Very well done! New paint, bedding, paintings on the wall, larger flat screen TV, microwave and fridge, etc. I had fresh towels and let me tell you, the place was quiet! No screaming children, weirdos lingering or any questionable behaviors. I felt safe here as a single traveler, which is important. I only have two issues with my experience. First, the fridge in the room was newer, but kept making a funny sound. It got rather annoying when I was trying to sleep and when I woke up. Minor? sure. It's not the end of the world. I could've asked for a room transfer but I was already settled in and only staying one night. Secondly, the outside needs more attention and upgrades. Yes, the rooms are great, but it needs more than paint. I sense their working on it, but between the weird fridge noises and the exterior needing some attention, I docked a star. When I tried to enter the front entryway, there was a homeless person sitting on its steps, so I had to walk around him. No offense to him, but I already didn't feel safe with the drug activity I'd seen at 12pm noon in the parking lot!! I waited at the front desk for almost 1.5 hours and NO Attendant whatsoever! I saw the Gen'l Mgr's business card, so I called him & no answer. I left a Voicemail--he NEVER returned my call! For my safety, I wanted to cancel my stay! Thankfully, a cousin of mine let me stay at her house, even though she had many other relatives staying there. Once I returned home, I called Priceline twice.
