Maro's is awesome!!!!!…read more I could not recommend this place enough. I went with a party of 5 and the service was great. They were very attentive to making sure we had a great time and enough sauces. I think a tale tale sign of a good restaurant is when they warn you that you're getting too much food, and Maro's did. We didn't care though bc we needed to try as much as possible. My friend had previously gone and they gave her a free salad, so once again bomb service. The food was amazingggggggggg. I'm salivating thinking about it. All of their dips (garlic mayo, hot sauce, humus) literally bussed down in my mouth. The eggplant and artichokes literally took me to heaven. They were so carmelized but once you hit into them, they melted away. I floated away to another dimension with them. Everything we got was amazing and my group was so gluttonous and I don't even care. We also got drinks and they were all amazing. Anyways I would travel back to Canada just for this and buss down once again.

Recent visits, I have found they refurnished the space -- it's now much darker, and several smaller tables fill the space now, whereas before, it was filled with long tables and you would be seated beside strangers for your meal. It had a different, lighter and more communal vibe before. Also on recent visits, the staff server are a lot younger -- still warm and welcoming, but with less urgency. So getting assistance takes longer. Although this makes for a nice slow meal, if that's what you're looking for! The food however, is still A+! It's the reason I keep coming back again and again. And why when friends come to visit, Maro's is always in the Top 3 places to try in Halton. They consistently serve up fantastic Lebanese food. If you're dining with a vegetarian -- they will be THRILLED with the options here! I daresay they lead with vegetables here. No one will be disappointed with vegetarian option here -- even the meat eaters. Be sure to check out their drink menu as well. Their cocktails -- and mocktails -- are great. Parking outside is all paid parallel street parking, since it's downtown Oakville. But if you visit on Sundays -- parking is free!

Also anyone pulling into the parking lot is sure to blind you with their headlights so maybe best to pick a seat away from the windows. We ordered the Adonis entrée, the Chicken Shawarma entrée, Lamb Souvlaki entrée, a Shish Kafta entrée and a few Lentil soups. All of the entrees came with the same Rice, Potatoes and Greek Salad. The Lamb was cooked well, and for $30+ it better be. Chicken Souvlaki was drenched in sauce so of course it tasted good. The Kafta was AWFUL. So dry and bland. Every bite was making my mouth dry. What a bummer. The Lentil soup was ok but I feel like it didn't taste as authentic as other places I have been. It could have used more spices. The potatoes that came with the meals were just ok. They didn't taste good or bad. However the rice that came with the meals was bland and tasteless. No saffron or anything. Literally around the corner from this place is a restaurant called Sidra and it serves waaaaaaay better Shawarma, Lentil Soup, Kafta (tikka), and their meals come with amazingly flavorful rice and garlic potatoes. With such a better place nearby I don't know why you would come here instead.

When we had first walked-in, we were surprised to see how small the restaurant was. However, we then noticed that most of the guests were doing take-out as opposed to dine-in. We were able to find a table for four, which was perfect for us. When we walked-up to the front counter to place our order, we were greeted by a kind hostess, whom took our orders without any issue. We then sat down, and watched as our orders were being prepared. We had to wait about fifteen minutes for all of our meals to be ready. We were surprised to see that the margarita pizza had olives on it, despite not seeing it on the menu. However, we just scooped them off since my children didn't want to eat the olives. For the falafel and kabab wraps, we were surprised to see how large they were, and for only $10.00! The kabab wrap (which I had asked for without onions), had two large pieces of kabab, which filled the wrap, along with the sumac and tomatoes. I enjoyed how tasty the wrap tasted, along with how filling it was. My mother also commented on how delicious the falafel tasted. Considering the prices that we had paid, we certainly go our money's worth! The service was also excellent, as we were brought our wraps directly to our table, while the pizza was placed on the table near to our table. Everyone was kind and considerate, making our stay a pleasant one. There were so many menu items to choose from, it was hard to narrow it down. Will definitely be back to try other items the next time around!

I like the 4 in 1 which allows you to sample different toppings at once. It's become my most preferred. The bread is doughy but depending on the option(s) picked, it may fall apart. Service is good. They pump out orders rapidly even when busy. Rarely do they miss ingredients, but rectify those errors. I've dined in more than take out. For a small establishment, it seems to be doing well. Draws in crowds at times. Food is prepped in front of you. Area is clean. Toppings are generous, as are the staff. The washroom is also clean and adjacent to the checkout counter.

Our waitress was excellent, and the rest of the staff--including the owner/manager--made a point to ensure that the food quality and service met the highest standard. Highly recommended.

We made the reservation through OpenTable 7 days prior their opening and all the timeslots were fully booked except for 8:30, which we chose. But when we got to the restaurant, more than half of the tables were empty! There are plenty of parking spots available in the plaza where the restaurant is located. The staff are very friendly and they also have coat check. The service was great; our empty dishes were collected from our table the moment we were done with our food! And our table was cleaned up from the food residuals multiple times! Their cocktail menu includes Lebanese fusion alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. And we enjoyed our drinks. Their menu is not that extensive, nothing special that you cannot find in any other Mediterranean or Middle Eastern restaurant, but the prices are significantly higher and the portions are less generous. I believe they were trying to establish a high-end restaurant but they only got the high price right! We ordered Kibbeh for appetizer (included 4 pieces of kibbeh for $22) and Mixed Grill (including Orfali Kebab, Kefta Kebab, Tenderloin and Chicken Tawuk for $77). The total bill came around $170 for 2 people. Our food tasted okay, but nothing special that you cannot find in any other Mediterranean restaurant for at least half of the price!

We arrived around noon on a recent Saturday and the place was completely empty. A group of four fairly loud men showed up shortly after us and inexplicably sat at a table near us, but that's obviously not the restaurant's fault. The menu contained plenty of tasty-looking entrees, but I figured I'd grab the dish with the name of the restaurant in it: the Tarboosh ("Combination of shawarma and falafel"). The concoction arrived to the table quite a while later, which was weird considering how empty the joint was, and sure looked impressive. I dove right in. Everything on the plate was tasty but not mind-blowing. The chicken shawarma had a few crispy pieces, which was appreciated, but was mostly unreasonably dry. (The two included sauces helped with that, at least.) The falafel was fresh but strangely light. It didn't really have a strong flavor of anything, really. I enjoyed eating it, but it definitely didn't remind me of traditional falafel. The hummus was creamy but lacking in a strong chickpea flavor (i.e. the concoction was overwhelmed by tahini, essentially). However, once I began eating everything together, I began enjoying everything a lot more. The included bread help, too, even though it was far from the best middle-eastern bread I've ever had. Tarboosh is a mixed bag, that's for sure. If you're in the area, it's worth a try. I don't think I would travel to far to check it out, though.

The decor is super pretty, kind of funky-chic, and everything just feels clean, spacious, and well put together. Nice energy inside. When we went, it was busy but in a good way! It was lively, lots of people, but still comfortable and not overwhelming. I believe they also have live music some days which is so cool!! We ordered the platter with a mix of different skewers and it was so good. You get a variety of meats, all really well seasoned and cooked nicely. Everything tasted fresh and flavourful, and it came with rice and fries which made it a really filling meal. It's definitely the kind of dish that's perfect for sharing so you can try a bit of everything. The quality of the food really stood out, you can tell they put effort into how everything is prepared. The menu overall is pretty big too, with lots of Middle Eastern options and different things to try, which I liked. They also have lots of options on the menu, there's a good mix of traditional dishes and more modern takes, so it feels a bit more elevated. The dessert was also delicious!! Service was really good as well. The staff were friendly, attentive, and everything came out at a good pace. Even with the restaurant being busy, it didn't feel slow or disorganized at all.
