I came here because my hair stylist was out of town. I booked a month in advance and I called the day before I was booked to confirm my reservation. When the receptionist answered, she did not recall my reservation. The person who took my reservation did not put it in the books. I needed to go to a wedding. This hairstyle was because I was a part of the wedding. Fortunately, the receptionist was able to squeeze me in 15 minutes after my actual appointment. As I arrived on time, the stylist made me wait 15 minutes after my new appointment time. Inconsiderate and unprofessional if you ask me. I asked for a copycat style, but the look was very tight. I asked for loose and soft style just like the photo and it was not the same whatsoever. Thankfully, for my first time I was able to get 10% off, and the price wasn't too much, but I wouldn't come here again for a style. I'll look into getting my hair colored when the time is right. read more

Last week I went in for a blow out and was highly impressed. I canceled an appointment which would've required me driving 3 hours back home and immediately scheduled my appointment for a bleach (and tone only bc they didn't know what they were doing) rootouch up and cut here. Fast forward to today. After FIVE AND A HALF HOURS in the chair and $300 that I was expecting to be charged, I came home and cried over the final result. When I called to asked for an explanation and told them how upset I was, I got a half assed apology. Nothing, at this point, can be done in the salon to make it better without losing more length or frying my hair. I am a licensed cosmetologist. I know what I'm talking about. And I have been doing my own hair and get more compliments on it than any time I've ever gone somewhere else. So I know what I'm talking out. It's a shame, bc the salon and the girls are nice. And the blowouts are great. But I'm fuming right now over how little they care about how upset I am. UPDATE: The owner of the salon called me to apologize and asked me to meet her so we could discuss how to go about making things right... I went out of my way to meet her and she did NOTHING other than say, "it's not bad, it's just not what you wanted." Not what I wanted is bad. Period. Also, it's the WRONG cut, makes no sense, and even someone in the dental field asked what happened to my hair. She claimed she was going to look at my bill and get back in touch with me, but I have still not heard from her. Not a great way to run a business. read more

I made an appointment online with Mayra for a haircut and it said it would cost 50$. I came in for my appointment and Krystal did my hair instead. She did a great job and the staff were friendly. But, when it was time to check out my bill came out to $70. I said when I scheduled online it was only $50 and was told that because Krystal is a master stylist, it's $70. When I said I had made an appointment with Mayra, she said "Oh yeah, we did change that." It's been 7 months since my last haircut and I waited that long because I can't afford to spend $70 every time I get a haircut. She did a great job on my hair, & I didn't argue about my bill, but I would like to have been told up front when they changed my stylist, it would cost 20 more dollars. read more

This salon uses quality hair products which is something to look for when looking for a salon. You really do get what you pay for! I got a blonde balayage and Mayra knew exactly what i wanted. Adriana was so welcoming and I explained to her I was looking for a chocolate brown but she was suggesting a possible balayage. I've had bad experiences before with balayage since my hair catches a copper tone. Fast forward, she nailed it! I was very impressed that I didn't see any copper in my hair, that was the first for me. She did a blow out afterwards and I couldn't believe it was my own hair. I made an appointment here and was very excited to go. First of all, very clean and beautiful place! But unfortunately when I got here I checked in and the receptionist told me my hairdresser would be with me soon. My hairdresser was the lady she was having a conversation with and they just needed to finish TALKING before seeing me, VERY unprofessional. When I sat down and talked to the hairdresser I was sadly told I couldn't do my hair because I scheduled a "one process hair color," and bleaching wasn't part of it. Okay got it, I understood. After asking what I should schedule, for what I wanted, there was an awkward silence and stares because even she didn't know what to answer with until seconds later, wow. My question was answered with a "UHHHH.. well I think color correction. This is why we do color consultation." I had a problem with this because the way she answered me was very rude and snobby. How can people like this work here? I didn't schedule a color correction because that is not what I wanted, completely different thing, and I didn't do hair consultation because I knew what I wanted. I wasn't even OFFERED to to get my hair mask/hair cut that I scheduled for as well!!! But I was surely charged $42.50 for CANCELING my appointment I showed up for. Seriously? Can't not believe the service here. I didn't ask for a refunded because at this point I was over it and didn't feel like arguing. This isn't what expected and can't believe I was charged since at first she said NO CHARGE then said "well this is considered canceling." Then they wanted to reschedule me, yeah no thank you. About a month ago I walked into Blankanvas to get my hair colored, not knowing really anything because I'd never been before. I was extremely surprised and relieved at how relaxed and comfortable they made me feel!! The vibe was different from probably every other salon I've been too. It's not huge or super fast paced so they help make it as personal as possible!! As soon as I walked in the door everyone was welcoming and super sweet. Very nice instagram pictures, very beautiful salon. Adriana does a good job coloring, but I don't think they know how to cut hair, unless you want long straight hair. It's a good place for highlights but not for getting sassy haircuts. I didn't like how they styled it either. read more
