Over the past 2 years, I've been coming here to get my oil changed on my Toyota Rav4. We do know Ben and trust his work. The price of an oil change may be a little bit pricier than a Mr Car Wash, but I feel better about coming here. Ben first told me about how my car and other Toyotas tend to burn through oil quickly. Sometimes when I came in for 3k Mile oil change, I would have almost no oil left. Ben was the first one to tell me to check it every thousand miles and add more as needed. This past time, I heard a weird grinding noise on my brakes. I came to take in my car. Ben wasn't there but the other guy looked at it and said that my brake rotor on my back passenger was damaged and I needed to repair it before more damage. It was $250 for 1 brake rotor and pad repair and $320 for both. I figured it made sense to get both done, since he's already working on it. He got my car fixed in around 3 hours on a Wednesday before Christmas. So thankful! He was super helpful, quick, knowledgeable and efficient, especially for being the only guy there that day! Wait room only has 4 chairs and some National Geographic magazines. Usually no one else is waiting, so it's fine! Xfinity Wifi is available and is pretty fast. read more

Inspection was done quickly and I was charged $25.50 for it The oil change price isn't the cheapest in town, but you can rest assured you are getting good service and won't get ripped off. $68 for synthetic oil change on my Acura RDX. The waiting room has 4 chairs, some magazines, and a restroom. Usually there isn't too much of a wait, but if you're in a time crunch it's a good idea to call ahead just to make sure they're not swamped at the time. read more

I've been a customer for a while now. Ben is reliable and honest mechanic- he will give you his honest opinion before he gets the job done. Their prices and rates are worth it, not too far from the oil place outside of my house that has tried to rip me off before. I prefer to stop by during the week so it is less busy. But they have a waiting area for customers in case the car maintenance takes longer than a simple oil change. I like that they will get you in and out as quickly as possible. You can tell that the staff has a genuine heart for cars and won't try to over charge and rip off their customers. (That's usually our fear when we go to a mechanic/auto-shop, right?). read more

I've been coming here for all my auto needs since i've moved to houston. they are awesome to deal with and you don't have to worry about being ripped off. Whenever I visit my family in Sugar Land I try to revolve car work around so I can visit BNC Auto. Both gentlemen are awesome and honest but I always speak to Ben, who has become a friend of mine. He's a super great guy - always willing to show you why they are recommending certain things to be serviced (and not just telling you) and really cares about his customers. Each time I bring my car here I let them work on it knowing I'm not going to get ripped off, that they will stand behind their work, and do a wonderful job. In fact, I don't even ask for the price, I just hand them the keys and for those that know me it takes a lot of trust for me to do that. They seem to only work on Honda, Toyota, Acura, Infiniti, Nissan, Lexus, Mazda, and Mitsubishi so keep that in mind before coming or call ahead to see if they will work on your type of car. I really love this shop - anyone who has an issue with them probably miscommunicated to them or are plain wrong - and I hardly ever say that about a place. I am out and about in less than 10 minutes. Props to them for doing quick work when I need state inspection. I have gotten parts on my car replaced here as well and they do an amazing job. Been taking my car here for years, and my parents have been taking their cars here for years. Literally... My dad's 1996 Avalon is now hitting over 350,000 miles (no lie) and Ben and his co-worker are the two masterminds behind making my dad's car so dependable all these years. As for my dad, he's now starting to boast about how many miles he has on his car and is now trying to reach the 400,000 mile mark some time next year... lol I've had everything from the a/c changed to the struts and other giant jobs done at BNC auto rather than at the Lexus dealership and my car is still running as smoothly as ever for a price that is unbeatable. They're truly professionals at what they do. Service is decent. You come into the shop, you tell them what's wrong, they agree to fix it and ba-da-bing ba-da-boom, you'll have your car back in no time. This place is nothing like at a fancy dealership that has water or snacks sitting out for you in the waiting room but I mean, when you come to BNC, you pay to get your car fixed, not for fancy service. Just know that your car is in good hands. Now.. to address other Yelpers comments, I do know a few customers who have said that they don't take their cars here because they feel like Ben talks to them like they're "dumb" or something (and these people are Asian) so I don't think it's a race issue as mentioned in other posts. I really don't think he means to do it, or give off a look as it might just be his "look." I picture the way Ben talks to his customers like how a doctor would talk to us; they'd speak to us like we're "dumb" as we probably wouldn't understand all the medical jargon/terminology. See? Not so bad. If you're into getting your car fixed in no time at a very reasonable price, I'd recommend coming to this hidden gem in Old Sugar Land. It's right off Eldridge rd. and if you want.. you can eat some yummy doughnuts next door while you wait for your car to be fixed! :) **update: Ben is knowledgeable on the new "one sticker" state inspection + registration. I don't care much for other's opinions . Big Sis has been coming here for years and recommended to me. Was really stressed about a problem with my truck and took a chance. She said see Ben but Elder Chang was there and got right to work. Truck is fixed and I'm so stress free now. I'm guessing Father and Son and they rock. Don't bother with this shop for anything beyond an oil change, tire rotation or inspection. I have brought several different vehicles here for service ranging from A/C repair, coil/spark plug replacement, alternator replacement. They refuse to do work that takes any amount of time. If it's not at their finger tips, then they won't do it. This business is merely a lube shop. read more

We have know Ben since we moved to Houston 14 years ago. At first we only sent our honda accord here for oil change. Then as more problem appears ( there was a small fire under the hood) they all got fixed here one by one. Both Ben and his associate are honest about the repair. If there is only one brake pad that needs repair they won't tell you to replace all 4. We have had terrible experience in another shop who we suspect would fix a problem and then create another so he would end up replace a more expensive item. This will not happen at BNC. As for the look issue , I think it's more of a communication break down then a real problem. Ben is always patient with explaining the problem and even show us exactly what and where the issue is. I fully recommend this shop for car repair. If Ben cannot fix your problem he will recommend a shop who could instead of replace and charge you for something your car doesn't need. read more

From reading Medina's post alone, I feel it's safe to assume that she probably gets those looks from most people because she seems like a jerk. That said, our family has been taking our cars to BNC for years and have always gotten quality service. They're honest, fast, and good at what they do. We've taken in our cars for all sorts of services, so they are definitely not a simple lube shop. If you feel like you've had bad customer service or are getting "f-off" looks, you might want to remember that English is not the first language over there and I myself have gotten those confused 'please-slow-down' looks. They're very patient and willing to help, but you need to be patient when explaining exactly what you need done. If you storm in there assuming they already know what you want, then yeah, you're probably going to get a few strange looks. Calm the hell down. read more
