I paid well over $200 for hair and makeup. Not only did my makeup not look much like the photo I showed, but Artee took forever to barely curl the ends of my hair. I'd mentioned when booking the session how long my hair is. The curling iron used seemed to be very cheap, since the curling wand I have gives me way more curl in less than half the time. Honestly, I feel like I would have been happier had I just done my hair and makeup myself. It was a waste of over $200. I didn't feel like the eye makeup was flattering to my face. Artee took photos afterwards and said she would post them on Instagram, but never did. I'm sure even she could see it was far from her best work. Also, the parking was super confusing at their place, and no instructions or tips were given, so that was frustrating. read more

Blush and Glow made me feel beautiful, comfortable, and relaxed for my wedding weekend. Anita is truly a Master Artist -- with just a few minutes of conversation around the looks I wanted, she was able to work her magic. 1) The makeup looked flawless to begin with, and continued to stay fresh hours and hours and hours later the rest of the night. I got so many lovely compliments. 2) Despite being long lasting, the makeup felt light and was never cakey. Anita has a knack for blending the right colors for your skin tone so it's always a true match. 3) Anita can literally create thousands of different looks, so if you have multiple events, you get the benefit of something slightly different every day. For my Sangeet, I chose an Old Bollywood glam look. For my wedding, I kept it traditional but still updated. And for my reception, I chose a half up half down sparkly glam. 4) Anita works quickly. This is important during a packed wedding weekend. Follow Blush and Glow's recommended schedule, set up enough time for transitions, and have confidence that they will deliver high quality results in that time. In particular, I was amazed at how fast she worked magic in all the hair styles. Anita showed up early for all our appointments, was very positive to work with, and truly made me feel comfortable. She is a true professional in every sense of the word. 5) Follow the Blush and Glow artists on Instagram to get an idea of their clients that they post about on the weekends! While I was shortlisting my hair and makeup vendors, this let me see the reality of the work they do, and I was 100% comfortable that B&G would deliver a high quality result because I saw their real outputs from actual clients. Bottom line, Blush and Glow is definitely on the high end of wedding hair and makeup vendors but is a slam dunk choice that won't go wrong. If you are a Texas bride (or any state, really) do not book anyone else for hair and makeup! I got engaged in May 2015 and they were the first vendor I booked once I had a date because there wasn't anyone I trusted more than Anita at Blush and Glow. I booked them a year in advance to be safe and I am so glad I did. I booked her for my hair and makeup for my bridal portrait trial, my bridal portrait, a Gaye Holud, my Rehearsal Dinner and my Wedding ceremony and reception looks because I loved her makeup so much. Having spent a ton of hours with her, she is as pleasant and fun to be around as she is talented (very important when booking an artist for that many events!) She really cares about you as a person and makes sure that you are fully satisfied before finishing a look. She is a true artist and made sure that my hair and makeup was not only exactly as I envisioned it, but that each look lasted over 18 hours without touch ups. I have been married a month and I am still getting compliments over my hair and makeup looks. They are both incredible and I am soo happy I chose them for my wedding!! I was fortunate to have Artee as the makeup artist for my mom and me. Even though I didn't have a specific style in mind, I wanted to be glowing, while looking as natural as possible. I did a makeup trial with another makeup artist before Artee, but wasn't pleased with the look. When I told Artee what I was looking for, she knew exactly what I wanted, and created that natural look I was aspiring for. For my actual events, she was able to glam me up in a different look for each event, while still keeping in with my "natural" theme. My mom and I was very pleased with both our our makeup looks. We commend the professionalism and prompt timing of Artee. In retrospect, I wish I had taken Artee's advice of using hair extensions. A tip to future brides - I would definitely recommend giving yourself enough time for multiple makeup trials to ensure they've obtained your perfect look. read more

Anita with B&G was absolutely amazing. I was lucky enough to have my makeup done with the B&G team as a bridesmaid for one of my best friend's wedding and knew that I would have them glam me up for my big day. I had a quick consult with Anita discussing the "look" that I was trying to accomplish, review any reservations I had, questions, and discuss my skin type. Anita was very sweet and helpful - she even had ideas for my hair and dupatta pinning during my consult that we discussed. I really didn't provide a lot of guidance to Anita, but she NAILED my wedding ceremony and reception look. I am still so amazed at how flawless my hair, makeup, and my outfits looked. (Anita got me dressed, and did my jewelry setting, too). I received so many compliments and truly felt like a queen. B&G also did my bridesmaids makeup and hair and they look absolutely gorgeous.
