After checking out various board game stores all over Southern California, I have to say that Board Game paradise (BGP) in Redlands is by far the best. The selection of games is massive. The staff are well informed, friendly, and helpful. The location is in a quaint area of Redlands with plenty of unique restaurants and shopping. There was a 75% off sale the day I went. They have different game nights going everyday of the week. If you are in to board games, this is the place to be.

Wow! A large selection of board games not just one version of a game but all the versions, colors and series. Reasonable pricing all within the threshold of their open door. Inviting and welcoming staff we were greeted and made to feel at home to look around and see what they had to offer. Super cool stuff! You gotta stop by to see this place, it's pretty awesome! Easy parking to get in and out. Daily events and meet ups like chess in the park. Great for game fans!

Very good selection of Dungeons and Dragons miniatures, pre-painted and ready to paint.

When I learned there was a new boardgame store in Redlands I was excited because not only is it a popular activity, Covid-19 aside, I've been an avid gamer since the 4th grade and was playing Dungeons and Dragons regularly by the 5th grade. Games then were so 'old school' but stimulating for creativity, strategy, and tactics. Applied logic in other words. Today's games are a diverse array for all ages and Boardgame Paradise lives up to its moniker because it includes so many choices and accessories that it's surprising they all fit so neatly in the given space. Clean, bright and with shiny wooden flooring the setting is inviting. For example, follow the river overlay to the children's section where games and puzzles suitable for a wide age span are neatly presented. Fun stuff! Do you like or want to try role playing games (RPGs)? If so, then the section on the wall with Dungeons and Dragons books, starter sets, miniatures you can paint (a plethora of colors are also available), or buy pre-painted are available to start your next campaign. Need card sleeves (recommended to keep those dirty mits from smudging artwork)? They also have a vast selection for every popular size such as Tarot, US and European mini, US and European standard and so on. Looking up is advisable since most sections have oversized Scrabble pieces arranged for the area bellow. My favorite is the huge "Heavyweight" game section that features medium to advanced games such as Gloomhaven and the expansions, Lord of the Rings and War of the Rings (the former uses a nifty app to guide the flow of the game). These games typically have lots of parts, geomorphic gameboards, and intricate miniatures that you can choose to paint. In the back is a small gameroom where Monday nights new games are taught. See Discord, Facebook and Instagram for monthly schedules and other events. The dice section alone is worth the look, so many colors, materials, and functions! I also appreciated the chess equipment. The classic strategy game deserves its due and while you could spend a fortune on a sweet board and pieces, here's a tip: Real pros use simple vinyl roll-up boards, weighted plastic pieces, and a clock for 10-minute games, or the heart rate increasing 5-minute competitions. Prices are MSRP but here's why supporting a local store is important. First, the packaging won't be damaged or mishandled. Second, knowledgeable staff. Third, there's a toy store next door so the neighbors are compatible. Finally, the owner, Richard, is passionate about his business and really loves games and wants everyone else to see how fun they are. Whether it's a co-op game for 3 or more, or just Monopoly, there's something here that you might find interesting.

Open a board game Paradise in Murrieta and Temecula area?! Not an actual question

Oh man! That would be cool! Unfortunately we are not in the position to do that now, but we'll put a pin in it and see if we can't make dreams come true down the road.

Good selection of the big name newer stuff, and lots of up and coming indies. Great atmosphere and just a pleasant place to look around and decide what you want to read next. I decided to bump this up to 5 stars though because the employees are so great. Mal, Miguel, Cy, and Logan are always super pleasant and friendly. They give good recommendations and are extremely helpful. I still wish they had a dollar bin. However I feel lucky to have such a nice shop near by full of great people.

We got a quick greeting at the door and then were left to fend for ourselves in the Marvel wilderness. The store is super organized and visually on point. My son made a beeline for the Spider‑Man section like it was calling his name. My daughter, who has zero interest in comics, appreciated that they also sell books, tees, Funko Pops, and other merch so she didn't have to pretend to care about Peter Parker's problems. Checkout was smooth, and the cashier immediately pitched their membership program. Totally fine, it's a one‑time fee, not a monthly situation but we're just not ready to invest in that level of comic commitment yet. Prices were reasonable: about seven bucks for most issues and one $35 comic my son proudly bought with his own money. I let him live his best life. The plot twist came a week later when he sat down to read everything... and realized he accidentally bought three copies of the same comic because the covers were different. Variant covers: 1. Newbies: 0. A tiny heads‑up from the cashier would've saved us from the accidental collector's edition starter pack. All that said, the store is clean, cool, and has the exact comic‑shop vibe you expect. We'll definitely be back, just with a little more research and maybe a checklist so we don't accidentally buy the trilogy of the same issue again. Great spot overall, just not the most newbie‑friendly. But we'll return, now slightly wiser and definitely more cautious around pretty cover art.

You have access to all the games as well as all the rooms. You can decide if you want a private room or be out in the main room. It's all just based on availability at the moment. We happened to go when there was an event happening which contributed to the fun atmosphere as well. The price was fantastic. Definitely a great value with a wide selection.

Gamer's Haven is a relaxing place to play role playing games and such away from home with like minded people. Most of the gamers connect through the website meetup which shows the date and times gaming groups play. They regularly look for new players. The establishment has an extensive collection of roleplaying books for a variety of games. Think of it as a library of sorts only devoted to roleplaying. The owner/manager(s) (Dave) are thoughtful and considerate men who appear to run their business 1st to provide an atmosphere where grownups can enjoy each others company like a book or chess club only role playing games. Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Warhammer 40k, Rifts and card games like Exploding Unicorns and such. They have three private rooms for private gaming. The place is mature. You can bring your own beer as no one there is under 21 and everyone is polite. They have a membership program ($35 a month) but you can pay by the day ($5 a day). First day of play is free as a trail to see if you like it. They take cash, venmo, etc. They also have some paints and figurines if your into personalizing your character piece. Gaming materials (dice and such) for sale and can order. They even have a 3d print you can use by the hour (they charge by the hour). I like their snack section that comes with a number of candy bars, nuts, ramon, ice cream bars and drinks. They have a microwave, frig, and sink.the place is made up of 3 sections. The back appears to be dedicated to Warhammer 40k. They have free wi-fi at Gamer's Haven too. Overall I think the place is a must see once in your life as an alternative to the library. Your not in an awkward position of having people over late at night if you have kids and such. However, unlike the library their hours are open past 8 pm. I think members can stay after management leaves with membership access. They have security cc cameras inside and the doors lock after you leave. Atmosphere: 6 star. Clean. Fair temperature. Wifi Service: 5 star. Quality: 5 star. They have a gaming table with a monitor. A collection of gaming books. Value: not sure of the going rate in the industry. Still if one lives close enough and has they friend to play with its better than online gaming or watching TV
