ATTN: MANAGEMENT OR OWNERS ============================= The customer service at this location is appalling. The inventory isn't great. I used to like this place to get plants and just look at my previous "Review of the Day". You just lost my business because your staff have zero people skills. You also don't have smaller plants that are in demand like the Swiss cheese plant or fiddle leaf fig. Yeah, I know you just have larger, more expensive ones so people will get sucked into buying those. I visited today and one of your staff almost ran over me with a cart of plants. No "excuse me" or anything. Then the guy at check out was not polite at all. No "hello" or "thank you" for spending $11 on a dinky plant. Never again.

This place rocks. This is my go-to nursery! Great selection of plants, planters, and they were kind enough to repot my monstera for me (for a fee of course) and helped load it into the car for me. Unreal selection, planters, and friendly staff.

Pretty plant shop in Pasadena! Entering and exiting the parking lot is not the best but hey, at least there is a lot! I picked up some planters to bring home before the stay at home order was issued and I liked what I saw. Decent prices (a good amount more than The Home Depot though) and loads of gorgeous plants that looked like they were in good condition. As far as planters go, I wish they had more of a selection because a lot of them were either terracotta or plastic pots and I was looking to find something more along the lines of what I've seen online at The Sill and Bloomscape (the prices aren't far off, but I was hoping to avoid shipping delays). Not sure I'll be back soon because I wasn't "wowed" but in general, I would say that they have a fair amount of options for plant parents.

Great hipster nursery. There are two sides to the nursery - one completely outdoors and the other side of the alley is where they have anthuriums, calatheas and aglaonema indoors. I love how many plants this nursery has and the range of sizes. You can get a huge mature plant. A medium sized one or a baby. Love the variety for home size. I scored a chocolate mint plant from here for only $3! All staff and customers are required to wear masks. They also practice social distancing. Tip - ask for a cart to help you carry all your plant babies!

Hubby of the year rushed down to this nursery today and picked up two BEAUTIFUL polka dot begonias today. What I love about BLVD Nursery is their social media presence and always refreshing their stock and their feed with current availability and items "coming soon." When you're searching for a specific plant or for something to go in a specific spot in your home, BLVD Nursery is your spot to go to. Everything they have is quality and they're so friendly and helpful. Love this spot, wish they had Sunday hours.

*Open during COVID times!* Cute little hipster nursery with decently priced plants. They have a rather small parking lot in the middle, but we parked outside due to it being Pasadena. They have 1 interior building for indoor plants and a vast exterior for outdoor/minimal indoor lighting plants. Looks as though they re-designed the location for COVID to allow for more outdoor browsing, which was really nice! The staff was super friendly over IG and over the phone due to it being July 4th weekend. They have up-to-date plants and order them pretty frequently, so follow them on IG! We ended up getting a few plants: Peace Lily, Snake Plant, Rubber Plant, and a Calathea Madellion along with a few pots. They have a 15% off plant + pot combo right not, but unsure of how long the discount will last. Happy Plant Shopping!

What can I say about this place. I love this place. If you look through my reviews, I visited a bunch of nurseries in the greater Los Angeles area. This place is our favorite. The nursery is a good size. It's not huge like some of the other places I visited but it's big enough. There's a great selection of plants and a fantastic selection of succulents. Almost all of the succulents looked great and the prices were very reasonable. This is the place that we will shop from now on. The only thing is the pebbles were a bit on the pricey side. We wanted to get white pebble stones with our succulents but it was $90 for 50 lb bag. We would need at least 4 of those bags. Yikes! So we went to Lowes and found something similar for $6 for 20 lb bags. There's a small parking lot that holds about 6-7 vehicles. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Great selection of pots inside, healthy indoor plants, great value on succulents, kind staff! Love coming here. Limited parking but there's a good flow of people. I've never experienced long wait times like Home Depot so people are always coming and going so I've usually found parking easy.

One of the best nurseries in the area! They have a wide variety of plants all under one roof... all of which are in great shape! Prices are average so you won't feel bad for picking up a few more plants than you initially intended. There is limited private parking or you can park on orange grove. The gentleman at the register is really kind and will help you with any question you may have. I've been here 3 times already and will continue to shop here. Love this place!

A lot of variety plants here from succulents, house plants, herbs, vegetables, etc. they also sell soil. They have the outside area where most of their plants are and the indoor area where they sell some more house plants, and lots of pots! All different sizes and types of styles! The prices are reasonable, parking is fairly easy. Either you can park in their small lot inside or find street parking.

They have some of the best variety of indoor and outdoor plants, good quality pots, and friendly, helpful staff! I have visited a number of nurseries in the area (Pasadena, Alhambra, San Gabriel, etc), and this place seems to have the healthiest plants I have seen so far. I bought about a dozen indoor and outdoor plants from them about 2 months ago, and they are all going quite strong (except my bougainvillea, which were attacked by aphids about a month ago, but they are finally recovering). I like that they have a range of sizes for many of their plants, so if you want a smaller version, or don't want to pay for a 5 ft tall plant, you can get a more economically priced one to grow at home. They also will probably have all of the trendy plants and stylish pots you are looking for. Think fig plants, rubber plants, all types of succulents and cacti...from thumb-sized to towering 6+ ft above you... Also, if you buy a plant and a pot there, you can ask them to pot it for you for free (you just have to come back to get it the next day). Highly recommend! Oh, and all of the staff seemed to be following masking and social distancing protocol for the pandemic.

Passed by many times but in desperation after looking all over for two one-gallon gardenias, stopped into this huge, wholesale corner nursery. They have EVERYTHING. The condition of their plants is superb. While they seem to focus on large landscapers they promptly found my two small plants and were happy to help. Good find! read more

Such a cute nursery! Decided to check them out today and I'm so glad I did. They have an indoor and outdoor section and lots of pots. The employees were super friendly and even gave care tips on the plants I bought. The prices were pretty good and all the plants looked healthy and well cared for. I ended up getting a variegated string of hearts, a snow queen pothos, and neon philodendron. They even gave me 10% off since it was my forst tome there. So sweet! I'll definitely be back again soon :) read more

amazing customer service! i've been meaning to leave a review since my first visit two months ago. i was in search of a small nursery to support to buy some indoor plants, and stumbled across BLVD nursery on instagram! this is a beautiful plant nursery with a large selection of both indoor and outdoor plants. i swear i could spend all day there! i was in love w the selection of fiddle trees they had, from large to small. i ended up getting a fiddle leaf tree in addition to another indoor plant. they're both happy and thriving! we also ended up purchasing pots for both plants, and they potted them for free for us, which was a nice touch! (i was scared of potting such a large plant on my own) if you're in the pasadena/ sgv area, def give them a shot! everyone there was super nice, the plants are beautiful, and the overall ambiance was great! i visited during covid and everyone had masks on and i felt super safe while shopping. read more

New favorite nursery! There's a little bit of everything here, so I'd definitely take time to look around :) Miguel helped me and was so sweet, considerate, and full of knowledge! He helped me with every question or concern I had; spent time getting my order together, drilled holes in the bottom of certain pots, and even did some math to make sure I bought enough potting soil. I've found my new go-to plant nursery. Stopped by for the first time, and was so impressed with the layout, quality, selection, and customer service. Having worked in retail and at Disney where customer service is everything, I really appreciated the staff's attentiveness and friendliness, especially in this season of hostility and social distancing. I found exactly what I came looking for, a marble queen pothos and a philodendron brasil, which are two of the healthiest and fullest plants I've purchased from both big box stores and local nurseries within a 20 mile radius. Prices are very reasonable and I even got a 10% off discount for checking in on Yelp. Spoke to who I believe is the original owner's son who revamped the place and has opened it up again recently. Whatever changes they made worked because I was so blown away by this nursery. Will be back again soon! read more

Because there's not much to do during this pandemic, I suddenly decided that I need plants in my life. I quickly yelped nurseries and found this one and they are open. I am so glad I did. They have a great selection from indoor and outdoor plants. I loved just walking around and looking at everything. Don't worry people are practicing social distancing. The staff are helpful. Lorenzo helped me picked out some plants and also helped me load it in my car. There's not much parking inside but there's plenty of street parking. I also got the 10% discount for checking in on yelp. Now I want more and will definitely be back. read more

It's nice and clean. The plant are really healthy. Prices are reasonable. They have a good selection of pots. But the nursery is kind of small. I found out about this place from a review on San Gabriel's nursery. The commenter said they came here instead and raved about it. So I made my way here. And again it's really nice and prices are good, but it's small and selection is limited. read more

Like so many, an itch for a focus Lyrata started it all. I was looking for indoor, low to medium light plants to an apartment and BLVD did not disappoint! Great inventory, excellent prices, mostly outdoor so super safe during social distancing. If you're indecisive like me, have an idea of what you're hoping to get and then be prepared for that to shift because there are so many beautiful choices at this nursery. Staff was super nice and I saw many people getting loads of help. So happy to have this place not too far away! read more

Fantastic nursery with lots of variety. They have plenty of trees, succulents, plants, pottery you name it. Everything looks super fresh and healthy. What I liked the most is that they have all the plants in multiple sizes for all budgets. We got this Tineke ficus for $23.99 and liked it a lot. It totally caught our eye the second we saw it. They also even have a smaller size for $10 bucks and can go up to $100 or more. Only issue is the small parking lot. There is decent street parking along Marengo. I'll definitely be back for more! read more

I loved strolling around the variety of foliage here. Staff was so friendly and eager to help. I went there in search of a prayer plant, which they had in two sizes and two colors. I normally get any live plant or flowers from downtown for the price, but under current COVID conditions, I felt more comfortable going to a smaller nursery. They had a great variety of ferns, succulents, cacti, and landscaping foliage. They had the plant i was looking for in two sizes and two colors which was great. I picked up four smaller indoor plants including a pilea. My prayer plant is thriving, however the smaller four are already goners (a month old). I am a great plant mom, i have over a dozen indoor plants, so i am not sure what happened. But it was worth investing in a larger plant. read more

10/10 would recommend. They had so many plants to choose from! I came in trying to buy a single plant and left with five. RIP. They had mini fiddle figs called bambino's and I just...couldn't resist. Prices aren't too bad either compared to other places. The only "issue" I had was the 4" potted plants outgrew their pots but I mean...it's a 4" pot. Like what am I supposed to expect. I'm really not trippin hard over that since it was a deal. They also sell pots and soil too! The pots are in the building with the register and you'll find the soil (amongst other goodies) toward the right side. Honestly, it's worth checking out!! They have a parking lot that's divided into two sections. It's free too. read more

I wanted to buy a nice house plant for my sister's birthday. She just moved to Pasadena and has been through a lot (pandemic, new baby, work and housing stress) so I thought a cute little plant would be good. I live in another state but wanted to buy one from a local nursery. Miguel at Blvd helped me set up the perfect plant and pot (the cute little calathea below), wrote a little card to attach, and they deliver locally ($30 flat fee, but I was expecting that and it was in my price range). He even suggested facetiming with me through the store to find the a good plant remotely. That was not necessary since I could pick out options from the pics on yelp, but very generous of him! My grandma loves her yard and is continually buying plants, grass, etc. However, our main destination was typically Home Depot. Not anymore! This place literally has everything your garden needs. Staff is very helpful and readily available to answer any and all of your questions. They even put the items I bought in the car for me. Parking is limited in the parking spots but when I arrived there were plenty of spots. You actually pull into the nursery and park. Street parking is also available but limited as well. Their prices are decently priced, on some items even better priced (example: I went in specifically for grass, they gave me more for the same price as Home Depot). Overall, the workers are very professional, efficient, and friendly. I will definitely be back! read more

One of the nurseries I visit super often because of the amazing pot selection!! My local nursery always runs out of these brown pots so quick even if I buy in bulk, but the last couple of visits to BLVD were great because they always had my fav pots in stock! Their plant selection is pretty large and diverse as well! Overall a great spot, I think I've already purchased like 15 terra cotta pots from here! read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE. BLVD Nursery was recommended to me by a friend since I am a new plant enthusiast and wanted to go to the best place. I came here looking for a ZZ plant and was not disappointed since they have a lot in stock, differing in sizes/heights. Since I am a newbie at this, I needed help with pretty much everything lol. Originally, I bought a smaller pot for my 8" ZZ plant. But THANKFULLY, I was helped by Gilbert and told me that I should get a bigger pot because the plant will outgrown them and therefore, I would be spending more money if I buy another pot later on. He showed me all the pots he recommends. Gilbert also told me all the tips and even set up my plant in the pot so it sits nicely. In all, it was just a good experience--they have so much plants, but it's the customer service that made it more magnificent and will make me come back for more! Shoutout to Frank as well for also helping me during the checkout process :) PS. they have a promo going where you get 15% off if you buy a plant and pot together AND another 10% off on top of that if you check in via Yelp!! read more

Awesome, reasonably priced neighborhood nursery that has been reimagined catering to the plants that are popular with the Instagram crowd but still has a large and diverse variety of options. The only place I've seen with a lot of options for Monstera Deliciosa (aka Swiss cheese plant) and Staghorn ferns. They also have wonderful airplant options. Beautiful modern pottery. They have a great selection of plants here. So much to choose from and very well organized. The entire area is mostly shaded which makes it so much more enjoyable to stop by and do a little shopping. I always end up leaving here with a few more plants than I had planned to get! The prices are reasonable and the staff is very attentive and helpful. read more

Love this place!!! Always find favorite plants here!! Their plants look very healthy and alive every time I visit. Their staffs are very helpful and friendly. I just wish they had wagons instead of carts. It would be easier to move around and they don't have much carts so today I had to carry my plants and flowers, but no biggies I am happy with my purchase. read more

I was looking for a gift and was helped by a wonderful employee. Pots and plants = happy friends. I spent $17.99 for the pot, $11.99 for the plant. Lots of options, but that seemed to be the cheapest combo. There are houseplants for $9.99 no pot. Looking forward to coming back once I move for some beautiful plants of my own! read more

I love this nursery! It has a modern urban type of set up and feel. The plants are very healthy and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have great deals. There is some parking but also expect that you may have to park on the street. Depending on the time it can be a little tough to find parking but this wasn't a deal breaker for me. read more

This place has very good reputation but my experience was pretty bad. It was mostly a problem with communication. They told me they were busy and I was not in a hurry to get my lawn mower running again. But after 3 weeks I had not heard from them so I tried to call them. Could not get anyone to answer the phone. So I drove down there only to find out they were waiting for an approval, which they do not get because they never called me. He told me it would be ready in a couple days, but when I got there the service manager had neglected to tell the technician that I had approved the repair so it was not done. After telling me it would be ready in a couple more days, I drove down there after 4 days only to find out that it was not done because they could not find the diaphragm for the carburetor. Once again, they never called me. So after for 5 days I called again and amazingly they answer the phone and lo and behold they had found the part and it was finished. Yay, but wouldn't it be normal for a repair shop to call you and let you know the problem was solved in the repair was finished? In over a month, I never received one phone call from them. To explain what was going on. The manager's excuse was that they were very busy, but to me that's just an excuse because they have apparently no protocol 4 communication with customers. But at least the lawn mower is finished and is working great. read more

Prices were very competitive, when I was there today, a lot of the pots were on sale too. I was actually just there to get some mulch. My favorite part was finding native plants here. And I managed to snag the last white sage, and they still had plenty of narrowleaf milkweed for anyone else also looking to attract some monarch butterflies. I also love that this nursery has been around for 35 years and the owner is still super active around the shop, chatting with customers and carrying my mulch for me. I can really feel the local family business vibe here!

The garden center is immaculately maintained & inventory is plentiful. I was looking to find a professional to recommend a liner for my planter to prevent corrosion, so I may reuse it for the next season for other plantings. Audel suggested a liner that prevents weeds from proliferating as well. It turns out Hubby has a roll in the back of our truck. Bought fertilizer that he recommended & lantana as a draw for pollinators. I googled it & it states I plant it alongside my basil, tomato & marigolds. Parking is dedicated & free. Highly recommend this nursery. Staff are super helpful & cordial. Price-wise, may be equal to home dept or more but the service is topnotch comparably.

At this point, I'm intrigued and want to see where this goes, and you know what? He pet some of the koi fish in the pond, I have to admit I haven't seen that before (Kiddo was too scared to try). But THEN he starts telling us about these two plants next to the pond -- Mexican Mint and Sage -- and how their smell repels mosquitos. Kiddo has a huge bug bite on his leg, so the sale was pretty much instant. I planted them in my backyard this afternoon. So, this four star review is a five because of Vic and his kid charming skills. Four stars is because I wish they had a few more native options, but I'll go back because Vik made the experience.

We hired them for a full backyard Reno with full wall of ficus trees, full DG backyard with gravel edges, and a wood fence. Everything was going smoothly with scheduling and communication. When the actual work got started, I noticed the DG was not high-quality. It contained a lot of large rocks. Also, they were not digging out enough dirt before laying the DG. I had to bring that up to the foreman and they did dig up some more dirt before laying the DG. When the work was done, a foreman did a quick walk-through with me and I thought everything looked good. We were told not to walk on the wet DG for a day or two. So two days later when I did a better inspection, I started to notice a lot of shotty work. Specifically with the bender board dividing the gravel and I noticed that they used really small nails for the wooden fence. They did come back a month later to fix the DG because there were areas that were "bouncy", as if not enough DG was laid down. They had to dig up big rocks that were preventing the DG from compacting and they laid more DG on some areas. They also tried to fix some bender board problems, but they did a really horrible job. Three months later, some wood planks on our wood fence start curving and popping up. I called the company because our DG and our fence are under a year warranty. Jake asked me to email him with photos and he said he would call back to schedule a day for repair. Since then I have not heard back from them; they have completely ghosted me. I waited a month then I started calling and no one will pick up the phone. I've left messages and I sent text messages to project manager, Amanda, who was great at communication at first, but now has completely ghosted me as well. Meanwhile, we're still paying monthly for this backyard that is falling apart way too quickly. I'm going to just hire someone to fix the fence before it damages further. I would not recommend them again. Completely overpriced for what you get.

Some of their David Austins: Strawberry Hill, Claire Austin, Teasing Georgia, Tranquility, Queen of Sweden, Mary Rose, Princess Alexandria of Kent, Crown Princess Margareta, Tess of the d'Urbervilles, Olivia Rose, Charles Darwin, Carding Mill (tree form), Charlotte Rose, and many many more! They have an ENTIRE SECTION just for these beauties! 15 of my DAs are from here because they have the best price and best customer service! One of the owners, Dale, is so kind, helpful and knowledgable. He spends his time explaining everything and answering all my questions. He's very generous to even help us to the car. I left my number with Dale so when and if he gets more DAs, he will call me. What a great guy, right!?! That's what I call good customer service! I was a bit disappointed when I asked for help. I have been looking for an Egg Magnolia (Magnolia liliifera) which are very hard to find ! When asking the employee, she asked a colleague with her hand held radio. She tried a few times, but no response. She then showed me the very small selection of Magnolias they have - which wasn't much at all. I honestly didn't think she knew what an Egg Magnolia is. Really if you work at a nursery you should know more about plants, because from my interaction I could tell it was her first time hearing about this specific plant. If you're looking for rare plants, you may find what you're looking for. The inventory is quite vast & overwhelming. I suppose for an average person not looking for anything specific, this place would be lovely. I purchased an agave celsii nova for my front yard & a white rhino agave - 6" pot for around $80 which is a steal ! I have not seen them that low anywhere.

He has camellias at all sorts of sizes and different prices, starting at $15 for one gallon and $50 for 5 gallons which is the cheapest I've been able to find. He has bigger ones but that's all my car could fit. Overall an awesome nursery with the nicest and most knowledgeable employees. Everyone who worked at California Cactus Center was extremely helpful and pointed me in the right direction for what I was shopping for. It is really easy to get lost with their amazing selection of succulents. To make your life easier, use the locations price sheet. Not too many plants have prices but have alphabet tags. Which determines the price of the plant. Come early to avoid the crowds. Parking is limited but there is plenty of street parking.

Homage carries a lot of work by independent artists and artisans, including fine jewelry and ceramics. The last time I was here was with an out of town friend who was really tempted to buy a handmade pair of gloves. She ended up not getting them and called me regretting her decision. So, this place is great for worn accessories (scarves, jewelry, gloves...etc.) and beautiful housewares. The prices are maybe a bit high, but the quality of the goods is pretty high. Its kinda a long story, but heres goes.....I had taken in a power washer with issues related to the pressure regulator and asked if this was an issue that they were able to deal with. I also explained that the PW (power washer) would only run $250 new and my cap was $100 on the fix. I received a call saying the washer will be $130 and did i want to have it fixed. So i agreed and after they "fixed" the problem I picked it up and found that in fact, it was not. The same issue with the PW lacking pressure was $130 waste! I decided to take it back and after they looked it over it was concluded a $330 part was needed ! I was pretty upset! I explained that either I would like a $130 refund or a fixed PW! They understood and after ordering the part IT DID NOT FIT! This was Not there fault but they took the PW completely apart and refurbished everything inside! Now it works great and I know several hours put into my machine that the 130 did not cover this but I was not charged anymore and again THE PW WORKS GREAT. THANKS GUYS! YOUR AWESOME!!
