I've been waiting...a long...long...long time to come to this location. after multiple attempts and a couple of issues along the way, I finally made it out to this location to have some foooooods! the wait was definitely worth it, I entered the store and it was empty, I thought to my self sunday at lunch time? doesn't make sense but ok, I don't get it. I ordered two philly cheesesteaks with chicken instead of beef(which was a very nice option) and a greek style poutine. I added hot peppers to both of my cheesesteaks, but forgot to mention no onions, which wasn't a dealbreaker imho. I ended up having the Italian stallion with chicken and the cheesesteak with chicken, both of them phil sized (small sandwiches) as I wanted try this out and not be disappointed. oh man, the food was completely worth it, the flavors were great, the food was fresh and the meal was hot temp wise, the poutine was outstanding as well, because I got the greek style version they replaced the gravy with tzatziki sauce, which was an outstanding choice with the fries. very happy with my life choices up to this point. the cashier was beyond nice at this location, and I wish I got his name, so I could let everyone know on this review. the food was also fast to be cooked and done properly, zero complaints. I was a bit taken back by how dead it was when I came, and by the time I left, about 4 tables had people at it. lots of free parking as this location in set up in a outdoor mall. transit options are the 41 keele, the 89 Weston, and the 512 st. clair streetcar, with a bit of a walk. cant wait to come back to this location, and I also cant wait to try other locations! p.s. I'd like to thank Blogto for the recommendation for this one, as without blogto I would not have known about this place, and I hope others will read this and give it a shot as I believe this place is worth your time :)

First of all, the small size "Phil" sandwich is tiny. Maybe good enough for a child. Could eat that thing in a few bites and still be starving. Unless it's a snack, don't get the small size. It also lacked filling; the ratio of bread to meat and cheese is too high. Also, we ordered the "Philthy", and they must have heard "Philly" and we didn't catch the mistake on the computer screen. Ended up getting the wrong sandwich. Why do they have two sandwiches with similar names? Also my Cheeseburger poutine didn't come with pickles as it said it would. I guess I was supposed to ask for it, but it was listed as one of the toppings so I thought it was automatic. Maybe the list of toppings are just suggestions? We ended up going across the street to get more food because we were still hungry.

I had a delicious Philly Chicken Sandwich with a lot of toppings with melted Swiss cheese and Philly's special sauce. And a medium size poutine with fries that was delish. I ended eating 1/4 of the poutine with fries. So I took the rest in the container for home. Next time I will try something else on their menu.

Just added this buisiness as it has just opened in the last couple days. Very clean location. Order was quick but took a little while to make (much to do with the fact that i got the 12 inch which is giant. Fairly expensive too at $13.99, but wow do you get a lot. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do Not try and bring home. They put so much delicious steak that it will be 10x more messy. But thats half the fun! Do not go here if you mind a messy meal, but if you love delicious cheese steaks than this is your spot.

Tried out Philthy Philly's for the first time ever and did so on a whim as there was a Groupon promotion for purchase and Stockyards Village shopping was already on the itinerary. Visited during the afternoon and it had healthy patronage. Service was friendly and helpful. Ordered the Original Poutine in Philthy size, Philly Cheese Steak in regular size and a pop. Portions were huge and especially with the Groupon deal ($12 for $20), it was an amazing value! We were satisfied with our picks, would certainly recommend. Nice to have this in the neighbourhood!

Extremely messy but still pretty good. If you come here you're looking to spend over $10 dollars on food for sure. If you don't like a messy meal this isn't the place for you. Overall though this is a brand new restaurant and their first impression was actually really great. Friendly workers, friendly environment. Some advice don't bother putting vegetables on your cheese steak, I could barely taste them

Happy that they added this to the stockyards area! Sandwiches are very good. Haven't had a chance to try the poutine yet.

I came here out of the blue cause i didn't feel like making the same food and treated myself with take out. Let's say this place I did not know existed and it was pretty neat, it is straight out of Québécois home of the smoke meat and poutine. They caught my attention because of all the fancy decor and patio dining seat. They have a fancy swing with their advertised special which was the Roast Beef sandwich with bacon and cheese with side of fries/salad and a soft drink for 12.99, deal right? Lemme tell you, I was greeted with open arms by the 3 staff working and it was very home feeling. The roast beef was sliced quite thinly and was very tender to bite and chew. The curly fries was particularly interesting as it was kind of too well done for how I like to enjoy my fries traditionally, but maybe I'll learn to like it. Overall, the food was quite heavy that I'm going to just share my portion. I'll definitely come back and give some other items on the menu a go. ps: they provide you with a decent size pickle that is nice and salty.

I didnt even know if I called the right number. When we got that cleared up I asked for a pound of smoked meat. They proceeded to ask sandwich, platter... all I wanted was meat. Wheh we got that cleared up, we picked up the food and it tasted very good. It was shaved quite a bit more than I expected but that's it a huge issue. It also felt a bit on the expensive side. And maybe even overpriced per lb compared to what I might get in a sandwich. Parking is a bit hard here as the lot was quite busy. They gotta fix some customer service issues but otherwise the food was good.

The portions were extremely generous, especially when considering the price and the cost of food. WELL WORTH IT! I chose the veal sandwich (as my photo shows) with hot peppers. It was the perfect amount of spice and a hearty helping of meat as well. The wait staff were friendly and helpful and gave just the right amount of attention. We requested a bit of time after the meal, which gave me just enough time to take in the atmosphere and aesthetic of this place. To me, it feels like a fusion of an old-world Italian bistro meets the new world, with old-school style tablecloths and the traditional sides in traditional glass serving containers. The interior design leans a bit more new world with nice panelled ceilings and even a lamp at the table that we could adjust by ourselves....

A panini is a great filler (the hot Italian is a great way to go). The meatball sandwich combines the best of all worlds - delicious meatballs, and delicious breads. And, the pizzas? Incredible value. The Costa Nostra is a great way to get a lot of unique flavours that work really well. There is also a wall of wine, which I'm sure is very exciting for a number of people. That's a world I can't speak to, but it was impressive to look at. The only slight downside is that the restaurant can be a little bit loud. But that's to be expected.

Out group tried the Biscuits and gravy, shrimp Benny and brisket Benny as well as fried green tomato, kids apple johnny cakes and grilled cheese. The portions are generous. The chicken with the biscuits and gravy were 2 pieces of brined dark meat chicken served on a biscuit and collards smothered in pork gravy. Chicken was very juicy and super crunchy, collard needed some acidity, biscuit was light but a little overdone and gravy was not as fat a decadent than in the south, lighter but still tasty, wish they poured it a little more generously. The fried green tomato was outstanding as the accompany silly aioli situation was great. Kids apple jonnycakes were a hit and loved the hot chocolate with mini marshmallows for the kiddos. Gtilled cheese was a hit - got the pull and the bread was well toasted. The home fries were a bit of a let down. Although very cool and layered, they seemed very greasy, maybe oil or flattop wasn't hot enough? Benny's were both good, shrimp cake was well cooked and crisp and brisket was flavourful and moist. What a pleasant surprise... was very impressed with this place! Food (4.75/5) - they have a good mix of sandwiches, meats, jerk chicken and beef patties. - Fully Loaded Peameal On a Bun - what an outstanding breakfast sandwich - probably the best one I have ever had! Hearty portions of: - double peameal bacon patties - fried egg - melted cheddar - maple aioli - kale - tomato (not for me) All on a soft pain-au-lait bun. What a first bite! Juicy peameal, maple aioli flavour, perfectly fried medium soft egg were the highlights. Beef Patty - fresh not frozen and homemade. Had the mild one and probably could have done spicy instead... it is VERY mild. Nice mix of beef, oxtail and other ingredients in a nicely baked outer crust - not too dry or thick. Service (4.75/5) - can tell this is a family/private owned business... take pride in their stuff, friendly and polite. It isn't going to be ready in 5 minutes... building from scratch takes some time but well worth it!
