workers behind the till; they were friendly and welcoming as we chose the item that we wanted to eat. The restaurant itself was small however, it was perfect for a quick bite; the décor was simple yet stylish. There were other individuals at the restaurant as well, which made the setting feel cozy. I had settled on the twisted shawarma without the parsley and onions; I was told by the staff that this was going to be a delicious shawarma so, I was looking forward to it. I waited at the table, and within ten minutes, I was brought the shawarma directly to the table; such excellent customer service! I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the shawarma was; the pita was nicely toasted, and the ingredients inside of the shawarma were the perfect combination of meat, vegetables, and garlic sauce. Overall, this restaurant definitely has my vote for top food, excellent service, and a humble environment. I felt welcomed during my entire stay, and truly enjoyed the food, as it was one bite of deliciousness after another. This restaurant knows how to prepare authentic food, along with displaying kind gestures to all customers, while making a customer feel loved from entry to exit. Will definitely come back again, and will recommend to others!

I paid $14 after tax for a beef and cheese manakish with a side of garlic sauce, and inhaled it in less than 3 minutes, lmfao. It was so good. You can get it without cheese and it's very similar to Turkish Lahmachun. Get the garlic sauce! It's delicious and a great compliment to the bread. Everything for the most part is made fresh right in front of you and they use quality ingredients. Service was quick; I had a little difficulty ordering because the guy at the front doesn't speak english very well but that doesn't affect the rating. Interior is really cute, I love the colors and decorations. They have public bathrooms here. I'd like to say I'll be back, but because of the price it'll probably be an occasional treat for me.

Chez Talal - Vegetables not fresh on weekdays

They made big mistake with my order but they were great at owning up to it and showed exemplary service in doing so. They got the grape vine wraps which goes great with fries. I will go back just for this. Keep in mind shawarma on weekdays may not be freshly grilled but kept in containers they scoop out of, or regrilled. But the beef shawarma good either way. Sauces for sharwarma in addition to regular sauces they have there is also a yogurt like sauce addition that give great taste. But all the side toppings does lean toward the saltier side. I'd recommend asking to replace all with rice. Lettuce on weekday seems a bit old, brown and yellow spots... try to go on weekends Eggplant dip bought separately tasted sadly underwelming but might be a thing for some people. I had much tastier eggplant dips especially the canned ones. Theirs seems home made. Their food is decent 3/5 and service 4/5. You will feel people working there cares, unlike Made in Mexico on main st new location in my recent trip. For competing sharwarma there is always Sharwarma Land on Yonge st to try around ten min drive south. The lack of fresh veggies and meat on weekdays sadly lowers rating.
