We visited The Twisted Spud at the recommendation of a local. We weren't disappointed! We visited in a Friday afternoon around 1 and were seated almost immediately. Our waitress brought menus, took our drink order and returned quickly with those. After answering a few questions, our order was taken. The restaurant has a sports bar type feel. Even though there are TV's everywhere, it wasn't overly noisy. Our order was delivered piping hot and was delicious!! There were many dishes on the menu....surely everyone could find something they like. I can't wait to go back. The restaurant is on Main St in an area that is being revitalized. If you have time, stroll the shops.

Our server made excellent recommendations and took good care of our table. The seasonal appetizer was smoked salmon dip with tortilla chips. We were given a generous amount of chips and dip. The dip was delicious. For entrees we went with a burger and fries and a salad with salmon. The burger was juicy and the toppings paired well together. The salad was equally tasty but could have been just a little bit bigger. The menu offers something for everyone. They offer an extensive beer and cocktail list with daily specials.

The Totachos had a home style potato seasoned taste with flavorful cheese sauce, pico de gallo, & jalapeño. Perfectly crisp, but unconventional (not regular shaped). For entrees we got a buffalo chicken salad but substituted the blue cheese crumbles for shredded cheese, nix the tomato. For the Rubin we got extra signature sauce. The bites were juicy, with a good flavor and the bread crispy to match. Mac bites are made with pepper jack cheese and are richer than I expected. Served with ranch dressing. Waitress was available and kept up with all sections. Would recommend and be interested in trying something else soon!

Undeterred, I pivoted to a **Manhattan**, and *oh my glory*--turns out the first mixologist was just warming up (or maybe daydreaming?). Then, salvation arrived in the form of a **gothic cocktail queen** who waved her magic shaker, swapped out the **1738** for a *proper* Old Fashioned, and all was right with the world. (*Saturday at 8 PM vibes: chill, smooth, just how I like it.*) By **9 PM**, the place was *alive*--good energy, great staff, just a solid crew making sure the night stayed on track. Now, the plot twist? I was *this close* to dropping a **2-star rating**... until the **blackened catfish** hit my table. **HOLY FLAVOR.** Perfectly seasoned, generous portion--I'm talking *"cancel your dinner plans and just come here"* levels of delicious. **4 STARS, EASY.** Final verdict? **Rough start, glorious finish.** Will be back for that catfish... and maybe another round of cocktail roulette. this was perfect for a gambling town.
