If you lose our order, don't put us in the back the line and make us wait. Blaming the issue on technology is lame. Fries and tater tots were room temperature. Burger was good. Shrimp and grits were good. read more

I was in town for business and wanted something local and different. This place is very nice and modern. Its a seat yourself restaurant. Lots of people there for lunch. The craft beer selection was nice. Had a Mexican lagar. It was very good. I ordered the dip flight. It had jalapeño pimento cheese, spinach artichoke and roasted red pepper humus. The pimento cheese was good and so were the homemade chips. Kinda disappointed about the portion of spinach artichoke dip. Half the amount of the others and the humus tasted like sabra. My server was super nice and attentive. I ordered the shrimp and cheese grits. When it arrived I was disappointed at the ratio of shrimp to grits. Big bowl of grits and average shrimp. Could taste the white wine it was supposedly sauté in. But it was good. Grits were very creamy and cheesy. I was going to order desert but the server was to quick to bring my ticket and didnt offer or ask if I wanted any. All in all food and service is good. They need to do better on portion ratio and offering a desert. For 16$ entrée I was expecting at least 6 shrimp for that big bowl of grits. If you're in Batesville check this place out. read more

As if the Batesville, AR growing food scene wasn't already impressive enough, a new addition to downtown continues the momentum. Just a month ago, the doors opened for a comfy new spot just off Main St that brings a great vibe not just for the downtown scene, but for the community. With a small yet perfect menu to fit the ambiance, The Board on 3rd is a unique spot worth hitting up. As usual, I just ask the wait staff what I should try, and as usual, they didn't let me down. I started things off with the 3rd Street Dip Flight, which has spinach dip, red pepper hummus, and jalapeno pimento cheese served up with their house-made crostini, which I would love a whole bag of for sure! While enjoying the appetizer, my fish tacos arrived. The fried cod tacos come served up in a warm, soft/crispy (perfect) tortilla and topped with a fresh slaw blend, cotija crumble, tomato, lime, and a spicy sauce, which I got on the side so I could taste how good it was. I'm a sauce option kind of food lover; folks can hide a lot by bathing their food in sauce, so I like to try it without before I lightly add some sauce. These tacos are excellent without the sauce, but a light drizzle does add a great little kick. So good, though, you could enjoy these things with or without sauce. After the great appetizer and main entree, and with a long drive ahead, I had to pass on dessert. They looked amazing, though, so I will definitely be giving that a try very soon. My cup never went empty, the whole staff were super nice and very active, have some golf on the tv is always good, and an overall spot on visit! The cool thing about this place is it felt very community embraced, and I hope that continues and grows. Always great to see local folks opening a local place and it being well supported by local people. Places this special still can't survive on travelers alone. It takes a village!
