I don't know why though, this is the first time I had this happen, lol. Anyways, the area I stayed in is across the lake from the flat campground... in the woody area. Overall, I had a good experience. It is quiet and peaceful here. There are other guests staying here as well, but everyone is respectful. Electricity and water are included except for sewer. They do a run once a week with a honey wagon with a fee of 8 bucks. Oh well. Another thing is that there is a rail road next to the woody area and multiple trains go by day and night. I guess you can get used to it, lol. It was a good place to stay at though. The staff is super accommodating and helpful. I would definitively recommend this campground.

The parks residents are living in broken down RVs, some of which are falling apart at the seams. There is no sewer and the dump station was overflowing into the surrounding grass. The cost is $40 and cash only. It's not worth even close to that. I bet the IRS would be interested in all that cash for tax purposes. I encourage anyone thinking about stopping to pass this place and go to another.

We camped there for one season and my kids were harassed every weekend with threats of their parents getting kicked out for the kids forgetting to bring a bag when they took our dogs for a walk (the dogs did NOT use the restroom on this walk), the kids were throwing small rocks in the water (that's not allowed, so the kids stopped), and we did lie about our son turning 16 when he got his drivers permit and let him drive our non-street legal golf cart around the campground. We apologized for this and asked for a second chance and we were told we had to leave; the rules are the rules. Well we know of another parent that lied about this same thing and they were NOT kicked out for this. We also know that a drunk man driving a boat hit other boats on three separate occasions before they were kicked out. Our son was on our golf cart insurance and was legally allowed to drive this as long as it was not on the road. Jason (the owner) has separate rules for his 'friends' that camp there. He also likes to get intoxicated and yell and cuss at his campers then cry for hours past quiet hour about his personal life and talk about how hard it is to run a campground. He is very unstable and unfit to run a campground and his mother, Betty, likes to yell and scare the kids/teens. She made a friend of our son's wreck his bike when she grabbed his handlebars while he was riding his bike to yell at him to slow down. Jason has also promised things that never happened, but still raised our lot fee. Example: he never put in a basketball area for the kids, never added the second salt water pool, and lied about if you choose a site that is not on the water that a park model will not kick you out, Jason changed this rule mid-season (2020) and has allowed park models choose their site (not just on the water), and their boat dock and Jason has asked people to leave or put a park model there. That was not in the rules for 2020! He is only in this for the money and not the campers and what they want and need. Not everyone wants to buy a park model especially when you can only use two companies of HIS choice. They do not like people of color (harassed friends that we know, one was Mexican/American Indian, and the other was African American), you will not see people there of color or other backgrounds!

The campground is very well maintained. The campground is situated around a decent sized, rectangular shaped clean lake, with open fields around the campground, and Highway (Route 6), runs next to it, at the North end of the campground. The campground caters to the seasonal campers here, but it does have limited sites open to weekenders. The seasonal campers that I've met have been really nice. It's usually quite here, a great place to take kids to, as they can't really get into trouble, or go to far away. The lake is clean, with a little beach, 2 floating decks for the kids to play on. They also rent paddle boats and life jackets too. They have a small play area for the kids to have fun in. The showers are clean, they have a small general store/office that usually has what you may need. If not, Wal-mart is only about 1.5 miles away, as are other stores and restaurants. I suggest that you call and make reservations though, because they do fill up on weekends with different events going on in the area. And like I said, they don't have many open spots for weekend campers here, First come~First served.
