We probably could've stayed in the cabins and still pay way less than any hotels around town. I could not believe how close this was to CP. We literally turn out of the KOA and was at the light where the giant sign is in less than 60 seconds. The grounds were clean and our spot was very centrally located and it has a paved patio, a gliding bench, built it fire-pit, table with chairs and umbrella. We were easily able to come back to the campsite in the middle of our trip to eat lunch then go back instead of paying $20 for hot dog and fries, which was another big plus. I was also super impressed with the amenities. It has a pickleball court, which I've never seen before but definitely worth noting. Because it's one of their Halloween weekends, they had trick or treating, a mini carnival games thing that sells food and include games like tire toss where you're tossing heads into the tires, etc. At night, after it got dark, they literally set up a haunted house, which apparently was pretty awesome. I stayed back to watch the dogs, but I could definitely hear screams and clowns banging on some metal barrels and made it pretty legit. Being October, their 2 pools were obviously done, but there were 2 pools! We're definitely staying there again when we go back.

The cabin was spotless and all the linens were there. We had a great stay and the office staff was friendly every time we went in there. I took off 1 star because of the pool. They said it was heated but it was cold. I asked what they heat it to and they said 72 degrees. That's 5 degrees below the recommend swimming pool temps. The kids couldn't swim to long till they were too cold.

Very nice and clean campground except... I was sleeping the first night when I woke up to a putrid sour smell that reeked like vomit. Not just a slight hint in the air, it was SO STRONG. I actually felt nauseated from the smell. I had no clue what it could be until I later found out that the park keeps the dumpsters not even 100 feet from the first few campsites (including mine)... And don't think that the smell is just a one time thing, no. it's every day and every night, about every 10-20 min you get a WAFT of sour park trash. It is so strong and terrible I can't even sit outside and enjoy a campfire with my family and friends for more than 30 min without needing to go inside... I'm sure the smell is not even noticeable at farther sites, but the first few when you come in are AWFUL. Not to mention the sound of the rollercoasters test driving at 3 AM along with trucks slamming and beeping all night. so unless you somehow lost your sense of hearing and smell, I would recommend skipping the campsite and booking the hotel.

If you are desperate for a location and look to be mistreated and undervalued then please this…read morelocation is for you , they will gladly take your money and give you a spot to hookup , but dont expect anything more from them ! They claim to offer things that definitely dont exist or work well for guest , wifi or cable dont work , getting your grass cut or trash picked up or even being able to use the pool or hot tub . This location is all about the money ! Customer care is nonexistent, the manager and staff are not Customer service people just greed . They will nickel and dime you for everything! They are definitely overpriced and reaching on the title resort , when they dont offer much in the way of entertainment or activities for guest , and if you do attempt to have any type of fun on your site they will come by and count people and ask for arm bands , any one without a band they will charge you 10 dollars per person and claim they you are staying on property and its ohio health code rules its a money grab , if the code enforcement was actually a thing or they did the job correctly, this location would have violations all over , from guest sites flooding, to standing water in sites for days , we seen one couple that had water in their site most of the summer. The park doesn't do anything for mosquitoes, they claim the water fountains are the solution to what they offer , but over look the standing water they have and allow, also some guest had a large amount of animal poop the smell walking past was definitely noticeable. Along with others that have posted theft is real at this location, the grass company has damaged my neighborhoods fence , and taken things from other sites all reported to management no action was taken , other theft was a large amount of firewood from the store , that was reported but they let them stay for days at the campground , I hope to see other post with more of this park , they delete Facebook post so please dont believe all you read on Facebook!

I was sold on a family resort with…read moreactivities, crafts, park, movie nights, stocked ponds for fishing, pickle ball courts, pool, gas fire pits, courtyard lighting and a jumping pad for kids!! All construction to be completed by the time we moved into our new seasonal spot in May 2024. I absolutely did not expect things to be completed as promised in May, and not only were most all of the amenities incomplete, there was sadly zero communication or a timeline for when things would be completed. The park and jumping pad were closed most weekends for "construction" with no construction workers on site. They finally opened and were completed the weekend of the 4th of July. The seasonal bathhouse, across from the site I picked (paid 500 extra to choose the site) was never built but saved for phase 2 "in a few years". The destination campers for guests and families to rent were never delivered. As promised, a secure gate with key card access was never installed, a dog park for the seasonal side of the campground was never installed, basically the map I was shown in the sales pitch never came to fruition. The stocked ponds (retention basins) were never stocked with fish until mid October. Not a single email or communication, all season about when or why the projects could not or were not completed. My husband went to the office twice in person, and left a detailed message for Heather (general manager) only to get zero response back. Next, the resorts model is to only staff 4-6 people from 9-5pm only, even the camp store closes at 5pm. No staff presence at the park, pool or entrance to the resort. The gas fire pits sat incomplete and inoperable from May 1 until July 4th weekend. I observed multiple door dash drivers driving recklessly, in and out of the resort at all hours of the night. Again, no staff present meant that multiple family's were showing up at the pool letting their kids bring playing cards into the hot tub etc with no one to stop or correct these behaviors. The hired lawn mowing company hit multiple sewer hoses and put holes in them, and it was not communicated to guests. My very frustrated husband, left messages and fb messages in a private FB group (for seasonal guests only) reaching out to management looking for answers or any response to our concerns. Unfortunately, the managers husband (full time maintenance guy for RVC) showed up at my campsite (Labor Day weekend) and pounded on my camper door, immediately sent me into a state of panic screaming and cussing at my husband "your trying to get my wife fired, your a big p$&y and proceeded to try to start a fist fight with my husband in front of my two children. He also promised to get us kicked out of the campground while holding his phone shouting that he was "recording him" throughout the confrontation. It was so traumatizing for me personally, not only were we verbally assaulted, he had no regard for the fact that my children were standing outside watching, he was and still is employed by this company. This was our breaking point, and my husband immediately reached out to the VP of the resort, who apologized, brushed off our concerns and did not address the issue. After this event, we started getting regular emails with suspicious complaints, damages to the property (there were none) threats of footage of the vandals, but of course no footage could be found of these alleged incidents. Underage children crashing golf carts into camp posts with not a scratch or dent on ANY seasonal golf carts. I immediately felt remorse for not following my gut, filing a police report and pressing charges after the verbal assault and threats made to my family by the unruly maintenance employee. For the reminder of our season, I was saddled with worry and fear about the unstable employee lurking around the resort. Lastly, three days before pulling out the VP reached out and accused my husband of squealing his tires(again) pulling out onto the highway, only to be confirmed that it was not our trucks make or model.

Disappointing Experience - Avoid This RV Park…read more I strongly urge anyone considering Sandusky Milan RV Park to carefully look at a map before booking. This park is located directly next to active railroad tracks--with trains running loudly day and night--and also near the Ohio Turnpike, including several nearby bridges that amplify the constant traffic noise. To make matters worse, there's a grain elevator right across the main road that can start up at any time, producing both deafening noise and airborne dust. This is not a peaceful place to stay. We had traveled from Florida under very difficult circumstances--my wife's mother is in a nearby nursing home and her condition was declining. We booked a full month for $900, thinking we could make the daily trip to Bellevue to care for her. After just one night, it became clear that the park was too far for our needs. I approached the staff the next morning to explain the situation and request a refund. Unfortunately, the staff had no authority to help and said only the owner could make that decision. The owner eventually agreed to refund $500, keeping $400 for the one night we stayed. Even then, it took three weeks and a visit to a lawyer to get my refund. I had to sell personal belongings to get to Ohio, all to support my wife in a difficult time. As a disabled veteran trying to help a loved one, I was extremely disappointed with how this was handled. The lack of compassion and delay in refunding what was rightfully mine was deeply upsetting. $400 for one night and a three-week wait for the balance speaks volumes. Another thing that speaks volumes is John's lack of communication. He hides behind the staff and will not talk to you one-on-one. This is indicative of an untrustworthy person, so choose your campground wisely. There are better, quieter, and more respectful places to stay in the area. Avoid Sandusky Milan RV Park at all costs.

So I called the them asking what was going on with it and explained the situation again. The guy on the phone was very rude, asked if I was related to the neighbors which I'm not, and told me he had went through and inspected and found nothing and that it was a mess when I left. Both of which were obviously lies on their end because I triple checked and made sure everything was cleaned as it was when I arrived. Now I'm out $380 from the reservation, not to mention at least another $200-$300 from all my belongings I had to throw away because of them. I'm at extremely upset over this and do not suggest anyone to book with them. 1 star is honestly too high of a rating. WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD!!!
