Awful, Awful, Awful! If your insurance company ever pairs you up with Blue Sky Restoration, do yourself a favor! Run, Run really far away! For those of you who maybe wondering why there are only 2 reviews about this company, here's the scoop. They changed their name! They used to be known as J.C. Restoration. Same lousy service, same lousy company. Here's my story. On June 19th 2021, my neighbor's house caught fire, melted my siding, and damaged 2 vinyl windows. By August, I was instructed to meet with J.C. Restoration about repairing my house. I paid them the $1000 deductible and, met with them to discuss when work would commence. They quoted me for all 4 windows on the exposure side. False! The 2 windows in the basement were unscathed. They are wooden and just fine. The upstairs windows were tweaked and warped because of the heat. Ok. Side a house (due to my current siding being no longer available) and change 2 windows. Sounds easy right? Lol! Ha! My neighbor's house was completely destroyed, with fire, smoke, and water damage throughout the house. It was gutted. Their house was worked on diligently. By October, the neighbor's house was totally complete after needing everything! My house? Still had destroyed siding and warped windows. I had called Ryan M. My project manager several times only to get treated to a birrage of excuses and circle talk. Winter's coming! I need this DONE! I finally called Ryan's boss to get the ball rolling here! House was finally sided in November of 2021. Ok. What about my windows? Nothing but excuses as to why they couldn't get them. From blaming the pandemic to blaming suppliers. Nothing but excuses! Meanwhile, the neighbor's house is completely rebuilt and beautiful! Ryan brings me a window. That's right, folks A window. Just 1. Ok, what's this? I ask him. Bathroom window, he said. Shouldn't bathroom windows be frosted for privacy? Ryan says "They don't make frosted windows for bathrooms anymore". Ok, now I'm being lied to. My buddy just had windows installed, WITH FROSTED BATHROOM WINDOWS! My mom just had windows installed. With frosted bathroom windows. Ryan then says he'd have them "laser etched" . Time to make like Nike and Just do it! So Ryan has me take off a day of work to have the windows installed. I wait around all day. I didn't receive a call from him, so, I decide to call. Ryan informs me that the truck broke down and that my windows would not be installed. Ok, I'm now out a day's pay. Joy!! I don't know what happened with my windows, maybe someone sent them back. He calls and says that they would be in February 27th, 2022. He then says that they only had the bathroom window. Was this fish story about the installer's truck breaking down just another Blue Sky Lie? I'll bet. February 27th 2022 comes and goes. No calls. No anything! At this point, I'm fed up with them. I decide to do an experiment. Have them call me! February, March, April, May, June, July, August, and part of September roll by. I finally get a call from Ryan. He wants to "meet with me" and get the windows installed. He asks me what my work schedule looks like. I tell him that weekends are open. He says that "we don't work weekends". Yeah? And, I cannot afford to miss another day of work due to your lies. After all this, he suggests crediting out the windows. His "credit" seemed rather short. I've called my insurance company and am having them hash this out. Look at their past reviews. J.C. Restoration. With appalling customer service like theirs, I'd want to change my name too! read more
