My friends love color, and the designers worked with them to take out a couple of walls, merge the dining area, and turn a closed L-shaped kitchen into an open festive space with yards of counter space, walls of cabinets, and easy seating for twelve! Did my friends love working with Seriously Happy Homes? Totally! Do they love the result? Absolutely!

She is patient and kind as she walks you through the design process and answers your (inevitable) many questions each step of the way. We worked with her to redesign three spaces in our home: our kitchen, and two bathrooms. With each space, she found ways to approach them in new and practical ways when we felt otherwise overwhelmed. She guided us through choosing stunning finishes, and we received so many compliments from contractors and friends alike along the way. We had never done a remodel - and now, being on the other end of the process, we don't know where we would have been had we not had her detailed designs to guide us all along the way. Whenever questions arose, it was invaluable to have something so concrete to refer to, and we can't recommend this approach enough for anyone considering a remodel.

Last year I hired Lindsey to help me with everything from layout design to piece selection. Lindsey was extremely attentive and made the entire process very easy. Due to the distance (I live in San Diego), LIndsey and I completed the initial stages (determining my needs/constraints of the space/budget/etc...) via telephone and email. The design process was enjoyable, with Lindsey providing layouts and piece recommendations for my comment. Her engaging personality made providing feedback easy. Where do I even start? Sherri is the real deal and has a true GIFT when it comes to helping others…read more We have worked with her from 2015 during the organizing process, and her and John in 2016 in the design process. This journey has been a complete LIFE CHANGER. I have to agree with the other reviewer about how she is "part organizer part therapist". Before, my husband and I were in transition going from 2 separate homes to 1, and life was messy and unmanageable...and our home reflected that. We had double or triple of things which were randomly placed. It was so overwhelming that it was a huge source of stress and most likely put a strain on our relationship. What happened? We hired Sherri not knowing how brilliant she was. Her personality is warm, compassionate, and totally non-judgemental. This is so important because messiness can come with shame. She was so supportive in OUR vision of our home, and taught us the skills, tools, and systems needed to organize. I also want to note she genuinely wanted to get to know us as a whole person, not just getting things organized. Now, yes, things can get easily get "messy" but we know exactly where things go and cleaning is quick and easy. No more stress anymore. Things in our home have a system tailored to our lifestyle. I can now organize on my own because I have the techniques I learned with Sherri. Her husband, John is fantastic too, and are glad we got a chance to work with him during our design renovations in our home. He's very professional and organized when dealing with scheduling and contractors. Absolutely recommend Sherri and John!! Thank you for helping us!

I can give you every reason / excuse as to why I hadn't been able to get my act together, but you already know. Christy was able to approach my situation in a way that was caring and fun. She wasn't just trying to help me "get rid" of stuff, but really had me look into why I felt the need to have X in the first place. We'd talk it through, come up with a solution, and act on it. Super cathartic. She'd give me realistic "homework" to do until next time, and of course, I'd make excuse why it wasn't done. No judgement! I looked forward to seeing her each time. Here's the thing. Would my life be better if she lived in my home and did it for me? Sure! And she can " just do it" for the client. But for me, her methods have bled over into every aspect of my life. She "taught" me how to take these methods into work, into a way of thinking when approaching just about everything. And time flies when you are with her. Her personality and optimism is contagious! And she can shift focus at a moment's notice. Don't want to tackle de-cluttering closet today? Really need assistance in digital filing ( organizing that crazy computer, bills, etc)? She can do that, too. Need more sessions with her for sure, but not bc she didn't succeed. But bc I want to continue to better my life and 46 years of habits can be tough to break. And face it, we can all benefit from continuing to grow and be our better selves.

We first met after being introduced by the architect I hired (some friends who had hired her some years ago had given her a recommendation as well). Our first meeting was complimentary and I was impressed with her vivacious personality, straightforwardness and her apparent interest in my project (including the ideas I already had in mind). In regard to her design skills/sense, Elizabeth, having been in the business for a number of years, has acquired fantastic connections for resources and vendors. She directed me to (or met me at) multiple businesses to check out ideas/products during the process to formulate and bring to fruition my kitchen design. An additional plus is that Elizabeth has the innate sense when to take the initiative for ideas, solutions and style and how and when to really listen to me when I had a strong opinion of what I wanted to see or achieve. Here's an example of how we worked together: I had virtually made up my mind on one color of red (after considering many and trying out two samples painted on the wall) but she pointed out a slightly different shade of red that I had not looked at before.....I am so happy that she had that color wheel...it is perfect in my kitchen! Elizabeth was (and continues to be) extremely helpful while coping with some unfinished, relatively smaller (but important to me) details relative to the vendors and my contractor. Considering the entirety of my project, the singularly most positive factor was my relationship with Elizabeth Anderson. I highly recommend her services.

It's a big space, feels spacious inside and so well decorated. They have a studio space upstairs and a display room + shop downstairs. They have a smaller selection, but great to see options that are from a local small business vs. a big box store. Price ranges are anywhere from $500+ for small furniture pieces and up. Home decor and accessories like candles, frames and art are reasonable, boutique pricing as expected. Love that they have a parking lot as well. I'll definitely keep them in mind for when I'm ready to do some true interior designing.

It's a beautifully-decorated shop, and the customer service lady (I didn't get her name) was super friendly and very welcoming to my husband and I. We didn't need any interior design services at this time, but we had an uplifting browse, and we bought a couple of nice-smelling candles, along with a wick-trimmer. Stopping in to this lovely little shop made our day better. I see here on the yelp page for this business that this business was established in 2014, however, when I asked the customer service lady when they'd opened, she told me that they'd opened in February of this year! I thought that was gutsy because I hadn't known this business existed before today, so I got the mistaken impression that the business was brand new. Perhaps she meant that this particular location opened in February 2021. In any case, I wish them all the luck, and I thank them for bringing a cheerful and uplifting experience to my day today! I would definitely go back if I was in the area.

All on-call contacts and e-mail communications I had with them were professional and they were prompt in providing honest answers regarding situation/timeframe of when the job could happen. What I liked was that the company was quite dependable. Once they understood the scope of work, you got the design, choices to pick/opportunities to provide feedback and select the options like colors/additional add-ons, and things generally flowed quite well. Unlike my experiences dealing with other contractors, they were pretty dependable and you could count on them holding up to their promises in terms of price estimates, timeframe of when the job could happen, and the duration of the job. Given how professional their company was from pretty much my interaction with all the individuals there (General manager, office lady who picks up the call and designer), I would definitely use them again when the next opportunities to remodel/custom make cabinets/closet/workspace at my townhome in Seattle in the future.
