This place is perfect for drinks and bar food that is restaurant quality (not your standard grill). My kids really like the food here, but the atmosphere can be overstimulating for some of us. Get the thin and crispy fries!!! They're worth the wait. My first time here I ordered one of their loaded fry entrees and it was okay, but when I returned for a second shot I had a spicy grilled chicken sandwich that was very good and generously portioned. We always look for new places in the area when visiting our cabin in Arkansas and I saw Twisted Spud pop up in Yelp while looking for places in Batesville. I was excited to try it as it's not often you see a restaurant whose specialty is a baked potato. We were seated right away on a Monday for lunch. Our server was so sweet and took time to answer all of our questions about the menu. I decided to go with the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch loaded potato which was a touch choice as every potato on the menu sounded amazing. My husband got the Bourbon Blitz burger which was on special. Y'all....the potato was HUGE and the BOMB!! It had queso, shredded cheese, ranch, hand breaded chicken tenders, fresh bacon, onions, lettuce, and tomato. There was not one square centimeter on that spud that wasn't topped with something. My husband said his burger was the best he ever had which is saying a lot. The crinkle fries were just your basic frozen variety but they are fried in beef tallow which made them extraordinary. We both pretty much cleaned our plates and my husband kept moaning lol. I just left a couple bites of potato because of its colossal size but I gave it my best shot. If you are in Batesville, go try this place!! You will not be disappointed. Twisted Spud is in a great location. You can park and go walk around and visit some antique shops before or after you dine. I personally recommend before because you will leave so full walking is a chore. The atmosphere is very relaxed. plenty of TVs everywhere with something for everyone to watch. the staff is always smiling, friendly and ready to help if you are having a hard time deciding on what to devour this trip. I have never sat in Twisted Spud without seeing the owners zipping around to check on the kitchen, bar and great or talk customers to help continue to make things run smooth. This is their heart and passion and they love this community and this restaurant and it shows! The fried pickles are the best. fried well, plenty of batter. No sogginess or greasiness left from the frying either, just nice and crispy. I prefer the delicious ranch but my husband smothers everything in the Gold sauce and swears by it. I'll give it to him it is pretty darn good. The wings, no matter what style or flavor you choose, are always juicy and packed full of flavor! I've never been severed a small wing. these are good size wings with a nice bit of meat of them. The burgers are handcrafted and just a work of art. Each bite is a phenomenal powerhouse of flavor. HIGHLY recommend trying the Bourbon Blitz Smashburger. it's off the charts. Don't get me started on those crinkle fries! the best crunchy crinkle cut fries with just the right amount of salt round out the meal so well. They also retain their crunch well in any of the loaded fries and are still able to soak up goodness from whatever loaded fry you decide to sample. The peach hot honey cheesecake is to die for. creamy cheesecake with a little line of peach in between gives you just enough sweet kick. So go eat! Bring some friends and family and try them out! We visited The Twisted Spud at the recommendation of a local. We weren't disappointed! We visited in a Friday afternoon around 1 and were seated almost immediately. Our waitress brought menus, took our drink order and returned quickly with those. After answering a few questions, our order was taken. The restaurant has a sports bar type feel. Even though there are TV's everywhere, it wasn't overly noisy. Our order was delivered piping hot and was delicious!! There were many dishes on the menu....surely everyone could find something they like. I can't wait to go back. The restaurant is on Main St in an area that is being revitalized. Ok so I saw lots of good reviews on this and let me tell you this is NOT a good review. First there was THREE HAIRS in MY food. There probably was more but that was in the first bite. My server was so mean to me I asked her for the bill and she threw it down! Yall need to get ahold of your workers. The atmosphere was horrible. All these workers kept giving me dirty looks and when I asked for a soda my server looked at me and said "let's try some water looks like you need it" yall are a horrible food place get ahold of your workers! read more
